The Canyons is one of my favorite mountains that I visited in Utah. I went for a week when I was 10, skied almost all the diamond trails and all over the place. Just an awesome Mountain.
Too much Traversing to get to any of the trails on the mountain. On a Canyons hill you do more traversing than skiing. Please try to look at my comment on Deer Valley video
@midgetonskis18 I agree somewhat. The resort is spread across 3 mountains so you do have to do a lot of traveling to get from one mountain to the next. But because the place is so spread out, I typically can have runs all to myself. The Canyons has narrow trails and gladed runs, but it also has wide open bowls too.
Most people will enjoy Park City Mtn. Resort. Plenty of trails for beginner-advanced, terrain parks, pipes, etc. & is close to the downtown area for shopping & restaurants.....
....If you are strictly a skier, don't like snowboarders and can appreciate impeccably groomed slopes, then Deer Valley is for you. The Canyons is huge for those who need a lot of variety, lots of bowls, but also lots of opportunity for tree skiing. Some of the trails on the lower part of the mtn are narrow & it does take a bit of traversing to get to the other peaks, but when you do finally get there, often you have the slope to yourself.

@kmcgill794 Try discount lift tickets from ski shops or liftopia. You usually can get at least 30% off.

Between PC Mountain Resort, this and Deer Valley, that place is my least favorite
