  • The Comment below me is stupid DEPLEATED means its not radio active anymore.

  • @Future747Pilot....And what do they do with the spent fuel? Oh, thats right, nobody has any clue what to do with the spent fuel that will be radioactive for 10,000 years. But why be surprised, the personnel are being exposed to depleted uranium munitions as well as the unfortunate civilian populations of all the invaded countries. (Too many to mention at this stage). Its all for the bankers. No ordinary people benefit from this. Neither US nor anyone else.

  • @Future747Pilot The dumb ultracons don't know that their supporting cruisers, destroyers, supply ships, planes and helicopters do run on petrol based fuel...Don't be a ultracon, be a crunchy con

  • day check is for sissys...

  • The US carrier fleet is awseome GOD BLESS all those who sail on them...from the UK

  • @Future747Pilot actually there are carriers that can stay at sea for 25 years without re-fuel like the Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69)

  • nice video, at the end is the helicopter pilot flying sideways so that he can see the deck of the ship and hover in one spot relative to the ships deck?

  • Future747Pilot, actually a Nuclear Aircraft Carrier does not have to "Re-fuel" for 15 years. Actually, the only "refueling" that a carrier like this does is changing out the reactor every 15 years. Nuclear carriers like the Nimitz refuels underway the most important stuff like weapons, jet fuel, supplies, etc. Conventional carriers are different in the propulsion.

  • So there's only 3 types of aircraft in use on carriers now, Hornets Sea hawks and hawkeyes.

  • @CatsLairArchives what happened to the Tomcats and Cods?

  • @AccordGTR Tomcats were retired and replaced with Hornets. Unsure if they are still using the greyhounds(I think that was the name for them, anyway)

  • @AccordGTR They're still using the Cods. We need our mail and goodies from Best Buy ;-)

  • God, I miss working on the roof!!

  • One of these carriers gets cut in half in the new Transformers trailer. But the JHMCS at 1:11 is pretty cool.

  • oi fuckin tree hugger if it wernt for these guys you wouldnt have a reason to live so shut the fuck up earth loving tree fuckin pillock

  • yeah

  • hey my computer has a wcam on it ne1 want to help me chat 6

  • Did you all see Bob Landing an Airbus on the USS Nimitz.....it is hillarious........on you tube. By the way, the mini series on PBS called CARRIER is going to be really good. I saw the preview show last Sunday night.

  • Now this is life!

  • Aaahhhh, sweet music.

  • Hmm, a You Tube vid without a mass of "War for oil" Comments. Very strange.

  • rofl

  • why is it strange??? everybody knows that...

  • Comment removed

  • @cjbarry92 I think you should grow a brain and go figure out how little of the oil the US produces/imports is actually used for making fuels. Most of it is used up by the medical and plastics industry as well as the automotive industry. If you really want to "stick it to the man" for his "war for oil", cancel your health care insurance, stop taking your meds, refuse medical care of any form, sell your car, and toss out anything made with plastics(oh wait, thats just about everything these days).

  • Dude it has been ranging between 1 and 2 years since my original comments and your commenting on them now??

Anyways, at the time of writing those comments I was being fed false information from biased teachers that were only giving us one side of the arguement, which I would like you to understand first, meaing that I was poorly informed on the topic.

I now realise how unjust my comments were regarding this specific issue and now am ashamed about what I wrote back then.

  • @capnapalm

These men risk their lives serving in the defense force, and deserve respect, instead of a high school student writing misinformed comments against them.

For the comments I made I strongly apologise and take back what I said, however, reading the comments made others and you quoting, "Your a self contradiction of pure stupidity," was, like my first comments, completely unnecessary.

  • @cjbarry92 So now you have no insurance, no pills to keep you BP down, no medical care for when you spike a 106 fever, no car to get you that 25 miles to work and own nothing made with or by plastics. Fairly soon you would realize how convenient oil products have made your sorry, miserable, life and wouldn't care so much if we take up 400 square feet of alaskan wilderness to perpetuate your comfortable style of life that you so much hate. Your a self contradiction of pure stupidity.

  • I miss the days of working the flight deck. Whizer is right, you should be thankful even if you don't support our war with Iraq.

  • This is the navy buddy... And you should be damn proud to live in a country that trains their military everyday. Wouldnt be albe to sit on your ass and play xbox or watch your youtube videos so shit the fuck up.

  • Hey you little douche bag cjbarry the US saved your little country 60 years ago and still defends it today. You don't have a clue as to what it takes to maintain readiness. My niece's husband is an F-18C pilot on Nimitz and risks his life for us ..AN YOU every time he shhots off her deck.Take your guitar and shove it up your ass...might (mate)

  • well.. if he is lucky enough to fly jets...

  • GO USA!!!!I LOVE MY COUNTRY

  • @imacgoo but a carrier needs a fleet of oilers and other support ships to refuel its air wing and those ships and planes run on oil.

  • @imacgoo i love your country too!

  • transition to superbugs complete, no tomcats around... nice recovery on Nr.3 wire..

  • cool
