  • very well I have to say you´re better than my teacher he´s not very good nice vdeo man

  • which is stronger side kick or push kick ?

  • il faut lever le genoux plus haut que le pied......c est elementaire dans un coup de pied....ossss

  • His English is beatifule xD

  • I really like Konstantin's style - if you are ever in the Cambridge, MA - MIT area, you should definitely stop by and check him out!!

  • @pbigio

Thanks P. I hope everything is well. Best, K

  • its a nice video and good explanation, but hinging/kicking like that is pretty hard to line up correctly and many times end up with a hip replacement, just ask any major karate fighter (bill wallace, chuck norris). good for points, but not for power.

  • Why don't MMA fighters utilize this kick as much? And I wish I saw fighters of more varied backgrounds in MMA. The UFC should go to places like China, Thailand, or the Philipines and recruite fighters to give the MMA more diversity in martial arts. Everyone looks the same. It's just kickboxing, wrestling and Brasilian Juijitsu for the most part.

  • There are two reasons, the UFC was invented by a grappler, so the rules in the octagon benefit grapplers (rules such as no knees to the head of a grounded opponent, and no head stomps). The second reason is that the UFC has become popular in the UFC mainly because there are a ton of grapplers in the US. For example, Karate is as popular in Japan as Wrestling is in the US. So, collegiate wrestling is the main Martial Art in the US. Dear, PHK, maybe you can post a video on how to do Head Stomps?

  • There's a ton of grappling now, but when the UFC first started it was basically street fighting. Big huge muscled up and overweight trucker looking dudes fighting each other with little to no background in martial arts. It wasn't until I think '93 when a scrawny Brasilian guy came in and took fighters to the grown and tapped out dudes twice his size. Me, I'm a stand up guy, I love watching stand up. I like the big kicks. Grappling's boring and uses hell of energy but you have to know it now.

  • @TheBaltimoreKnight the first 10 or 12 ufc's were all won by grapplers bjj and wrestliers ect and at one point they thought that was gonna be it untill murice smith a kickboxer came along and stole the crown off of mark colemans head lol.then the game changed abit because stand up fighters were winning. thats why all the mma fighters just learn kboxing and bjj ect. im a stand up guy tho all thay do now is roll about to see how many sex moves thay can do for when thay get home lol. gets boring.

  • Cung Le uses side kicks ;)

    I agree with you

  • thats because whoever was knowing a little kickboxing and wrestling was opening a fighting gym named it MMA or whatever and just ''stealing''

money from ppl. Thats why there is no ''challenge''

    in MMA, UFC etc. anymore.

they r not even technical at all...

  • @TheBaltimoreKnight

they don't use it cause it doesn't work. they use the simpler and less dangerous kicks

  • Thank you!

  • Really great vid. My thrust kick just became useful. Its been really difficult moving away from boxing to karate and i've been very shy about my side kicks, especially the thrust kick. Just realised where i've been going wrong for the last 6 months! You've got to show them your arse first - ha. Thanks.
