  • One of my favourite Killing Joke tracks next to Requiem and Psyche. Total genius.

  • I miss John Peel.

  • Love that Nazca Lines robe.

    Love the song even more.

  • figure it out.

  • What is this song talking about, honestly?

  • @jessejafrnd I'd say it's a cynical view of where Mankind is going-not to a good place, thus "a new day" on the surface sounds promising-but isn't. The Easter Island images are from a lost civilization that probably destroyed itself long ago and all that are left of them are the statues they constructed. I take the lead singer in this video (Jaz) to be a prophet of death.

  • @jessejafrnd its quite obvious he is talking about a new religon.

  • I agree that there is something quite magical and stirring about this song - it's quite extraordinary. I bought it when it came out, on 12". Killing Joke were, and remain, a fascinating and exciting band.

  • At least someone is concerned with international character rather than simply who they spent last night with.

  • Takes me right back and better than I ever remembered!

  • gotta love Raven. R.I.P.

  • I'm glad Nirvana stole one of their riffs...:D

  • @AmethystAnarchyAngel Jaz wasnt happy, was going to sue them but Kurt did what he did and that brought the matter to an end for him. Works bloody well though doesnt it "come as you are " or "Eighties" !

  • postpunk as fuck!

  • i had favorited this video, and some asshole removed it , that pisses me off i dont steal music . its nice to recall the old days , thats how i do it. i favorite videos from the past ---- way past---

  • i always forget how much i love this song

  • After all these years this song still stirs something ethereal and hypnotic in me that very few songs have ever done; perhaps its the croon of Geordie’s beautiful guitar riff slipping in and out of the rhythm and bass, and the hailing voice of Jazz in these clarion call lyrics…I don’t know… sort of like a powerful dream that evokes indescribable emotions that you can’t shake off and that stick with you through the glaring reality of the next day. Mysterious!

  • @Slaprougefun exactly.

  • holy shit

    his eyes 'r sick

he would make a great cult leader

but wait he is pretty much cult already

  • the design in his T-shirt is the peruvian Spider Nazca lines

    ... great!!

  • YouTube Jordan Maxwell dawn of a new day.

  • FUNKY

  • This is one of my favourite KJ songs, but I gotta say,Geordie looks like a smurf!

  • @BlueFeatherKJ did u consider the fact that Hindus paint themselves blue as a way of honouring their blue skinned gods?

  • @emile235 I didn't know that.You learn something new everyday

  • great album : nighttime

bit too catchy or less rough then the previous records

    but nontheless

a fabulous album if not one of their best

  • I had that T-shirt.

  • Well, personally I think that their main purpose in this vid was to show how varied is our civilization , to show what is happening in the world at the same particular second! To show life! The cultures around the globe are so different , however MAN, the HUMAN WITHIN is stil the same ... Beyond that, I think that the vid aware us that a man have written every particular culture or behavior from this video in "flesh and blood" .

  • I love the chorus effect on the guitar i this song.

  • I don't mind the bodypaint. Paul and Geordie look like good British Pagans next to Jaz's nazca lines outfit

  • Big paul their best drummer

the gig in paris was awesome yesterday

  • ❺★★★★★

  • Geordie Walker, the coolest guitarist on the planet and they make him look really gay in this.

  • @46lar

Yes. Yes they did. Geordie was probably too cool to tell them to f-off. It's okay, we all must bear the burden, of the ridiculous costume/makeup staffer who set him up that way. We all must be strong for Geordie, because he rocks

  • @AJtheory did u consider the fact that Hindus paint themselves blue as a way of honouring their blue skinned gods?

  • @46lar the gayer the better, fuck all that boring straight shit

  • Comment removed

  • The guitar work on this track is just brilliant.

  • killing joke is a fucking great band

  • a revolution is coming!

  • the lyrics are pretty weird, A new day, a new way, what is he talking about, the age of Aquarius maybe? 2012 maybe? the lyrics have a very new age feel to them.

  • Jaz looks a bit like Chippy (of Tim and Eric fame) in this, yea?

  • i find the video very interesting in all the clips of cultures and nature a little wierd outfit he must have been feeling dark the lyrics say something else to me.

  • wicked group the lead singer is an evil looking fucker trim those eyebrows dude

  • Excellent post!!!

  • honestly, vanilla midget, he's a goof through out this entire song :P...thats just part of their charm, eheh

  • Ha. I love Killing Joke, but what the fuck's up with Jaz at the beginning? That's just hilarious

  • haha, i know what you mean -- he's still sexy regarldess, :P!

  • The Joke at their tribal best!! sublime!

  • the look of geordie is wonderful.

    killing joke always rules!!!!

  • @96984345 Maybe this was from Geordie's "blue period"?

  • awesome quality - smokes!

  • I wonder if anyone that ever sees this video can say they ever drank blood straight from an animal.
