@EPzti actually the 2009 ford f150 tows 11300, across all platforms, 2door or 4, where as the dodge 1500 for 2009 tows 9100 with the 5.7l, 2wd, and the toyota tows a max of 10800, not to mention the 2011 f150 with the new motors tows 11300 across the board, including both v6's they offer, and those get 24 mpg.. plus the new 6.2 rapes any shitty dodge or tundra out there, and is now available in the normal f150's, not just the raptor.

There are only two engine configurations available for the F-150. The 281CI 4.6L V8 and the 3--CI 5.4L V8. And hopefully soon the new 6.0L 'Hurricane' V8. I like the new Fords, but I think it was retarded that they released 2 new designs less than 4 years after its introduction.
Not to be a pain, but technically, there are 3 engine choices. The 4.6 V8 2-valve with the 4-spd, the 4.6 V8 3-valve with the 6-spd, and then the 5.4 V8 3-valve, with the 6-spd. And if I recall, the Hurricane is a 6.2 V8, with estimated hp of 400.

I thought the Hurricane was a 6.0L, but I assume I'm wrong on that too, but to either extent, I can't wait for it to come out, that'd be a crate motor actually worth something.
haha a Hurrican crate would be awesome!! I believe it goes into the Raptor first, then it probably would trickle down, most likely going in the Harley Davidson version, and possibly into the new Super Duty (to compete with Dodge and the Hemi in their 2500/3500).
ford does have a v6 engine smart one if you see the commercials of the new f-150that it offers better miles than the silverado at the top it says 4.6L v6
Neither Ford, Chevy, or Dodge offers a V6 in a extended cab (anymore) or crew cab. It is fuckin pointless to offer it in a truck of those sizes, the efficiency of a V6 diminishes when it is put in a heavier truck that is designed for a V8. Also it is a shame no one wants to make inline light truck motors bigger than 4 cylinders (except GM's I-5) these days, those are some of the longest lasting and highest torque engine designs.
first off the tundra is the heaviest one they have and also ford and chevy offer different axle rotation witch leads to better fuel economy rather than preformance so in fact the tundra is the most fuel effiecent for what that set up is capable of
that E85 fuel will increase the fuel efficiency by about 1-2 mpg. if the ford had the same fuel management system as the chevy, it would a fuel effiencient machine. in canadian gallons, the 2009 f-150 with the SFE package gets 29mpg on the highway (as advertised0 and im guessing around 20mpg in the city.

ok my toyota has 300,00 miles on it and never never had to do any thing to besides the normal stuff change oil etc AND IT STILL RUNING GOOD NO LIE my friend had a ford exsploer brand new and he took care of it and still the rear window was falling off and the transmission went on it and the rear end was starting to mess up and it only had 93,000 miles thats like brand new for a toyota lol and my uncles friend has a toyota corolla and it also has like 400,000 miles lol so JAps own

Nope, I have a Chevrolet 1500 with almost 400,000 miles on the original motor and transsmission, and it hasn't been babied like you're Toyota probably has been. I have no doubt it will hit half a million miles without any major problems, and I have no doubt my '08 F-150 will last just as long without problems.

Chevy should of won because Ford was using a 4.6L V8, Tundra was using 5.7L V8, Dodge was using a 5.7L V8, and the Chevy was using a 5.3L V8. Ford was using their smallest engine in this challenge which wasnt really fair for the others. I am a huge fan of Ford but this competition has to go to the Chevy.

There are only two engine configurations available for the F-150. The 281CI 4.6L V8 and the 3--CI 5.4L V8. And hopefully soon the new 6.0L 'Hurricane' V8. I like the new Fords, but I think it was retarded that they released 2 new designs less than 4 years after its introduction.

Not to be a pain, but technically, there are 3 engine choices. The 4.6 V8 2-valve with the 4-spd, the 4.6 V8 3-valve with the 6-spd, and then the 5.4 V8 3-valve, with the 6-spd. And if I recall, the Hurricane is a 6.2 V8, with estimated hp of 400.

Oops. You are correct on that. I forgot that they released two versions of the 4.6L, to me they're pretty much the same, but I acknowledge my ignorance on that, thanks. I thought the Hurricane was a 6.0L, but I assume I'm wrong on that too, but to either extent, I can't wait for it to come out, that'd be a crate motor actually worth something.

Neither Ford, Chevy, or Dodge offers a V6 in a extended cab (anymore) or crew cab. It is fuckin pointless to offer it in a truck of those sizes, the efficiency of a V6 diminishes when it is put in a heavier truck that is designed for a V8. Also it is a shame no one wants to make inline light truck motors bigger than 4 cylinders (except GM's I-5) these days, those are some of the longest lasting and highest torque engine designs.

that E85 fuel will increase the fuel efficiency by about 1-2 mpg. if the ford had the same fuel management system as the chevy, it would a fuel effiencient machine. in canadian gallons, the 2009 f-150 with the SFE package gets 29mpg on the highway (as advertised0 and im guessing around 20mpg in the city.
