  • I dont really think eating eggs is a bad thing O_o I like eggs but I don't like hurting chickens. I dont think all because one person stops eating them they'll stop hurting them TT_TT I dont even know if they are hurting them. >w< I dont like hurting animals but I not vegetarian, I guess all I can say is...   • I made deviled eggs with: Eggyolks, eggwhite "cups", black pepper, mayonaise ( half fat), and a little seasalt ( finely granulated) just now, and I said to my dad: Hey, try them!!

    And he tried one, afterwards he said: Hey, I erh... didn't get to taste it... can I try another one, you know, to make sure... :p and that all because I saw this video clip and begged my mother to let me make it :D!

  • My dad used to use french onion sour cream dip in his deviled eggs. So I make them that way every year at Christmas for the family :) Kinda just replace the dip, with some of the mayo you would have used.

  • Experiment with yogurt, sour cream, whipped cream or soy mayo. A little mustard will add flavor and smoothness as well.

  • If you use relish you don't need lemon juice.

    I prefer sweet relish but dill is goo, too.

  • guys, boil your eggs, 12 of em. Mix the yolks with 2/3 cup mayo, couple tablespoons of ranch or sour cream, then blend some shredded cheddar with it. add some seasoned salt, pinch garlic salt, pepper and very little regular salt. top with a 1 inch strip of bacon on each egg. i GUARANTEE you will never have better. youre welcome.

  • @udderlymoovelous It doesn't taste any different, it just doesn't look as nice. Altho it is humourous how they say the key to the perfect boiled egg is to keep it at a simmer, yet they don't use perfectly boiled eggs for the demo.

  • @mookho12345lu I am sure that any mayo & mustard would work but u can tell a world of difference when u use Hellmans Mayonaise over any other. It taste so much better than any other.

  • finely chopped celery works really great in the deviled eggs, I make them all the time, and it is a big hit at party's.

  • @MrScottKramer I use chopped olives in mine or sweet pickle relish sometimes. I put a slice of olive on the top of mine instead of the chives, actually never thought about the chives... might try that next time instead, and sprinkle with paprika or Tony's Creole Seasoning for spicy deviled eggs. yummm =)

  • I like to make mine with the 'White Salad dressing' type like Miracle Whip. I also add sweet pickle relish. You can add Wostershire sauce other than mustard. I season with salt & pepper & then paprika on the finished ones.

    I prefer the sweetness better than the flat type of lemon manayse

  • @inspire734 Definitely. I think miracle whip would be better since it's not as heavy texture or flavour-wise. It's a teensy bit tangy too.

  • I make them for years and sell them also, but this recipe is not my thing! there will be no lemon juice in it at all. If you buy them at the store, they have no taste at all. So homemade will be always the best.

  • how i made them: 4 eggs, boil, put in a bowl of ice water to chill, cut open, put yolks in a bowl, add mustard,mayo,pepper/salt, mix together, add put into the egg halfs, cool a little bit, eat [: Yummy!

  • nice ye i dont put chives on it. you can put whatever fresh leaves you have chop them up really nice and add a lil on top

  • i add less mustard and use "jack daniel's honey mustard" and add a little frank's red hot sauce. then top it with chili powder. they always turn out great and have a nice little kick to them.

  • How do you boil eggs so that the egg shell easily comes off? I have the hardest time getting the shells off the eggs. I always end up tearing up the whites of the egg trying to get the shells off.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • When you first start the boiling process, add some baking soda. Then when the eggs are done, crack the top and peel the top off then repeat with the bottom, then blow through. The egg will pop out. It sounds funny but it actually works. There are some tutorials on youtube.

  • To make the egg shells come off easier: eggs that are a week old will peel easier and if you take them off of the heat as soon as the water gets to a rolling boil, cover and wait 20 min, then put them into cold water (change the water a few times) to cool them down then they will peel easier too!

    crack all the way through the egg by tapping on all sides with a spoon after their boiled hard.

    peel the shell by rubbing u're thumb gently.
