I love how I finally get up close to the time eater, it then pulls a troll face with it's silly jack-o-lantern head then lunges 5 miles backward and i'm like dang it! though i gotta admit this is my favorite modern day sonic boss

I really think people should realize... this game was a good bye to Old Classic Sonic, I see NO point for Sega to reuse him anymore. Sonic 4 Episode 2 either will continue or be cancelled and then they have room to make whatever Modern Sonic game they want.

@The94Venom Yeah, that's because Sonic 4's physics sucked (compared to the original trio and CD). If Sonic 4 had just been "random Sonic adventrue #30", people would have lauded it. It's problem was that it tried to be a sequel to the old games and failed miserably. Also it had uninspired (or too inspired) stages and music.

This isn't technically "Phase 2". There is NO Phase 2. This music only plays when you switch to Classic Sonic. Phase 1 plays when you are playing as Modern Sonic during the fight.

@henryn56 The music for Modern is more orchestrated. This has more of a retro feel, as most of the Classic remixes of the songs do, and it doesn't sound as heavily pronounced as the Modern Remix does.

Plus, there's not a lick of ominous latin chanting in this version, as opposed to the Modern Version. It kinda helps if you listen back to back or both versions at the same time, what have you.

the reason why they're the same is because the final boss is only one phase and the music changes between phase one and two because of the mechanics of the battle(think sonic rush adventure)
