This is the famous interpretation where he masterised the dreadful Scriabin's Etud Op.8/12.

  • In much the same way Price Charles wanted to be Mrs Parker Bowles tampax, I want to be that handkerchief!

  • This is wonderful to have the whole concert with one presumes gone BBC sound. It's fascinating to be able to compare his performances over time.

  • BRAVO!

  • Inspirational! Why wasn't I there :(

  • I didn't even noticed it was 2 hours long untill it was over.

  • what does he put in the piano before he plays "god save the queen"? please tell!

  • @TheCornguy That would be his tissue he cleans himself with, every pianist should have one!

  • @TheCornguy His handkerchief.

  • Is that Prince Charles at 00:00:43? Standing up for the maestro?

  • @mysteristor it sure is :)

  • @mysteristor Of course he is standing up, who is prince Charles beside the great Vladimir Horowitz? :)

  • amazing to see this here :) ~ (havent watched it yet.. buts its horowitz.. :D

  • Thank you for posting this. I've been looking for this Scriabin performance for a while.

Horowitz's alwaysteach us something about music, life and our humanity. This is why he was the best for me. When I hear this Scriabin, I feel like I can hear the bombs going off from WW2 and the tragedy of the war as well.

Buon weekend!!!!! Sei proprio un genio!!!!

  • Magnifico! Grazie mille!
