when they made this song/LP,they had just gotten off tour with Bon Scott and AC/DC.this gave them the edge for this and other harder rocking songs from this LP.my favorite Journey record next to Evolution! come back Steve!!!!
@nailers99 There was never a "Captured Tour" There was a "Captured Album" it is a double live album from the 1980 "Departure Tour" which was Gregg Rolie's final tour. Jonathan Cain's first Tour with Journey was the "Escape Tour".
@santacruz3600 I do remember reading what I put in my first post, but i do not remember where. If I find it, I will post. BTW-Gregg was already gone from the band before "Party Is Over" was even recorded for Captured.
Jonathan Cain didn't leave the Babys & join Journey until the Escape album...this is Gregg Rolie on keyboards (think he was still a co-lead singer at this point as well)
Neal Schon - another extremely underrated guitarist...also high up there on my list of favorites. This song brings back some great memories from the early 80s. 5 stars

Actually, Gregg left the band before the Captured tour started. Cain did that tour.
