  • Also, the guy with the drink at the beginning of the video is the same actor that portrayed the ATC in the video of the AeroMexico jet that had a mid-air out in California years ago. Guess he decided to retire to jolly ole UK.

  • Captain park crashed and died at least two times lol he was on the japan air episode too.

  • Hah that's why you fly Airbus, Flight Envelope Protection would never allow that fag to over bank...

  • poor guys :O

  • Which begs the question. If Korean Air had such a piss poor safety record why were allowed to fly into Britain in the first place?

  • capt park thought the 747 was a fighter jet.

  • luckily it wasn't full of passengers.

  • Captain Park is acted as the same actor for Captain on JAL 123 and KE 007 in ACI series!!

  • Seems like the acting Gary Dann is the same in the Aeromexico 498 as the ATC.

  • why is nobody mentioning what class acts the two men in the village are? not many people would run toward a burning plane in a forest to try to save strangers - even though they couldn't save anyone, they are heroes!

  • ACI has used the same dudes as crew for the Korean Air Shootdown and also the JAL 123 crash!

  • that's why korean air had such bad safety record

  • All boils down to CRM...

  • I was over 1 year old at the time of the incdent just 8 days before I turned 2.

  • Wow what a comeback.

  • That old nikka could SMD, fuck, he killed everyone... smfh

  • Will someone please explain to me why the guy turned the plane? I didn't watch the whole vid.

  • @supersoldier7738 You mean the pilot? Once they were off the runway and far enough from the airport they were making a left turn probably to go to a nav point to start their flight to their destination. It was a planned turn that went wrong.

  • @4k8t

right ok, i thought he wanted to crash the plane. thanks.

  • First Officer needed to grow a back bone if he was gonna be a first officer, If your Captain is being careless you set him straight, I've known captains and First Officers through working with aircraft. Also it seems the Captain, couldnt quite accept he was no longer in the airforce, he seemed to think, he was higher above his station.

  • @RedLauLau Did you actually watch and listen to the video? Vacuous statements like that show either you are profoundly deaf or culturally ignorant or both perhaps?

  • The captain looks familiar to another crash

  • @MrBryan86 He was the same guy from JAL 123

  • fuking koreans....i work with one and i knoe how stricted they want everthing obey them they thing they are the center of the world

  • I fly in Asia and this culture is a prolem in most asian airlines..the saving face crap..

  • @JamaicanDave1980 I know, I'm asian myself and I think it's totally stupid too.

  • KONY 2012

  • Its stupid to make the ADI into a complex gauge dependant on electric power. Instead an analog ADI will show the same thing, and wont shut down because of power failure etc.

  • This would not have happened in an airbus :D

  • @K0nst4nt1n96 And why is that?

  • Great episode, its great to learn from mistakes such as this one. This reminds me of what COULD of happened to the crash in the hudson

  • @KidKlassic91 why the hudson both those pilots seemed to have good comunication skills and worked well together

  • So airlines need to crash very often then suddenly say woot we improved our safety measures to become well regarded?

  • @renoxzor It's called "learning from your mistakes."

  • lol funny how extremely thin that runway centerline is....;) also funny how all planes in ACI have almost identical cockpits

  • @DiamondPilotDan well they're not going to have the real fucking cockpits are they?

  • @RealPlatoonGaming how hard would it be to do some filming in a simulator for the aircraft? 90% of the aircraft in the shows that show do have simulators with real cockpit mock-ups. not too hard to find

  • @DiamondPilotDan i guess, but it saves money, the show could have a tight budget, i mean come on, they use the same fucking actor more than once!:P

  • @RealPlatoonGaming they could get all of the footage they need for $250.. $100 in travel expenses to the sim

  • While I can see that the cause of the crash had some influence from the Korean hierarchy culture, the show has put it in such a way that the Korean culture is most to blame. Saying things like 'the cause of the crash can be dated back to hundreds of years ago' is basically putting the Korean culture as a culture that is backwards and wrong. You cannot just reject a culture because of an airplane crash. But it is important that Korean Air has given priority to safety and is now a leading airline.

  • Submissive culture results in a disaster!

  • think he was mr zulu in star trek too

  • It's seems that so many of these episodes come back to crew resource management...who has the best 'situational awareness' as said by Greg Feith.

  • @looiedl Yes I agree... its shocking how many of these accidents are due to instrument failure... i.e. controlled flight into terrain.

  • "It was not a jawbone, it was a bit of plastic".... The advantages of DNA testing ;-)

  • Nothing but stupidity. 呆れて物が言えん。

  • Diseased plane

  • Disastrous just DISASTROUS

  • Airbus flight envelope limiter would prevent this accident.

  • @oktal3700 777 got them too

  • @oktal3700 Or they could've just trained the crews better...

  • a japanese, then a korean LOL

  • There's a korean drama called Take care of us, Captain" It's all about the korean airline industry and pilots. You can clearly see how significance the hierarchy is in korean society! It's a very interesting drama!

  • This is definitely one of the downsides of hierarchal Korean work culture where a boss must be respected like a god.

  • @gurimrippa this is very true.

  • it's the first time i see an A380 in ACI

  • @mmd787 its a 747

  • @Xplaneflight I mean at the end of the video , iv never seen a A380 appaered in Aci

  • arrogance makes this disaster..

  • This Captain in the beginning to regret his death and his colleagues, but to deal with the crew like a king of kings of the earth really weird! ! !

He has no humility or even a smile to his colleagues

We are of course what happened to them and really regret , but a little bit of equality and humanity with others

  • I' consider 2 tons of whiskey a very serious threat but ok......

  • Comment removed

  • Dennis Akiyama - the man who is everytime playing a asian captain :)

  • the old jap guy looks really moody

  • thats the same capitain as japan air 123

  • The Korean Airlines Captain sounds like Sulu from the Star Trek original series........

  • @Darthbelal "WELL FLY HER APART THEN!" -Sulu in ST VI

  • What an idiot captain, why would you keep banking your damn plane if your control isn't working? just stupid!

  • Failed Cockpit Resource Management..

  • Captain is like a dictator. I would never fly with a person like this. I nearly punched my FI who was being an asshole.

  • Just like the famous old saying goes - "bad attitude brings loss of altitude"

  • Is it just me or does the first officer actually look a bit like Bruce Lee?

  • @musicianniaz Its just you.

  • Lol'ed at 0:43

  • @Laudan08 lol ya, pretty racist! pfft

  • @tuton59 wow! Fan or stalker? Hard to tell haha!

  • Useless captain.

  • i never knew Jackie Chan works on airplanes

  • why do they always make foreign pilots (especially Asian ones) so stupid? Seems a bit ethnocentric...but sickly comical at times...yah think?

  • i just realise there's Air Canada DC9 in stansted.......

what is it doing there? C-check? i don't think so :P

  • I think the guy who plays one of the eyewitnesses is the actor who player Walter White in the Aeromexico crash episode.

  • The Captain is the pilot of ACI JAL123?lol

  • the second captain is a chicken...

  • Wow, this brings chills. I was sat in the jumpseat of an arriving aircraft on the taxiway that day listening to these guys eventually getting their pushback and takeoff clearance on the headset. By the time I had gone through Customs and got into the car Stansted was closed due to this crash.

  • Lol i just notice the actor for the captain of this flight is the same as the one for jal123

  • @kuokstupid and korean 007

  • @kuokstupid I was about to say the same thing!

  • @kuokstupid Thought as much, looked like him.

  • @kuokstupid and the one for Korean air 007

  • @kuokstupid because they said all Asians look the same.

  • @kuokstupid and KAL 007. seems like every time theirs an asian pilot, this guys called in.

  • @HayesEntities next thing you know, he'll be doing commercials for Korean Airlines saying how safe it is to come and fly with him..........

  • @kuokstupid And KAL 007, the one destroyed by the russians xD

  • @kuokstupid

The pilot on JAL was AWESOME. How he managed to keep that plane in the sky so long...This captain? Not so much.

  • @kuokstupid I think i saw that with another actor two. I think it was one about the wtc and one about another hijacking. Both times he played the terrorist.

  • @kuokstupid thought he look familiar! :D

  • Fucking korean chon

  • What i want to know is what about the other important factor ... the human jaw bone found on the runway!

  • @JestersYouPube

They said it was just twisted plastic that looked like a jawbone.

  • @Blatpoppin5 WRONG. someone ran into the engine. Pay more attention!

  • @Seigu007

Lol I think you need to pay more attention and watch the video.

    Look at 15:55.

  • @Blatpoppin5 oops, sorry for jumping the gun

  • @Seigu007

    It's okay.

  • I wonder what would happen if the aircraft received conflicting commands from Captain and Co-pilot. Which would it follow?

  • That´s why i don´t fly Korean Airlines, the service is great and Korean says the have changed but that´s just bullshit. The Captain is the Captain and the first officer still has no balls to tell him when he does something wrong. It´s the same on every workplace in Korea and has always been like that. The boss is god and the worker does what he/she is told and keeps their mouth shut no matter what.

  • 31:25 what is with the stupid MTV jumpy spastic edits? Talk about ruining your show's credibility!

  • and i thought the arabs were backward.

  • the fellow officers should have fuckin knocked the captain out...and taken control of the plane...but them bitches thought it was Korean high school or feudal japan...

  • boycott Korean air.....

  • never fly with Japanese samurais and Koreans....because you never know when they will take out their swords to protect their honor.....even while flying the plane....fuckin stupid.....

  • @syedilyas33 so true, koreans tend to be a headache to deal with

  • An addition: don't fly with neither Korean Air or Air France. Risk is higher with those airlines, boycott them.

  • I think history shows us that the Captaincy role, as is, can cause crashes. See the Tenerife disaster that was imo completely the KLM Captains fault. The issue is A: the Captain is too sure of himself and his decisions B: so is everyone else C: can't or won't contradict due to command structure.

I think alot of the Captains authority needs to be removed to avoid this rather glaring command risk. We need a new a command structure.

  • @Foxx1981: A committee?

  • FUCK FLYING KOREAN AIR!!!

  • the pilot is chuck norris student :O

  • where is episode 9 and 10???

  • @HackzInHD check his channel

  • you can become a pilot if wear glasses?

  • @ny1fanta Yup, you can be a pilot as long as you can see properly, and wether you need glasses to be able to see properly or not makes no difference.

  • @737FSPilot oh whoa cool info, i've always become a pilot but my parents n friends are like nono, since I wear glasses. TY, lol this might be a turning point of my life

  • @ny1fanta Yes, but various factors count

  • @ny1fanta yeah...you can become pregnant even if 'he' wears condom.

  • Comment removed

  • bow to me bitch!

  • the lesson to this story is make sure your pilots are advanced white people....lol....at least they killed each other, and not passagers...

  • CRM fail

  • what a sad situation!!!

  • dont fly korean air...they will run you to the ground...

  • @syedilyas33 u gonna die anyway before 100years old ur age so what does it make any difference?

  • @lovejaeheecho does that mean i disregard the safety of others....and kill them along with me...whom i am responsible for.....those fuckin pilots deserved to die...but not those passengers.they are fuckin responsible...

  • @syedilyas33: Uhhhh... which passengers?

  • @cyc10pz . . Yeah.. He shldn't fly anymore ... He Has To Be Banned..

  • Does anyone believe this? How typical.

  • KAL 007, Korean Air Cargo flight 8509, and Japan Airlines flight 123, what will the guy bring down next.

  • Nip Airlines.

  • After retirement from United Airlines I did a short extent at Korean Air as a training Captain.

Although this was post 99 crash, I found the class culture very much alive and well in their cockpits! Most former military pilots lacked the language skills and CRM discipline required in modern airline environment. It is no surprise to me that the JeJu F/O either did not say anything in fear of being ridiculed or was not forceful enough to override the overbearing and errant Captain.

    Ross Aimer

  • I cant wait to see air crash investgation new season like this

  • did they make these videos with X-plane?

  • @LoCLai

...I think you need to get your eyes checked. The graphic detail of the CGI of this show is too good to be from a computer game.

  • Jawbone was a plastic?

  • Oh wait, was this guy in Panic over the Pacific too?

  • @CYC10PZ No, it was another one

  • So this guy has brought down 3 Boeing 747 aircraft, two of belong to Korean Airlines. He has been Korean, Japanese, and Korean again. This guy beats Chuck Norris hands down.

  • Comment removed

  • cost reductions ... they have one asian captain only (revived again and again) and use videogame's animations ^^

  • @CYC10PZ is he Dennis Akiyama?

  • @CYC10PZ Let's make sure he will no longer be allowed to fly a 747

  • @CYC10PZ hahaha ! class

  • the captain is an actor, part of the air crash investigation crew

  • Not only was this captain also the captain of JAL123, I think he was also the captain of KAL007 that was mistakenly shot down in soviet airspace (Mayday episode 'target is destroyed')

  • the pliot was stubit

  • What im concerned about, why is their a air canada DC_9 in stanstead.

  • @hyperkid321 I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • @hyperkid321 why is that strange/concerning?

  • Sounds is meant to be souls. But as my father is 100% Chinese, I'm more than aware from firsthand experiences of just how arrogant and stubborn he can be, even when faced with evidence that he is actually in the wrong. It's definitely something deep rooted in Asian culture, this idea of being older necessitating being wiser as well. Just goes to show just how important interpersonal dialogue and synergies on the flight deck are

  • Being half-Asian, I totally see the problems this flight crew did have and that ultimately led to the loss of the airframe and all four sounds

  • SO SAD!! kill by culture !! @_@

  • Comment removed

  • @detroit20081 In deed

  • that captain has had bad luck, firts jal123 and now a cargo 747!!!

  • @GREATSANSON Hope he can fly better and do the perfect safe landing next time.

  • What kind of suicidal a$@hole throw himself into an airplane

  • 40:45 shows how the crew worked

  • The first few seconds made me laugh so hard. (crash) Boeing 747. LOL

  • There's always someone on hand to say "complete and utter devestation".

  • Anyone else notice how only the captain pushes forward on the throttles on the take-off run? I guess they don't really know if both pilots did push at the same time, but it seems like the show has taken the liberty to show the captain was really in charge despite the procedure of both pilots pushing forward on the throttles.
