He'll also study anatomical and/or scientifically preserved species... feathers, hair, claws that might be found in a museum.
those are a kneaded eraser that is available at your neighborhood art supply store. if you have a wal-mart near by, they have them also. you use them like silly putty to clean them. they can also be shaped in small pointed pieces for small areas.
