its the Black Page pt. 2 - Frank Zappa Milestone... I played this years ago in an orchestra, awesome how great and difficult this wonderfull track - DRUM SOLO - is until today!!!
Mike Schäperclaus is one of the best percussionists in the world in my opinion. I've seen this group live and they're SO amazing. Terry Bozzio really found a purpose for his huge diatonic/chromatic tuned kit! Thumbs up!
That is The Black Page Number 2. In New York they were doing it over a "cheesy disco vamp". So Frank called it The Black Page NUMBER 2: The Easy New York Teen Age Version! It's just The Black Page without the keyboard part.
He has serious feel even in a "compositional format" which most drummers cannot pull off!!!!!. Like I said before most drummers think dynamically, and rhythmically, but not melodically. He is by far the best compositional, and melodic player in the world. No one comes close. He can do it all. I wish he would show more of his chops though. I was just listening to the his work on UK "Danger Money" album...what he did on that album makes Tony Royster sound like a joke.
Wow. Well. This being my first time I've ever seen this group. I must admit. I was quite impressed. It was unpredictable. I like that. Definitely a group I'll be checking into. Great job.
Brilliant, amazing, incredible. Beautiful performance. Bozzio's mastery of the drums is off the charts. Now that's true drum composition at its finest.
This is the best of the drums group solo.
