@6911angie They could not hera themselves very well either. Sound systems were very primitive in the sixties. Most sound systems back then did not have on stage monitor speakers so it was very difficult for performers to sing or play together and stay in tune. The use of monitor speakers on stage was not widespead.until later. The fact that the beatles could not hear themselves very well on stage is one of the reasons they stopped touring.

weak performance? they performed all their early shows without monitors...they were unable to hear themselves sing due to the screaming yet they continued and performed from memory of what they did in rehearsals. Can any band today be able to do this? Very very doubtful!

and if it was a "weak" performance, which it was, don't you know they quit performing live because they couldn't HEAR THEMSELVES over the constant screaming? they tired of it... why try when they audience can't hear it? They hadn't lost it obviously... cementing their legendary status in the next 4 years. BEST BAND THAT WILL EVER EXIST IMO.

I hate to say this, but this is the worst performance of theirs I've ever seen. Even George, who's usually flawless, doesn't sound good on his solo. Ringo looks pissed at times- like he's the only one taking it seriously.

why did lennon only spray paint the back of his final epiphone casino? (the one used after rubber soul/ the cream coloured one)

John only had one Epiphone Casino in his whole career as a musician. He got in late 1965 and in 1967, spray painted the back of it with white and gray paint. Then later on in mid-1968, he took the pickguard off and brought the Casino to a luthier (guitar maker) and had it sanded down to the original natural finish and had Grover tuners put on it. He believed that when the Casino had nothing on it but a thin coat of laquer it made the guitar "breathe" and have better tone.
