Great job on the refinish, and playing too! Last year I redid my hideous day-glo orange-pink 1987 Ibanez 550 to a more earthly dark green with brown and yellow wood grain. It was a fun project and luckily it still shreds, heh.
I have an RG120 myself and would love to just sand off the paint and do either a nice clear coat or an oil finish on the body. I've never done any real woodwork though. Is it easy to get the paint off? The RG120 can be a killer fixer upper with the right investment
