Smh at all yah arguing about cities you ain't been to, I give props to both coast but NYC is my city and I rep it all day, east coast goes in even Pac was from there and he never had shit against NYC he said he only had problems with Bad Boy Ent. So stop with the shit...
@MMA94NYC he was from new york but grew up in the bay so u will act like were u was raised not born he lived in the bay marine city he even lived in decatur ga ...la an he came up alot of errwere so new york cant take that credit
Why is every one taking about who's more gangsta and all this shit, truth is most rappers are actually well educated. The hardcore niggas stayed on the streets cause they don't know anything better to do
Fuck with the west bitches. Y'all with ur tiny ass new york state and shit what u proud of mofuckers calis all all better. The whole coast. Fuck around
@jayd4ever but you didnt mention when they came to ny to shoot the video'they shot that shit up,and they were shooting downtown ny at that,so imaging if they came to the hood with that shit, new york will always be top dog niggas trying to get where we already been, any where in the world ny ring bells washington d.c is da capitol of america but ny is da capitol of da world soget it right
@tanysozi la is more talked about than ny la has the enternaiment and the money ny has horrible weather and high poor rate yeah they may have shot up but they still did the video does it matter they were after pac and never got him but when pac was in ny for everybody to come at him no one did shit ny was scared of pac after that prodigy even said people jay z were scared of the deathrow niggas, prodigy was scared, big was quite and nas never wanted to beef with pac
@jayd4ever Yo homie be easy nigga u cant be serious now way niggas was scared of pac,on sum real shit im from ny i know alot of stories that never hit the main stream and believe me pac wasn't gangster like yall think'trust me and you know damn well ny is more popular than L.A argueing with a fool only makes 2 fools
@tanysozi LA is where everybody comes ny is just a city like everyother city and you claim know alot of stories that never hit the mainstream like what private message me?
Wait, you mean people actually thought Pac was gangsta? ha ha. Ya must of not seen dude at 16 years old and all that. Dude feminine as idk what Hes one of them dudes waits to hes 23 yrs old to start actin gangsta...dont forget hes also an actor. Got ya fooled.
@Nyclassic2006 i fucks wit you thats all im saying niggas be sucking pac, i really think niggas are just attracted to the nigga real shit he wasn't lyrical either, what in the hell was he saying so hot just think about it,the nigga sounded oldschool even when he first came out and not to mention the nigga did ballet'hes a dancer dogg
@tanysozi wat does lyrics have any thing to do with it if u aint saying shit...pac said shit that touched the world fuck lyrics he took u threw the hard times lyrics are cool but wat are they if ur lyrics dont touch the masses
@tanysozi but wen mobb deep an all them nyc niggaz did la la...they didnt even go to la so whos top dogg nyc niggaz die errday n my city decatur ga cuz they think cuz alot o faggots moving down here they think we soft so they get wet the fuck up
I wanna know why everyone and their mom thinks they can just go around youtube videos like this and sit there and spit out all this personal info about artists its just ridiculous do you REALLY think ANYBODY not retarded believes tht somebody who knows tht much about a rappers life is guna be stupid enough to post it on a website with millions of viewers. Why wud someone as high up as you knowledgable assholes even use this website. Just stop with the lies. God dammit
@Docmananoff dude save the bullshit. Ur a pahtological liar. We've all met a hundred people like u who know everything about tupacs death and all ur fake research and stuff bro just gtf outta here with that. Ur ridiculous. U east coast mofos are rele some dramatic ass people.
@wonkxete - nah the original - and in many ways best battle was BDP versus The Juice Crew. That shows how stupid the "East vs. West" thing was. I mean nobody made it a "Bronx versus Queens" war because those rappers were going at each other (though I do remember a Queens dude getting robbed on Fordham Rd. and Webster Ave. back around that time). That battle ended kind of early though because Scott La Rock got killed in unrelated incident.
n gang life aint cute it aint sweet it aint pretty but now tht has even went commerical all u gotta have now is tha money n a record deal n u can go to niggas hoods n get passes cuz u buyn yo way thru just ask lil wayne n waka cuz they was n sum of calis most grimiest du-low hoods how they got out money money n mo money n threw prolly a couple niggas sum record deals real talk so nah hip hop now im very dissappointed n i miss biggie smalls big pun nas tha old jay-z ja rule tha old snoop n more
like jay-z said u from an era where snitchn is tha shit n real men know tht aint tha shit lol n these tight jean wearing piercing tha side of yo face type guys wearing blue contacts thts sum funny shit . then niggas puttn tattoos all over they face b straight homos posing as gangmembers wow where i cum from tattoos were murals of a mans hood signs of struggle strength fear pain love gang love n just as l.a. crip walkn went commercial so has tattoos these out of twn folks make gang like cute
i would say most of tha trouble is suges fault coming from tha side of twn he grew up n theres niggas over there tht make suge look like a saint lol n i aint bull shittn but it takes to n i believe folks from both sides playd parts wether they knew it or not wether they wanted all this to happen.. n nah i dnt listen to new rap im not narrow minded but if i get to hearing a clown on ths mike i go deaf cuz all tht make it rain trick bitch drop to tha flow i just hate tht
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - of course... and that's the rap world... you got a lot of street dudes hanging on the outside. I remember Big L's brother admitting it was his own beef why Big L died. Scott La Rock was innocent... Freaky Tah from the Lost Boyz died for something he didn't do. Still don't know why Jam Master Jay died.. (let alone Stretch)... It's a waste. Suge made it "commercial" between Death Row and Bad Boy. I guess he thought it was funny til his man "Big Jake" died in ATL.
They just wanted to play the innocient role to look good for the camera and make Pac and Suge look like bullies when in reality they were just as guilty
It wasn't Suge's fault entirely. Bad Boy played a key role in this beef too. Like Diddy putting bounty on Death Row niggas chains in crip Neighborhoods, Biggie calling for the Dogg pound trailer to get shot up and Puff talking that shit on tapes as well.
@Eric41450 - of course it wasn't all Suge's fault - but he was in instigator. Case in point: Suge blamed Puff when his man Big Jake from the Piru's was killed in ATL. Puff wasn't that rich yet back in '95... and Puff ain't "street" - so he couldn't control the dudes who was there. Suge saw exactly who did it.. nobody was out there with a mask... but instead he wanted to talk sideways to the media and "dry snitch". Reality is - if Suge wasn't instigating that wouldn't have happened.
wit tha exceptions of lupe kanye n common n a few others i dnt know u but u dnt sound like tha type to listen to tha soulja boys n tha flakas n many others wit there senseless ignorant retarded rap n witout tha east there would b no ti jeezys gucci n many other foolish rappers im goin on 30 this year so i know all about n miss tha bad boy deathrow errors cuz since then rap has been n turmoil n as nas said it hip hop is dead n ima westcoast dude n i agreem wit nas 1,000 %
n im not disagreeing witu kurupt was not dissing new york there was never no reason to nor then not now not ever it was just mis-communication between both coast which came from a few grimey folks on both sides n kind hearted gud folks like big n pac were tha fall guys but tha california version of new york new york was a taste of wat tha westcoast had to offer to hip-hop theres all kinds of versions of hip-hop other than tha east n west but it aint tha same as tha east n west.
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - the whole east/west thing was stupid... and I mostly blame Suge Knight for it. The reality is plenty of west coast rappers got play in NY. Real talk - I wouldn't be surprised if the dudes who shot at the trailer during this video shoot probably all had "The Chronic" album. In the same way the dudes that robbed Marbury probably were glad he came "home" to the Knicks. That's the streets though - they'll eat your food. I hear you - I don't even listen to new rap!
metaphors is a great excellent tool tht eastcoast rappers use big used em puff used em nas uses em most eastcoast rappers uses em wat i mean is wen u use words to refer to another person whether there refering to other rappers folks on tha street or even create a person like out of a movie script n which tha new york artist have created n i would say is quite clever on tha other hand westcoast artist just cum out n say. eastcoast rap is tha only other rap i acknowledge other than tha west
n all my family is from cali so i know all bout tha pirus suge n much more but pac came to oakland cali as a teenager same as kurupt same as xzibit but at tha end of tha day til tha day he died he repped cali not b more n not new york oh n even master p him n his family movd to sacramento cali when he was a kid n got all his game from cali he just decided to rep new orleans
n yes ive heard tha original version of new york new york but u hav to admit tht weak plain ass reply la la was garbage n wit all those so calld metaphors tha east push out at times to us westcoast ppl feels like dry snicthn
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - actually I do think the CNN - LALA was whack... but I also know that Kurupt never dissed anyone or NY in the song. It was a play on the original Grandmaster Flash... the video only became a diss because they got shot at. Not sure what you mean about "dry snitching"... but that's what most rappers do. Real street dudes don't talk about what they would or gonna do... 50 Cent made that mistake of mentioning street dudes in his music before he got famous and got 9 shots.
i totally agree witu 100% he also said n a verse of his many songs he said born n tha east but raised n 2 a g on tha west n tha best mc s r from tha eastcoast new york philly n so on thts where hip hop started we westcoast ppl dnt n will not contend wit tht but!!! tha only place i can think of outside of new york music i would play is tha westcoast not cuz im from tha west but bcuz our music is street n simple not all tht dancing n talkn bout wat we got n tryna look hard n tha club lol
We all love this song period but Capone and Norega came with La La so I love both because it was like a battle rap too me but hi time change much respect for the people who not a follower be a leader Biggie and Tupac died over some bullshit my dudes look how time change and West coast rappers making music with East coast rappers 50 cent and snoop Game and Jim Jones its not where you from its the realness in you
@Dadonwestside niggas was in downtown Manhattan not in the hood my dude poilce and security around them so how can u even speak on that. Its not about east coast or west coast no more nigga it all was stupid and 2 greatest rappers of all time died over nothing so what u saying my dude we go hard over here too but when we died this shit doesnt even matter
@Dadonwestside - you don't know what you are talking about... they shot at and called the FOI and NYPD for protection... that's why they were in Times Sq. Btw - yes - 12 year olds in NY already know how to flow... and learn about street life. You grow up faster in the city that never sleeps. Btw - why do you think his first stage name was "MC New York"??
@Amidat I know they got protection but none of them east coast niggas did sht and yeah Tupac liked new york but he had that west coast thug mentally and when them east coast niggas set him up he was like fuck it. i seen alot of 12 yr old rappers in nyc and cant flow yet and talk alot of shit like they been through shit already just like that brooklyn rapper on the fuckin xfaxtor
@Dadonwestside Tupac was fucking with some snakes ass niggas biggie didnt det him up there are snakes all over the world not just new york How come we got mad west coast rapper fucking with east coast rappers now hmmmmm 50 cent snoop Dre and More niggas I'm from the dirty south and we love west coast music and they vibe too show respect and pay respect to the game instead of dissin the game Young Buck
@Dadonwestside - are you serious??? why do you think they had protection??? There was a reason for it. I guess you just don't get it... he named himself MC New York before he was 2pac.
@Amidat why would they go to new york without protection, i was tryna say the east coast niggas werent successful with tryna stop them from shootin and i heard a drive by shooting was targeted at snoop but it all flopped but if it was on the west, somebody would of gotten hurt real talk
@Dadonwestside - you said if it happened on the west somebody would have got hurt? No NY dudes would have tried to do a video on the sneak in LA.... because they would get laughed at when they got back to NY. NY rappers were always going to LA and LA rappers were always going to NY.... so I don't know what you talking about. The reason they got shot at was because they tried to do some sneak video. People in NY actually liked Dogg Pound... NY'ers just don't like frontin'.
@Amidat I know im just saying biggie warned NY that they were gonna shoot a video in NY so they could stop it but they flopped but in LA, gangs are kinda laidback and do what there wanna do but if they had to do it, trust me someone would of died or gotten badly hurt.
@Dadonwestside - sorry - but you're wrong. for one thing - dudes in the street in NY don't take orders from rappers.... and nobody in LA would stop a video being filmed that was protected by the police.
wish they would of shot this walking threw fucked up parts of newyork.. would love to see how it would of played out.. seems like they was sayn all that shit from a safe distance.. good track tho
pac said out his own mouth he reppn cali n period oh sumbody wana say im lyin look up deathrow records n out his motuh he said it not me pac got all his game n talent from oakland la cali period yea he was born n tha east n so was kurupt who ate dem eastcoast niggas
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - he only said it after he got shot...and Suge bailed him out. Then he really became like Machiavelli. He was always in NY partying (how he got locked up) and doing collabs with NY rappers (like when he got shot). Even most of the movies he did were here - Juice - Above the Rim - Bullet. Messing with Suge is what got him killed... and Suge only bailed him out to make money off him and get back at NY bc a NY dude popped his man a year before the Pac incident went down.
@Amidat damn you dont know what ur talking about. pac claimed cali way before he got shot. Suge knight was his closest friend and saved his life. i hate when people talk shit about suge he needs respect.
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - yeah Pac claimed Oakland - but he always said he was a NY'r at heart... and it showed. Suge was his closest friend??? wow - what planet do you live on? Suge was a user - plain and simple.
@Amidat Agree with the NY thing. Yeah, Suge was so close to him that he saved his life in 1996, the supposed murder. Have you ever heard "Loyal to the Game"? he says it himself.
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - I got you - but you can't trust anything that comes out of Suge's mouth. Machiavelli is the doctrine they started going by. If you know that philosopher - he was big on using deception to get power.
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - nah i'm not mis-informed. Suge is just as much a snake as Puffy. well you should read about Machiavelli the philosopher. A lot of politicians follow his mantra... and Pac you remember started to call himself by that name. There is nothing trustworthy about Suge... there is too much smoke around him for their not to be fire.
@Amidat yeah, on The 7 day theory. you were misinformed about suge not being 2pacs friend. Its mest up that alot of things have happened to him, the lose of death row, his house. keep in mind that people think bad of him because he saved 2pac, thats the price he had to pay. keep that in mind at least pac isn't in hell
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - Suge was not his friend... he was a business associate. None of us are God - so none of knows where any dead person is... Do you consider someone a friend that you never met - but bails you out of prison - just so you can make records for them???
@Amidat Sure i consider him as a friend, bails me out in return sell records for him then saves me from hell, and then loses so much for helping me out? . And you still think bad of him? Come on bro.
@KilluminatiSoldier45 Suge Knight was an opportunist. Tupac was an investment for him. Suge manipulated the situation to make money off the Beef because he knew that Tupac was a loud mouthed Hot head.
@Docmananoff 2pac mentioned in his last interview all the rappers on his team and 98% of them were West Coast artist. Be it Spice1, Bone thugs, Snoop, DPG etc.
@BeefDurka Duh!, BTNH put Cleveland on the map but got their record deal from Eazy E when they went to LA. Since their style has a southern cali feel to it I call them that. For example, Eminem is from Detroit but his style has a NYC flavor, same with Common but he's from Chi-town.
@Docmananoff I dunno if its tru but from Prodigy's new book "My infamous life" he mentioned that E money bags (or sum1 else i think) told him that da whole East coast/west coast-Tupac/Biggie beef waz all made 2 make money off of. Pac lied bout da robbery, He never knew who really robbed him, he used that robbery that happened in Manhattan & blamed Biggie, puffy & da whole bad boy staff about it. including Nas & Jay-z & Mobb deep cuz they waz ridin wit Biggie.
@HipHopHead187 I know he blamed the Bad Boy staff falsely. I read the jail article back when it came out in VIBE when he said that Biggie tried to warn him about dealing with shady individuals and hung up on him when he asked too many questions. Big had a mother and daughter in NY and said all he could safely say to try to warn Tupac, Pac then blamed Biggie for being involved in the plot.
@Amidat i agree witu 100% me n tha rest of cali folks know suge only bailed him out due to his man gettn popped n suge has only done anything n everything for his own personal gain i will say it is very unfourtunate as intelligent n kind hearted pac was he lost his life but tha creator had greater plans for him n yes all his movies r eastcoast bound but his heart was n cali he was raised there as a teenager to live n die n la
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - Pac spent the majority of his life on the east coast (NY and Baltimore) - so he wasn't "raised in Cali" - he just went there to live. Rap is entertainment. The street is the street. Pac was hanging around grimy street dudes in NY and that's what got him shot (they thought he was too flashy). In Cali was messing with Suge and the Pirus (I got fam in Cali so I know all about it) and got caught up.... should be a lesson to young dudes..make money - stay off the street.
@Amidat no 2pac started sellin drugs in cali oakland, he said it himself he wasnt a thug in NY maybe baltimore, he said no disrepect to Ny but i learnt the game in cali thats where he started drug dealin
@Dadonwestside - Pac wasn't any serious drug dealer... a real hustler wouldn't go on tour as a dancer with digital underground. and I'm talking about rap... not streets. But he left Harlem at 12... most 12 year olds knew all about the street (if they were allowed outside) by that age.... you grow up fast in NY. Was he confused when he first called himself "MC New York"???
@Amidat Pac said it him self he wasnt good at drug dealer but he still done it but atleast he had a brain to care bout other black people and when 2pac called himself MC NEW YORK, he hasnt even been to cali. 2pac was poor so he had to do something to get somewhere like roadie, drug dealin so if you wanna start questioning me go read the real facts.
@Dadonwestside - I know Pac's story well - so don't get mad. What does it have to do with Biggie?? But no - he wasn't a "drug dealer" either even though he had a little hustle. College students even hustle a little to pay tuition.. Biggie was not strange in NY because he went to catholic school and dropped out. NYC is "home of the hustlers" half the dudes dibbled and dabbled in the street - but that doesn't make them a "drug dealer". A "drug dealer" is someone who does nothing else.
@Dadonwestside - u proved my point - he was thinking of rap before he went to Cali. Btw -Harlem was the drug capital of America back then. In NYC - at 12 we already had to know how to fight and carry brass knuckles or a razor. u could sit on your stoop and know all of what the hustlers were doing. "Stick up kids" started their "career" at 13. Even if Pac wasn't allowed outside - you forget the reason his mother left NY was because his step father and aunt were out here heisting banks.
@Amidat I hate people who are not poor bur still decide to drug deal like biggie he wasnt poor, he had education and shit but never took because he thought drug dealing was cool and he wanted to be a gangster.
@Dadonwestside - you made mention you don't like rappers who were not poor or who had an education who got involved in the street.... so what do you think of Eazy-E who became a drug dealer while living in a two parent household where they both worked? Or of Suge Knight who actually even went to college and played football professionally? I didn't see you mention them...
@Amidat HAHA suge knight aint a fuckin rapper u mug face and so what if you lived in two different houses, that dont mean your rich or having a good life
@Dadonwestside - Yet Suge became a pro footballer and went to college on scholarship... and though he's not a rapper - he had all the west coast rappers SHOOK and was giving them orders. So how does that work?? My fam in Cali told me Eazy E really was a gang member... but it is also reality is he grew up in a 2 parent household with stable jobs. You're a plain hypocrite for bringing up BIG going to Catholic school. "Mug face"? Did you think of that all by yourself?? Clown!
@Amidat last thing suge is from 1 of tha most notorius feared gangs n southern cali n wit funds from suge make them n sum ways untouchable i dnt a fucc bout dem clowns but tha fact remains pac hung out wit sum killas tht was not n his best interest n all folks know n los angeles if u hang wit gangmembers most likely trouble follows n pac was rasised n oakland california where gangs arent as brutal as la gangs cuz we lovd pac as we do snoop n cube but its always gone b sum haters
And Tupac lived in Ny til he was 12...There aint no way in this world he didnt pick up on the way of life over here. He was loud, and cocky just like the rest of us. 12 years is a lil old. His first name was mc new york and he performed at the apollo, Nigga i will say fuck new york too i dont give a fuck where u from nigga, its where u at.
@jayd4ever - who ever underrated Kurupt?? Everyone I know in NY gave him respect lyrically... When you check it - he still has a Philly flow... and that's why the other two didn't rhyme on this.
@josephkeogh99 - yeah he said it... because he had to do the bidding of the guy who bailed him out and was paying his bills... Suge Knight. He started to be called "Makaveli" because he studied Machiavelli in jail in NY. Machiavelli was a philosopher/politician who said a person should do whatever then have to do to get power... especially using the art of lying and propaganda. Why people don't get it I don't know. I guess that's why politicians are so successful.
I love Uncle Snoop and hip hop in general, but they did get into some shit I remember back in the day over this video. They tried to shoot a scene to this video in Red Hook Brooklyn. ( Wild move ) lol. They got they trailers Shot up before they got to shoot scenes in Brooklyn. So they only did the Time Square scenes. Google it. But yo i fuck wit da west. I love philly too lol any city that hate my city i love it haha. DOnt give a f*ck B
@NewYorkRebel187 NY thugs thinking they hard cus they let a couple of shots off thru the trailer doors at night LOL biggie got killed in LA and u never heard a LA cat bragging about that. real thugs dont shoot and brag.
@nukeusa911x2 - nah Dogg Pound and Snoop had protection from the NOI and the NYPD once their trailor got shot up... and it wasn't at night. Biggie (though it was kind of foolish) was out there hanging out for weeks with no protection. And it was a professional hit that killed him... not street thugs... so street thugs couldn't brag... yet I see plenty of fools on here doing just that.
@nukeusa911x2 Dog i aint shoot em, wat is you on, Brag?.. i said i fuck wit da west. I was just stating facts cuz it happened in the hood. What sense would it make for me to hate if i chose to watch this video. Nobody cares fam. Read my comment over who is braggin. I dont give a fuck if u from ny or not. Just cuz niggaz from my city dont mean i fuck wit em. I just love hip hop and Biggie got hit on for nothin. But i could see once again niggaz on the net like to talk, that all.
@gameover896 - how is it the best weather when you got smog?? you got mudslides and droughts and wildfires... so the weather aint all that great. I wouldn't trade your sunshine for smog and lack of water. Btw - they didn't really kick over any buildings. That's a "Hollywood" stunt - done in a studio with a "green screen" and "computer editing". You didn't really think they were superheroes and could actually do that did you?
@jayd4ever fuk u pussy..anybody can go to the safest part of a city n make a lame song..lol they ain't wear no blue no la shyt cuz they ain't stupid n fuk flying to la ...datz a mexican town lol
definitely a moment in hip hop...when i look at the video today, its like wow these niggas really shited on new york..lol...and im a jersey cat who even took offense to it because at the time i felt like they were shitting on the whole east coast.. cali niggas really riding around time squares hittin switches in old school chevys and kicking down buildings n shit lol, gotta give snoop and his crew props on that....this the era when hip hop was at a all great...RIP to this era....
I can't believe no one is talking about the lyricism in this song it's of the highest caliber- nothing better man except for lupe fiasco but anyone tell me a more lyrical song than this?
@jayd4ever game? lol you lost your damn mind? 50 cent wrote like 5 songs for him in his early album and lupe ways better than the game. And in this vid, snoop and the dogs were shot at
@bobsyashufflinguncle Not sure about the Lupe Fiasco part, but you're right...lyrics are tight on this track! When everyone was shitting on West Coast rappers for their lyrical skills, Korupt brought it.
Bx, Manhattan, B'more, then 2 Oakland n eventually ventured bak East n bak West. N ol boy never had a problem w/the East until lil ni99az @ the time like Mobb Deep, chino xl, etc. wz throwin sideways disses thinkin he wouldnt gna chek sh*t. Biggie actin like a Don n wouldnt givin Pac his due for lettin him blowup in Pac's own shows. Why wouldnt he feel slighted ?
Seriously though.. R u muhfkaz serious about this sh*t ya'll spillin on here ? Tryna put on blast the dead, n still on this east/west bullsh*t? Really though u "ig'nant" fukz, get the fk over urselves n move the fk on. Bt real spit though, Pac luv'd the East Koast n had hella luv 4 the West as well cuz he came up on both sides.
@Ech33zy True indeed. Pac lived in Harlem till he was about 13 or so. That may not seem like long, but remember that he died at only 25. That is a huge part of a short life!
Funny how alot of u internet gangstas and thugz talk shit u have no idea about.
turn off boyz-n-the-hood & colors and go get your education and be somebody instead of trying to be a follower.
i grew up in gang land long beach cali, and never claim a set. i seen to many wannabe's and real dudes die over stupid shit that wasn't even there's. claiming l.a. or n.y. is harder when the cities don't give a shit about your black ass
@THECHAPLIN - I respect a dude like you who wasn't a follower of what you saw around you. Funny enough - my uncle's wife grew up in Compton on Belhaven... she moved to Long Beach for school in the 80's and she like it... til she said all the thugs she was trying to get away from moved down there... lol. She sure got her education though... and so do her kids now.
WESTCOAST B TALKIN LIK WE DONT B POPPIN DEM THANGZ OFF..YA NIGAZ MUST THINK WE IN LALA LAND.. O I FORGOT YOUR IN LALA LAND...HOPE DA MEXICANS DONT EAT U...NY/DC/BMORE/NJ/PHILLY..STAND UP EASTCOAST ALL DAY
@therichonez - yeah they let the "Philly" dude do an east coast style rap to say they are "down by law".... they don't even know the history of the song that was sampled from. They only did the stupid "kicking over buildings" after they got shot at... this wasn't a diss song... they tried to make it a diss video after... but it was "hollywood style" - not gangster.
Smh at all yah arguing about cities you ain't been to, I give props to both coast but NYC is my city and I rep it all day, east coast goes in even Pac was from there and he never had shit against NYC he said he only had problems with Bad Boy Ent. So stop with the shit...

wonkxete 3 weeks ago
@wonkxete - nah the original - and in many ways best battle was BDP versus The Juice Crew. That shows how stupid the "East vs. West" thing was. I mean nobody made it a "Bronx versus Queens" war because those rappers were going at each other (though I do remember a Queens dude getting robbed on Fordham Rd. and Webster Ave. back around that time). That battle ended kind of early though because Scott La Rock got killed in unrelated incident.

MrSmoothoperator1982 3 weeks ago
i would say most of tha trouble is suges fault coming from tha side of twn he grew up n theres niggas over there tht make suge look like a saint lol n i aint bull shittn but it takes to n i believe folks from both sides playd parts wether they knew it or not wether they wanted all this to happen.. n nah i dnt listen to new rap im not narrow minded but if i get to hearing a clown on ths mike i go deaf cuz all tht make it rain trick bitch drop to tha flow i just hate tht
MrSmoothoperator1982 3 weeks ago
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - of course... and that's the rap world... you got a lot of street dudes hanging on the outside. I remember Big L's brother admitting it was his own beef why Big L died. Scott La Rock was innocent... Freaky Tah from the Lost Boyz died for something he didn't do. Still don't know why Jam Master Jay died.. (let alone Stretch)... It's a waste. Suge made it "commercial" between Death Row and Bad Boy. I guess he thought it was funny til his man "Big Jake" died in ATL.
Amidat 2 weeks ago
They just wanted to play the innocient role to look good for the camera and make Pac and Suge look like bullies when in reality they were just as guilty
Eric41450 3 weeks ago
It wasn't Suge's fault entirely. Bad Boy played a key role in this beef too. Like Diddy putting bounty on Death Row niggas chains in crip Neighborhoods, Biggie calling for the Dogg pound trailer to get shot up and Puff talking that shit on tapes as well.
Eric41450 3 weeks ago
@Eric41450 - of course it wasn't all Suge's fault - but he was in instigator. Case in point: Suge blamed Puff when his man Big Jake from the Piru's was killed in ATL. Puff wasn't that rich yet back in '95... and Puff ain't "street" - so he couldn't control the dudes who was there. Suge saw exactly who did it.. nobody was out there with a mask... but instead he wanted to talk sideways to the media and "dry snitch". Reality is - if Suge wasn't instigating that wouldn't have happened.

n im not disagreeing witu kurupt was not dissing new york there was never no reason to nor then not now not ever it was just mis-communication between both coast which came from a few grimey folks on both sides n kind hearted gud folks like big n pac were tha fall guys but tha california version of new york new york was a taste of wat tha westcoast had to offer to hip-hop theres all kinds of versions of hip-hop other than tha east n west but it aint tha same as tha east n west.
MrSmoothoperator1982 3 weeks ago

MrSmoothoperator1982 3 weeks ago
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - actually I do think the CNN - LALA was whack... but I also know that Kurupt never dissed anyone or NY in the song. It was a play on the original Grandmaster Flash... the video only became a diss because they got shot at. Not sure what you mean about "dry snitching"... but that's what most rappers do. Real street dudes don't talk about what they would or gonna do... 50 Cent made that mistake of mentioning street dudes in his music before he got famous and got 9 shots.
Amidat 3 weeks ago

Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat why would they go to new york without protection, i was tryna say the east coast niggas werent successful with tryna stop them from shootin and i heard a drive by shooting was targeted at snoop but it all flopped but if it was on the west, somebody would of gotten hurt real talk
Dadonwestside 1 month ago
@Dadonwestside - you said if it happened on the west somebody would have got hurt? No NY dudes would have tried to do a video on the sneak in LA.... because they would get laughed at when they got back to NY. NY rappers were always going to LA and LA rappers were always going to NY.... so I don't know what you talking about. The reason they got shot at was because they tried to do some sneak video. People in NY actually liked Dogg Pound... NY'ers just don't like frontin'.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat I know im just saying biggie warned NY that they were gonna shoot a video in NY so they could stop it but they flopped but in LA, gangs are kinda laidback and do what there wanna do but if they had to do it, trust me someone would of died or gotten badly hurt.
Dadonwestside 4 weeks ago
@Dadonwestside - sorry - but you're wrong. for one thing - dudes in the street in NY don't take orders from rappers.... and nobody in LA would stop a video being filmed that was protected by the police.

Kurupts verse in an All-Time-Top-10-Verse-In-The-History-Of-Hip-Hop
After Ras Kass on Nature of the threat maybe the best verse of the West.
Type in THE DOGG POUND NEW YORK LYRICS and tel me Kurupts 1st verse didn't blew your mind!

MrSmoothoperator1982 1 month ago in playlist Death Row Records Part 1
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - he only said it after he got shot...and Suge bailed him out. Then he really became like Machiavelli. He was always in NY partying (how he got locked up) and doing collabs with NY rappers (like when he got shot). Even most of the movies he did were here - Juice - Above the Rim - Bullet. Messing with Suge is what got him killed... and Suge only bailed him out to make money off him and get back at NY bc a NY dude popped his man a year before the Pac incident went down.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat damn you dont know what ur talking about. pac claimed cali way before he got shot. Suge knight was his closest friend and saved his life. i hate when people talk shit about suge he needs respect.
KilluminatiSoldier45 1 month ago
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - yeah Pac claimed Oakland - but he always said he was a NY'r at heart... and it showed. Suge was his closest friend??? wow - what planet do you live on? Suge was a user - plain and simple.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat Agree with the NY thing. Yeah, Suge was so close to him that he saved his life in 1996, the supposed murder. Have you ever heard "Loyal to the Game"? he says it himself.
KilluminatiSoldier45 1 month ago
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - I got you - but you can't trust anything that comes out of Suge's mouth. Machiavelli is the doctrine they started going by. If you know that philosopher - he was big on using deception to get power.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat Its cool you were misinformed. I think Machiavelli wrote a book about a prince or something, don't know much about him.
KilluminatiSoldier45 1 month ago
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - nah i'm not mis-informed. Suge is just as much a snake as Puffy. well you should read about Machiavelli the philosopher. A lot of politicians follow his mantra... and Pac you remember started to call himself by that name. There is nothing trustworthy about Suge... there is too much smoke around him for their not to be fire.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat yeah, on The 7 day theory. you were misinformed about suge not being 2pacs friend. Its mest up that alot of things have happened to him, the lose of death row, his house. keep in mind that people think bad of him because he saved 2pac, thats the price he had to pay. keep that in mind at least pac isn't in hell
KilluminatiSoldier45 1 month ago
@KilluminatiSoldier45 - Suge was not his friend... he was a business associate. None of us are God - so none of knows where any dead person is... Do you consider someone a friend that you never met - but bails you out of prison - just so you can make records for them???
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat Sure i consider him as a friend, bails me out in return sell records for him then saves me from hell, and then loses so much for helping me out? . And you still think bad of him? Come on bro.

@BeefDurka Duh!, BTNH put Cleveland on the map but got their record deal from Eazy E when they went to LA. Since their style has a southern cali feel to it I call them that. For example, Eminem is from Detroit but his style has a NYC flavor, same with Common but he's from Chi-town.
daijinzraleighpark 2 weeks ago
@Docmananoff I dunno if its tru but from Prodigy's new book "My infamous life" he mentioned that E money bags (or sum1 else i think) told him that da whole East coast/west coast-Tupac/Biggie beef waz all made 2 make money off of. Pac lied bout da robbery, He never knew who really robbed him, he used that robbery that happened in Manhattan & blamed Biggie, puffy & da whole bad boy staff about it. including Nas & Jay-z & Mobb deep cuz they waz ridin wit Biggie.
HipHopHead187 3 weeks ago
@HipHopHead187 I know he blamed the Bad Boy staff falsely. I read the jail article back when it came out in VIBE when he said that Biggie tried to warn him about dealing with shady individuals and hung up on him when he asked too many questions. Big had a mother and daughter in NY and said all he could safely say to try to warn Tupac, Pac then blamed Biggie for being involved in the plot.
Docmananoff 3 weeks ago
@Docmananoff On top of that Mobb deep in da song "Drop a gem on'em" they diss Pac subliminally sayin, "robberies in Manhattan you knew what happened
60 g's and one for gun clappin
Who Shot Ya? You'd probably scream louder than an opera
New York gotcha, now you wanna use my mob as a crutch
what makes you think you cant get bucked again"

@Amidat i agree witu 100% me n tha rest of cali folks know suge only bailed him out due to his man gettn popped n suge has only done anything n everything for his own personal gain i will say it is very unfourtunate as intelligent n kind hearted pac was he lost his life but tha creator had greater plans for him n yes all his movies r eastcoast bound but his heart was n cali he was raised there as a teenager to live n die n la
MrSmoothoperator1982 1 month ago
@MrSmoothoperator1982 - Pac spent the majority of his life on the east coast (NY and Baltimore) - so he wasn't "raised in Cali" - he just went there to live. Rap is entertainment. The street is the street. Pac was hanging around grimy street dudes in NY and that's what got him shot (they thought he was too flashy). In Cali was messing with Suge and the Pirus (I got fam in Cali so I know all about it) and got caught up.... should be a lesson to young dudes..make money - stay off the street.
Amidat 1 month ago
@Amidat no 2pac started sellin drugs in cali oakland, he said it himself he wasnt a thug in NY maybe baltimore, he said no disrepect to Ny but i learnt the game in cali thats where he started drug dealin
Dadonwestside 4 weeks ago
@Dadonwestside - Pac wasn't any serious drug dealer... a real hustler wouldn't go on tour as a dancer with digital underground. and I'm talking about rap... not streets. But he left Harlem at 12... most 12 year olds knew all about the street (if they were allowed outside) by that age.... you grow up fast in NY. Was he confused when he first called himself "MC New York"???
Amidat 3 weeks ago
@Amidat Pac said it him self he wasnt good at drug dealer but he still done it but atleast he had a brain to care bout other black people and when 2pac called himself MC NEW YORK, he hasnt even been to cali. 2pac was poor so he had to do something to get somewhere like roadie, drug dealin so if you wanna start questioning me go read the real facts.
Dadonwestside 3 weeks ago
@Dadonwestside - I know Pac's story well - so don't get mad. What does it have to do with Biggie?? But no - he wasn't a "drug dealer" either even though he had a little hustle. College students even hustle a little to pay tuition.. Biggie was not strange in NY because he went to catholic school and dropped out. NYC is "home of the hustlers" half the dudes dibbled and dabbled in the street - but that doesn't make them a "drug dealer". A "drug dealer" is someone who does nothing else.
Amidat 3 weeks ago
@Dadonwestside - u proved my point - he was thinking of rap before he went to Cali. Btw -Harlem was the drug capital of America back then. In NYC - at 12 we already had to know how to fight and carry brass knuckles or a razor. u could sit on your stoop and know all of what the hustlers were doing. "Stick up kids" started their "career" at 13. Even if Pac wasn't allowed outside - you forget the reason his mother left NY was because his step father and aunt were out here heisting banks.
Amidat 3 weeks ago
@Amidat All is very tru....
HipHopHead187 3 weeks ago
@Amidat I hate people who are not poor bur still decide to drug deal like biggie he wasnt poor, he had education and shit but never took because he thought drug dealing was cool and he wanted to be a gangster.
Dadonwestside 3 weeks ago
@Dadonwestside - you made mention you don't like rappers who were not poor or who had an education who got involved in the street.... so what do you think of Eazy-E who became a drug dealer while living in a two parent household where they both worked? Or of Suge Knight who actually even went to college and played football professionally? I didn't see you mention them...
Amidat 1 week ago
@Amidat HAHA suge knight aint a fuckin rapper u mug face and so what if you lived in two different houses, that dont mean your rich or having a good life
Dadonwestside 1 week ago
@Dadonwestside - Yet Suge became a pro footballer and went to college on scholarship... and though he's not a rapper - he had all the west coast rappers SHOOK and was giving them orders. So how does that work?? My fam in Cali told me Eazy E really was a gang member... but it is also reality is he grew up in a 2 parent household with stable jobs. You're a plain hypocrite for bringing up BIG going to Catholic school. "Mug face"? Did you think of that all by yourself?? Clown!
Amidat 1 week ago
@Amidat last thing suge is from 1 of tha most notorius feared gangs n southern cali n wit funds from suge make them n sum ways untouchable i dnt a fucc bout dem clowns but tha fact remains pac hung out wit sum killas tht was not n his best interest n all folks know n los angeles if u hang wit gangmembers most likely trouble follows n pac was rasised n oakland california where gangs arent as brutal as la gangs cuz we lovd pac as we do snoop n cube but its always gone b sum haters

josephkeogh99 1 month ago

NewYorkRebel187 1 month ago
@NewYorkRebel187 NY thugs thinking they hard cus they let a couple of shots off thru the trailer doors at night LOL biggie got killed in LA and u never heard a LA cat bragging about that. real thugs dont shoot and brag.
nukeusa911x2 1 month ago
@nukeusa911x2 - nah Dogg Pound and Snoop had protection from the NOI and the NYPD once their trailor got shot up... and it wasn't at night. Biggie (though it was kind of foolish) was out there hanging out for weeks with no protection. And it was a professional hit that killed him... not street thugs... so street thugs couldn't brag... yet I see plenty of fools on here doing just that.
Amidat 1 month ago
@nukeusa911x2 Dog i aint shoot em, wat is you on, Brag?.. i said i fuck wit da west. I was just stating facts cuz it happened in the hood. What sense would it make for me to hate if i chose to watch this video. Nobody cares fam. Read my comment over who is braggin. I dont give a fuck if u from ny or not. Just cuz niggaz from my city dont mean i fuck wit em. I just love hip hop and Biggie got hit on for nothin. But i could see once again niggaz on the net like to talk, that all.

mel19789 2 months ago
@gameover896 - how is it the best weather when you got smog?? you got mudslides and droughts and wildfires... so the weather aint all that great. I wouldn't trade your sunshine for smog and lack of water. Btw - they didn't really kick over any buildings. That's a "Hollywood" stunt - done in a studio with a "green screen" and "computer editing". You didn't really think they were superheroes and could actually do that did you?

I can't believe no one is talking about the lyricism in this song it's of the highest caliber- nothing better man except for lupe fiasco but anyone tell me a more lyrical song than this?
bobsyashufflinguncle 2 months ago
@bobsyashufflinguncle lupe fiasco is okay he isnt the bst even the game is better
jayd4ever 2 months ago
@jayd4ever game? lol you lost your damn mind? 50 cent wrote like 5 songs for him in his early album and lupe ways better than the game. And in this vid, snoop and the dogs were shot at
bobsyashufflinguncle 2 months ago
@bobsyashufflinguncle game is better lupe fiasco is okay its opinion i dont why people like you think lupe is good
jayd4ever 2 months ago
@bobsyashufflinguncle and yeah 50 cent wrote some of the lines but also alot of it was written by the game himself
jayd4ever 2 months ago
@bobsyashufflinguncle Not sure about the Lupe Fiasco part, but you're right...lyrics are tight on this track! When everyone was shitting on West Coast rappers for their lyrical skills, Korupt brought it.
dodgerbobble 2 months ago
@dodgerbobble kurupt technically is not from the west coast he's really from philly
xxReggiE1989xx 2 months ago
@dodgerbobble - they had Kurupt rap on it with an east coast style because he's from Philly... that's why they could say they were "down by law"

Ech33zy 2 months ago
Seriously though.. R u muhfkaz serious about this sh*t ya'll spillin on here ? Tryna put on blast the dead, n still on this east/west bullsh*t? Really though u "ig'nant" fukz, get the fk over urselves n move the fk on. Bt real spit though, Pac luv'd the East Koast n had hella luv 4 the West as well cuz he came up on both sides.
Ech33zy 2 months ago

Funny enough - my uncle's wife grew up in Compton on Belhaven... she moved to Long Beach for school in the 80's and she like it... til she said all the thugs she was trying to get away from moved down there... lol. She sure got her education though... and so do her kids now.

shyt is wack...they tried to sound east...plus they did dat shyt in times square nex to the cop station...i dunno...they aint prove shyt if u ask me
therichonez 3 months ago
@therichonez - yeah they let the "Philly" dude do an east coast style rap to say they are "down by law".... they don't even know the history of the song that was sampled from. They only did the stupid "kicking over buildings" after they got shot at... this wasn't a diss song... they tried to make it a diss video after... but it was "hollywood style" - not gangster.
Amidat 3 months ago
@therichonez atleast these nigger could came to newyork and did ths when they responded to this with la la they stayed in newyork like pussys
