Elis is just The Best. I have been listening a lot to the album "Elis and Tom" which she made with Tom Jobim (who wrote this song). There's a great version of this on there. Jobim wrote two versions - one in Portuguese and one in English. Personally as an English speaker with just a tiny bit of Portuguese, I think it sounds much better in Portuguese :^) The pianist here is Cesar Mariano, I think. Genius.

This song is wonderful. I first heard this on a tape in a flat in Edinburgh in 1992 and I have never forgotten that moment. I got a copy of that tape and still have it... somewhere. Most couples have their song. Well this is MY song, I claim it as my own, I love it so much. Better than the one she sings with Jobim. Sublime
