For some who have asked and anyone else who might wonder.

I believe for the Wii Remote & Nunchuck playstyle, you just need to wave both about to recover. Much like pressing 1 and 2 rapidly for the classic NES style controls.

I swear i try this trick with just using the wiimote and it doesnt consistenly work for me. Is it a "sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't" kind of trick cause i swear I mash the hell out of 1 and 2 and theres fights where i NEED this to work to win a fight and when it didn't work u could tell my frustration ^^;

It IS possible to do this twice in a match, in the same round even. I've only seen it happen once and it requires a ton of luck and mashing skill to pull off.

Yea, found this out by accident fight Mr. Sandman for the belt, I was able to come back from otherwise being TKO and win the match, 3rd Round, each of us knocked down twice, 30 secs to go, both low on health, he htis me, I get frustruated and start hitting 1 and 2, then I saw that I was still standing, and beat the shit out of him, a happy ending.

In this video he can do the trick but notice its round 3 and Don already has a knockdown. If it's TD Sandman landing wink uppercuts to knock you down 3 times in the first minute then forget about it

I remember doing this trick against soda popinski, I was pretty confident I was gonna win and then the bottle pops up I punched it away he uppercuts 3 times, I wasn't able to dodge the last one so I almost fell down then I just shaked and press every button hoping mac would get back, and he did! I was all "a miracle!?" so I just continued fighting then I got a star then gave that star right up to soda pop's face! epic...
