I can't say I like the shape, color, or the big logo LOL...but the workmanship on this is quite amazing. Really really nice job man.
Did you ever consider using the 6 button controller in your design? It sucks that I can't really play Street Fighter on my TurboExpress with it's 2 buttons.
Design and colours are personal options, what I wanted and that's what matters! Regards the controller, all the games I have were designed for the normal 2 button controller, and as I used an official controller, that's what was used in this portable. If you make your own system, you can of course make it however you want!
you could've made it smaller, but most of the time when you make a portable, you use a portable ps1 screen, that's why most are similar in size and weight.
If you use a 8-bit microproccessor like on the arduino mega and linked it straight to the screen, you could make the whole thing smaller and use much less battery. But you still did a GREAT job!
Excellent job Bacteria! A vast improvent over the TurboExpress! From what i can see, the psone screen looks loads better, without the anti-glare nice and bright. I admire all your work Bacteria, Keep it up!
Lovely! I blew up my PC-Engine (don't ask), and my Japanese cards won't work on my TurboGrafx, so all I can play is Chase HQ at the moment. Something like this would be IDEAL. Would you ever consider taking commissions?
Thanks guys! Still uploading my PDF files on my site (up in the next minutes) and finished portable thread on ModRetro. Please visit us on: forums (.) ModRetro (.) com - and become a member if you aren't already!!
Very nice - the red case fits the system... like a mini sports car.
Props.

How did you put that "info grafx" logo on there? making my own portable console, would like to know.

Printed onto waterslide decal paper. It was a pain to use, a lot of failure went into getting one that worked nicely on the surface!

Using sticky-backed printer paper is best BTW.

Good work, though I assume you did this for fun considering the turbo express played the same chips

Making portables is for fun. BTW this has a larger screen and more battery life than a TurboExpress, and cheaper too.
