My daughter Paityn was activated April 12 2010 and she is doing great. We are just weeks away from her year anniversary and she has surpassed all of our expectations.She loves music, dancing and playing the drums. Her vocabulary and speech comprehension are phenomenal. She strings together sentences like nobodies business. The leaps and bounds that your children are about to go thru are nothing short of amazing and you will feel like crying with every word they speak.
She's doing great and is also 3. Amazingly, haven't had much trouble keeping her processors on. We've moved through 7 maps now, and this last one either caused or coincided w/ some challenging behavior but also produced the first indications she is actually hearing. Just 2 weeks post-activation, and she signed "hear" as I was putting away a bag of chips and has indicated hearing something at least once/day since then! I share in your excitement! I can't wait for her to respond to her name!
How is she doing right now? How old is she? My son was activated on Nov 22, he is 3 years-old and we are still having trouble with him wanting to take the processors off all the time, but he started reacting to his name... it is so exciting!
