  • A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

    God hates a coward honey

  • I don't get a meaning off this song

  • I think this is like my most-watched video of the past 3 years :D

  • Fuck me !!!... all I can think seeing Mike singin' is SEX SEX SEX !!!!! Hottest guy EVER ! And greatest singer as well ... Love U Mike <3

  • Patton = Brilliance.

  • my two fav things together...mike patton wearing a respirator...drool drool...

mmm nothing sexier than a man (never mind a genius) in a gasmask or anything that ressembles one

  • 35 people did not play this song loud

  • see ya later Kevin

  • Give me goosebumps! So damn good!

  • i've always been a big mike patton fan. vocal genius..

  • Mike Patton is a genius. Incredible talent, underrated.

  • Mr. bungle, tomahawk and fantomas were amazing to me,but honestly,im not a big faith no more fan. I dont have a problem with it,but it doesent strike me the way the other bands do. So anyone faith no more fans out there, tell me some of your favorite songs, and ill look them up.

  • @cotmvocalist

Check out The Real Thing and Angel Dust albums.

  • @theropingeffect if your telling people to check out FNM then you might as well say anything from the real thing and on, album of the year is brilliant and king for a day fool for a year is heavy as hell.

  • @cotmvocalist Men, you really need to check the album Angel Dust.

  • @cotmvocalist Land of Sunshine, Edge of the World and Caffeine are some pretty good ones.

  • Genius at work!.

  • MASTER OF DISASTER!

  • LOL @ anyone thinking mike Patton suck's even if you tried as hard as you could and narrowed it down there would be no actual reference or merit to your claim lets say for instance i thought this band sucked i would not win in court because i have no facts or evidence or witnesses i would be screwed they just kick all sorts of ass.

  • Gas-Mask-Add-On-Mic-Sound's great.

  • two things

one....i am another one of those, overly obsessed mike patton fan

two.....i have a wick'd gas mask/mask fetish < had this since before i can remember

so this is over load for me....omg, if i could have picked a fantasy come true this is it

how many times can i watch this before its deemed inappropiate... ;-)

  • @toxicpimpsmack well, i think of the 235 000 views at least 5000 of them are me

  • @bennyg93 im with you friend, got a bit of a problem with this vid....masks and patton together. perfections with or without volume best ved on youtube =)

  • @toxicpimpsmack Mike Patton is just genious at everything he does, have you had the pleasure of seeing him live? Greatest moment of my life haha

  • @toxicpimpsmack several times with several different projects. have a good handfull of photos and have two of him and i at seperate occasions. also have two autographs on two other seperate occasions. bit of an obbsession but masks are a fetish and to see mike in a respirator is bliss for me.....lol do you have a fav mp project

  • Awesome

  • You people don't know what your talking about. All of you who say they suck don't even know Mike Patton? Do you?

  • @rckr24 how come the crowd was applauding at the end of the video then? Also, hey yeah they are different and not to everyones taste but they are a lot more innovative than a lot of other bands nowadays at least they aren't afraid to be different, so when you say your ears have been raped that probably means you are too used to listening to more popular music and just not used to listening to this type of music.

  • @War77Machine When I saw them everyone in the crowd, about 12000 people, booed them off the stage. The drummer and the lead singer got into a fight...onstage. I have seen tons of live shows for all sorts of music and these guys were by far the worst of all time! They were so bad that when the headlining band pulled the drummer of tomahawk on stage he was booed of stage after about a minute. Horrible, absolutley horrible!

  • @rckr24 so what! that was like what? 1 occasion out of about 50? Don't make such a big deal about nothing, I am sure the drummer and the lead vocalist are still friends. Tomahawk aren't to everyones musical taste I will admit that, but thats no reason to "bash" them just because they are different.

  • @War77Machine Your missing the point...I am not bashing them because they are different. I am bashing them because they suck!

  • @rckr24 Do you think you could do any better? You are saying that they suck and thats your opinion and you can stick to it for all I care. Enough said.

  • Tomahawk is incredible, as is everything Mike Patton's a part of.

  • That's not a "gas mask", it's called a respirator. Just saying ^^' Thanks for the upload.

  • Man this is some great music. Patton is awesome.

  • BUT youll need a brain

    for valutate patton

never heard about john cage or stockhausen?

    go study jerk

  • Go to School, flunk a test..Yes I have.I dont need to know them to make an opinion that this video in an empty vessel ..But thanks for your lack of non progress and self indulgence xoxo honey on top

  • i think youll need to know them anyway

to preserve to say corny.. "opinion"

    THATS avantgarde!

    i must tell you

  • Agreed avantgarde! Your right

  • But Johnny Cash didn't do this song, now did he?

  • Its a shame I cant stab ever asshole like you in the neck..Give it a break already..New computer age tough guys... Go ahead and do what ya gotta do,your some other city or country

  • I'm just saying. You can't really compare them, they both did different genres of music.

  • @liketodriverealyfast he is just expanding his voice, that its called innovation sucker!

  • That voice changer makes me think of Hannibal Lecter.

    Awesome.

  • why the fuck is bird song not in the relateds??? fuck. how silly is that!

  • Skoolboy77 is right

its a respirator I have one

  • He's GOD !!

    :D

  • YES HE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So I stumble on the Download festival on tv and discover that FNM is playing a reunion and think back and then dig a bit and find this gem. Never knew what Mr Patton was up to. Now know. I lost the loop. Knew the band, not the man. THANKS for posting this. Great stuff. Kickass.

  • Dude, FNM has been touring since June... I think

  • i still don't think there is a USA tour... i would travel quite a distance to c FNM!Bungle, PeepingTom, Tomahawk, shit can't think of the last few, he's stayin busy.

  • With that gasmask/respirator thing he sounds exactly like 'Tommy the cat' from Primus!

  • That voice from Tommy The Cat was Tom Waits' one. Without mask. Try his "Real Gone", amazing stuff (with Claypool, Lalonde and Mr "I-don't-know-your-name-anymore" Drummer on several tracks...)

    Cheers

  • I'd say its just a respirator because if mustard gas gets loose how the fuck is what he is wearing gonna help you xD and plus I got one because I wanted to try it out but I think itsa mike patton trick cuz I failed at it =[

  • Did you rly not see the voice processor cable coming out of the respirator? ;) It's not just "respirator singing", ofc :)

  • Yah, it's probably just a Low pass filter, and a lapel mic.

  • MAESTROS....

  • ta panta ola!

  • No matter how gay, but I am, when this one's on air. Not That gay though... This rock's, indeed!

  • I really dont get why people watch things they claim not to like. Hows fuck off sound!? cause people dont like what you say makes them stupid?? everyone can like what they want, who made you the be all and end all?? Easy, fuck off and comment on what you 'like'

  • @ the video description: It's a respirator, not a gas mask. :-)

  • Охуеть, круто как!

  • is the band called tomahawk or god hates a coward?

  • Its called tomahawk.

  • bitchin

  • tomahawk

  • this band's called Genesis

  • you're hilarious...

  • Tomahawk

  • tomahawk.

  • and you obviously know good music, going to a tool show...

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet :)

  • I wish I was that drumset...

  • Tomahawk > Fantomas.

    Fantomas is still amazing though.

  • I wish I was that microphone...

  • Aw NAW you jus didn't!!!

  • @ohthehorrorofitall oh good LORD my thoughts exactly!

  • brilliant

  • da best mayne

  • What DVD or show is this from, please? The live quality is exceptional.

  • im not sure but i think its from big day out in sydney. do you have this video in better quality?

  • fucking badass,...great stuff..

  • I thought he just held his nose

  • I wondered what he did to sound like that

  • besides sounding awesome this is also just pleasing to watch, patton singing in a weird gas mask

  • Wilde.

  • seriously? lol, this is one of my fav live vids. full stop.

  • kchill seems to be going across Mike Patton videos and complaining... Thanks for giving his videos hits! :D

  • Probably a wolfmother fanboy

  • love this song from tomahawk!

    can't get enough of it

  • it is definately not lip syncing, if you've heard the studio version at all, you will notice that even the first line does not match the studio version, mike patton is to crazy with his voice to lip sync

  • am I the only one that sees the chord hanging from the gas mask?

  • i see it too

  • it's because its not loud enough for the mic to pick up, so they had one on the mask.

  • i tought that was pretty obvious i knew that i just said i noticed it

  • New album please Tomahawk.

  • O.o, I never said that Mr. Patton was lip syncing I'm just saying it would make it easy, he's far too talented for that shit, only bands like MGMT and FOB pull that crap.

  • I just came.

  • true, but this sounds nothing like the studio version and he's singing without the mask as well....

  • Ah loved it. Seen FNM once and Tomahawk twice. What a frontman.

  • patton come to chile.......i hope to play this sick song.

  • ba simi nu-mi plac ...da au putin din the real liders ;)

  • this is a sick song... if you read this dave tom its me nathan see i do like mike paton... "inside joke"

  • Brilliant!

  • This is THE shit.

  • personally, I don't think Mike really needs the gas mask to make that voice. It may strain him a bit, but I'm prettyy sure HE could do it.

  • It would likely be a bad idea, he'd need something to do the muffling sound either way like covering his mouth with a rag. Really straining your voice though is a horrible idea, I've seen really good vocalists blow their throats out doing that. When I was doing vocal lessons I remember the big stresser was that singing should NOT take effort, it should be as natural as the tone changes we make while talking...and for someone like this to blow his voice would be a tragedy

  • All true, but Patton did do the voice of the Darkness in that video game, and supposedly he did that without modifications.

Of course, that's different from singing live, so you are right. It would SUCK if he lost his voice.

  • He's pretty rough on his voice as is. I've always liked the studio, it's like having a blank easel and paints, you can work and work at it to get it right and even take little bits of the song and record them separately. Playing live is TOTALLY different, it's great of course playing and having everyone into it, but it's all on the go, it's like giving a painter a brush and saying "paint one of your early pieces right now in front of 100 people"

  • I don't think your painting metaphor applies to music. Music is meant to be performed in front of many people. Paintings are meant to stay in a museum or house with other paintings and works of art. Patton is obviously a perfectionist when it comes to his studio recordings, but I'm sure he prefers getting the chance to be spontaneous and entertain people live.

  • I don't know if I'd really think of art in general as "being" for any one specific thing. Art can be philosophical, measured, spontaneous, light-hearted and so on. Music recorded is "meant" to be art in static form...music performed live is art in dynamic form. Both have their place, I find people tend to enjoy one a little more than the other, just depends which.

  • Oh no I wasn't speaking absolutely in a sense that studio music can't be enjoyed. I'm saying that you haven't actually heard a band until you've heard them live. You don't really understand the artist until you actually see them doing their thing. You can't perform art the way you can perform music. That's why I didn't dig your shitty pseudo-intellectual metaphor, cockboy.

  • Again, really depends on the band, what you're looking to get out of it and so forth. As a side, you are aware music IS an art form right? So is dance (which can also be performed spontaneously), martial arts and countless other things...saying "you can't perform art the way you can perform music" (as fallacious a line that is) is saying "you can't perform art in the way you can perform...other art..."

  • I don't think we're even talking about the same thing anymore. I'm saying that painting isn't something you go out and watch someone do. But you WOULD go see a band perform. You can't PERFORM a painting. Some music isn't meant to be performed live, for an example most electronic music. But you absolutely have to admit, music means a lot more when experienced live, in concert. Does that make sense?

  • You're distinguishing between "performance art" and simple aesthetic art...this is why it depends so much on the intent of the artist...a perfect example would be the classic "street artist"...that IS visual art as placed in the context of performance art. It's the same with music, it's simply art...live music is performance art, a recording isn't...there's definitely an energy live, but there's quite an energy in recording too...both have their own equal artistic value in my eyes.

  • This conversation might have started off sensibly but quickly deteriorated into something unbelievably stupid.

  • I would kill to see a video of Patton record voices for either the Darkness or Left 4 Dead. He's a versatile, talented motherfucker !

  • Same here :)

I hope a sequel to the Darkness is made.

  • FUUUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • BEA U TIFUL !! !!

  • Patton is a musical genius!

  • Only Patton could make the idea of wanting to "make a meal of your asshole" sound cool.

  • he would be wearing a police suit wouldnt he. mike patton and police go hand in hand. take from that what you will, but im sure you all know what i am saying

  • this is awesome!

i thought that patton sucked after faith no more with and all that stuff, but this one rocks!

  • my absolute favorite Tomahawk song. Badass!!! I always wondered how he got that vocal effect....

  • I'd guess a condenser mic on that respirator. It's fucking wicked huh?

  • rox

  • Sic

  • hahahahah soooooooo amazing....

  • MIke Patton FTW!

  • weon locoo....buenisimo....genio

  • dame mas...can't get enough of this sound

  • always blows me away!

  • More more more more!!! Mike Patton is a genius. I was lucky enough to see Mr. Bungle live once. Awesome!

  • yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how could we want any more? how about the band all dressed in cops' uniforms!

  • Best song ever about a serial killer who won't stop killing.

  • Holy shit.

  • I'm seeing Fantomas this weekend!

  • This song is so fucking awesome.

  • yeah i am with dude below me..... fuckin kickass

  • yea I wish the rest of the record was this good.

  • It is :D

  • G-E-N-I-U-S. I don't think there are other words to describe this.

  • Haha, better hope Mike doesn't read that!

  • that does remind me of crack hitler

  • Reminds me of what he did vocally on "Crack Hitler" on FNM Angel Dust

  • that was fucking rad

  • cooool

  • Nice, Mike Patton and Tomahawk and Fantomas are awsome.

  • Whao... the music kind of has a Tool meets Primus kind of vibe with Patton's own unique touch.

    I dig it.

  • this is seriously better than on the record...

  • woody wood pecker in the house

  • was that really live, or like a music video type thing?

  • It was live at a tv-station :)

  • I just got like twenty boners.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • A m A z I n G !!!!!!!! the best of the best
