All u do is gangk him a time or 2 and he gets screwed. 2nd of all u can crush him with cc. 3rd of all he cant face 1v1 with someone with cc like morgana. I am not saying he is bad noooooooo he is soooo fun! Also really good late game. It's just right now he may seem OP because no1 has found a decent counter or build. he isnt OP

Hey Ciderhelm, loved the video. I'm a vivid Jax player from before the dodge removal and Hextech Gunblade nerfs. I Couldn't help but notice that you get Will of the Ancients instead of The Gunblade. is this because it provides a better spell vamp needed for Jax's sustain? Or Just a personal preferance? I was just curious. But again great video.

I've been wondering what champions your can build a ''True'' Hybrid build on.

Jax is the perfect exampel since his relying on Auto attack and abilities while Katarina being the weakest relyes more on abilites, the other good exampel i've found is Miss Fortune.

Any Suggestions?

@zombine64 well I would go watevz u need early like wriggles or doran's blade. Than follow up with trinity and hextech as your 2 core items. Than just go for a wormogs, wits end atmas, rylias or sustainability. I havent tried rageblade on him yet that could work.

Jax is one of my brother's favorite champions. His username is Birkwood; I dunno if you've ever played with or against him.

My brother says he's amazing late-game after he'll built up. He says he's been able to get Jaax so much Lifesteal, he almost never dies.

Here something that might help some people with Jaxs Counter Strike, attacks (as cider said) that are mechanically similar to basic attacks are dodged, for example Vaynes condemm and rammas power ball are dodged BUT the cc effect (the knock back/knock up) is still applied.

You missed this, for Jax's counter strike, moves like Garen's Decisive Strike will not damage Jax, but will still briefly silence him

Hey Cider, great guide once again. I just started playing Jax and this will greatly help. I wish, however, you could include specific timings of cooldowns and other such things in your guides as they would be very useful to know. For example you say at max rank Jax's leap is available "very often" - but how often exactly? What is the cooldown? I get very annoyed at how vague the champion detail pages are in game, so putting specifics in your guides would greatly improve them in my opinion. :)

@lessthantheUK Believe it or not, my reason for avoiding specifics like that are exactly the same as Riot's reasons. These kinds of things get changed and tweaked from patch to patch, and the goal in both cases are descriptions that have as much longevity as possible (i.e. so I can keep making new movies instead of fixing old ones). As a rule of thumb, the lol wiki is usually a good place to check for accurate ability details like that, and I'd recommend bookmarking it.
