Oh they definitely achieved something. Their first album, Hybrid Theory, was (and still is) very, very good. Meteora was pretty good too. It was downhill from there. Minutes to Midnight was an album that contained very, VERY little of the rough energy made Linkin Park so great. A Thousand Suns is even worse. It's a shame, really.

Now that I have that meaningful argument out of the way, I'll say to you: Suck my dick. LP sucks nowadays.

Just because they don't sing mainly hard rock or metal doesn't make them a bad band in any way, they never had a certain genre they are "Hybrid Theory" . They have evolved the sound they create has nothing to do with all the crap commercial songs that are released over time.

They are staying true to the fans they still make lyrics that everybody can attach to. If they kept creating songs of the style HT they would've just be repeating themselves
