However, without presuming to speak for the DSO musicians themselves, we do note that the musicians have embraced the Granholm/Levin proposal to set the 3-year contract with total compensation of $36 million, a reduction of $12 million over the last three-year period. That's hardly "holding out" for "tons of money", but unfortunately management has thus-far rejected this compromise.
