  • looks like a lamborghini copy...

  • I wana Know why they had to mess up a Vector WX?

  • I think your company should try and make the first electric car that charges wireless. As in using charging pad technology like the cellphones and they have them for kitchen counter tops. Make a charging pad / docking station where all you do is park on top of the pad or the front bump touches the pad w/e. Then theres no wires no pluging in and un pluging no gas to burn or cach fire no smell of fuel on your hands. No dirt or stuff on the electric cord cuz theres no cords!!!!! its the future!!!

  • Check us out on twitter as electricEVette.

  • You can follow us on twitter now as electricEVette.

  • goood positive job ... kep on sharing : )

  • @armenchik1011 then you shouldnt worrie about calling an Electric car accelerator a gas pedal then (Y)

  • The technology is here, the automakers are just dragging there feet. Mainly due to oil companys influence

  • I just don't like the joystick, but I guess that can be easily fixed. Just have to install a steering wheel instead.

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo

Our vehicle is not like a Reliant Robin, it is not a traditional three-wheeler.

Go to our electricevette website to understand.

  • Im planning on making a 2002 Ford Focus into electric. Find one that doesnt run anymore (not uncommon at all) for about $2000 and just tear out everything toxic and convert! Then people wont say its terribly ugly (as much) Lol

If it turns out good or i feel i can improve upon it, ill see if i can find a 2000 Ford Ranger to make an electric truck with.

  • Hi, Yes its a kit, however its whats underneath that counts. Driving this car is like playing a video game.

  • Hi, Yes its a kit, however its whats underneath that counts. Driving this car is like playing a video game

  • Hey, this is awesome! Did it start as a Lamborghini kit car? ravasity.com

  • @sideslide23 Or a 1980 lambo body kit for a fiero/VW... which is most likely the case, you can get one for around $1500-$2500 i believe. Most bolt right on to the frame. Some cutting is involved on the fiero due to some kit models being larger than frame. but w/e lol

  • Evette, they build it out of the Lamborgini bodie cool, they should show this to Lamborgini make and maybee lamborgini might make their newer version.

  • @sideslide23 Its a kit car, not a real lambo. And he called it an EVette =S *shivers* Its not a vette at all. Its probably a fiero or jetta frame with a fiberglass shell on it. I would bet my bottom dollar.

  • @obeyance

The EVette is a ground up prototype, not a jetta or fiero.

  • Looks like he took a Countach frame and made it electric.

  • @jdawg00100 its a kit car, cheap fiberglass body parts.

  • And when you hit 88mph you can go back in time lol......!

  • I get 80mpg from my 25 year old street legal Honda Rebel, which I bought for $200. I love going to the gas station, I put $5 in when the person next to me is putting in $50. That $5 gets me 160 miles, about 3x what my car does. Best of all, its 10x simpler to work on than my car, everything is right out in the open, no problem with wrench clearances ever. Its so well designed and simple I can take the whole thing apart and put it back together. It'd take me four years to do that with a car.

  • reminds me of a lambo

  • Hi, To see more go to electricevette(dotcom

  • how does it accelerate? didn't c a gas pedal, just the two brakes

  • Joystick acceleration.

  • @armenchik619 LMAO only the Americans could say GAS PEDAL..

Here in the UK we call it, Accelerator.

  • pretty good for a prototype...

  • i cant picture driving on the highway with a joystick. it would kill my wrist having to be so steady with it for hours.

  • I hate the 3 wheel design where the front has one wheel. Put the single wheel at the back and steer with a steering wheel and then it'll be sweet. Completely unstable with a front single wheel. Imaging trying to turn sharply at 65mph in that thing. Bugger that.

  • @pathosbedlam

If you would put the single wheel in the back, it wouldn't be our concept, and a single wheel in the back has a huge problem, think fishtail. Why would you turn sharply at 65mph anyway?

  • $50,000 to $100,000? I'm sure most if not ALL will get a chance to enjoy the savings of fuel $ dollars at that price b/c ALL of us can afford it, right?

Why don't we all advocate the Venus project and drive, travel, eat, live & work without a price tag?

  • I want to know more about the truck

  • if only america payed the prices we payed here in the u.k they'd be clamouring for E.V cars

  • indeed :D i live in belgium the gas prices here ar CRAZYYY they don't know how it is over here ..

  • @tsuyagiku Yeah, I NEVER want to hear another American complain about "gas" prices again! Here in Ireland we pay €1:35 for a Liter of petrol, after working it and converting this to dollars per gallon I'm pretty sure that's around $6:30 or so a gallon! I wish they would stop complaining cause they don't have it badly at all

  • @eldictator1 I pay those prices and I would rather eat a serving of barb wire than a retarded Countach which seems more like a Reliant.

  • Hi, We just got new tires. you can see them at electric EVette frist video only

  • I like the car, but it seems strange to have truck tires on a sports car! Throws the whole thing off.

  • Lmao. He won't be selling any of those in Canada.

  • Check out our latest video using handlegrip steering controls, at electricevette(dot)com.

  • I'm glad to finally see an electric vehicle that looks somewhat sporty, besides the $90K Tesla Roadster. Even though the exhaust note will be gone, I hope they make electric Mustangs some day

  • Hi For the average car thats a three point turn.

  • Hi, the body is just an after thought. Its about whats underneath that counts.

this car will go farther on a charge.

  • Nice wpbf channel 25.

I live in WPB my self!

  • Hi, go to Electric EVette car drive by wire steering wheel. On youtube.

  • Anyone that things that hydrogen electrolysis is a feasible way to power a vehicle failed chemistry and thermodynamics. The differential drive steering is a nice concept but I'd think a joystick would be too touchy for anyone except an ex fighter pilot to use. I'd like to see it implemented in a steering wheel and the design moved away from a bad copy of an 80's Lamborghini.

  • Hydrogen=Heat of formation is -68.3 kcal/mole at 25C thats high. A biker with a beer will blow up.

  • What is the liter per minute consumption rate of hydrogen in these hydrogen cars???

How much liters per minute of hydrogen do these cars use in normal driving???

The device on my motorcycle produces over 40 liters per minute of hydrogen from water.

The device on my motorcycle also produces over 60 liters per minute of HHO gas from water. Is this enough hydrogen to run these cars??? Signed Norman Williams XMARINE. No joke!!!

  • Hi, Actually, this car is fun to drive and very easy to turn.

  • this would probably be the only rwd car that would understeer as bad as a fwd car.

  • Lol, 200 miles on 2$ charge :)

  • your a mechanical genius.great story and video.i like your car a lot better than the goverment motors(GM)chevy volt.who wants to pay 40 grand for something that makes a pinto look like a caddy?your ride is so cool.

the world needs more people like you and less people that throw sticks at people like you.

have you seen the lincvolt neil young is working on?its on youtube check it out.

many thanks to you and people like you for trying to make the world a better cleaner place.

  • Hi the steering is electronic(drive by wire)

  • Hi, the front wheel does not steer the car.

  • massive rearwheels but just one small ("ugly") frontwheel. i didn't get it. in all, good job.

  • i was thinking the same thing but i do like the ability to turn on a dime. I would say a better shell design where the front wheel is not visible would look better and maybe even make it more aerodynamic. I would love to submit some designs. I have never liked front wheels on a car as far as design goes.

  • Yes, a better shell design in front and even more aerodynamics, agreed, however, we'll have to hold a fundraiser first to get it.

  • @evelectric Shell or no shell, i am about free energy NOW, and the only way i see the viability of electric cars is if we have Wardenclyffe Towers and are harnessing the electricity around us for free, otherwise we are replacing one dependency for another.Fundraisers would not be necessary if we first learn to put are minds together for a better world, a world not dependent on the monetary system, until then its all posturing. I still wish you best of luck with your efforts.

  • Yes, we imagine a "beefier" type front wheel also, as an upgrade.

  • Hi, the car was named after my girl.

  • Hi, check out our latest website for people who are wheelchair bound at electric evette(dot)com. It will steer, accelerate, and brake with one hand. With easy access to the car.

  • Hi, Those tires grip the road I like them. The front tire is not really a load bearing wheel nor does it steer the car its electronic. As for speed, this car could easily develop 400hp or more with two 9" motors

  • I sort of agree with this. The rear tires just hurt since that is a lot of meat to be dragging along the road. I am sure you use them because of the 3 wheel setup, but that is a little dangerous considering people would most likely take this car on a high speed turn. Seeing how much it bounced on its u-turn, it looks like it would be pretty easy to lose control of. Good thing its top speed is only 60 though. Have you thought of 2 front tires instead?

  • The big issue with a car that has 4 wheels is that you have to pass all of the Government crash and safety ratings. On average, it will cost a company 20 million to pass a car. If the vehicle is 3 wheeled it is in the motorcycle class and is alot cheaper to make street leagal.

  • That's understandable. What I was asking about 2 front tires was having a single wheel on the back. But that would deal with a lot more work since you would need to add a steering column and basically re-work the entire design.

LIke I said though, the worst problem will be people taking turns too fast...look at the bad rap 3 wheel atvs got.

  • It would be better. I would be even better to make the vehicle a front wheel drive vehicle. Maybe two wheels up front with all the drive being upfront as well would help stableize the car enough.

  • maybe u already know but search for the 3 wheeled T-REX on here if you like. it has 2 front tires and one rear.

  • @UberFAKnNooB

This is a concept vehicle that is not built like a traditional 3-wheeler. Go to our website to understand.

  • @nicholasunruh

You are right, this is a BIG issue not to be overlooked, especially if you were thinking about manufacturing. I applaud this comment.

  • But he did make his own car. Did you make one? No? Didn't think so Mr. Troll.

  • actually me and a team of engineers at the university i attend are competing in the mini baja... so yes i have built a car.... well helped build a car

  • Then I take that back to an extent. But coming from someone that made their own car, you could choose more constructive comments than insulting his intelligence.

  • it was cruel... but think about it as constructive critisism

  • Hi, Check out our leatest youtbube video, EVette electric car drive by wire steering wheel.

  • it looks like a lambo

  • Hi, When people rode the horse and buggy I`m sure they thought Henry Ford`s gas car was very scary to. As it turns out I have not seen any horse and buggys lately

  • That car looks a ltitle dangerious. If it were me with the DOT I wouldnt make it street legal yet.

  • ooooooo

  • The electric EVette is all about getting you further down the road. It's lightweight, has a large battery capacity, and because it's so maneuverable, it saves energy even when making turns. All these things combined results in longer range. Not having to make a 3 point turn, and making quicker turns results in energy savings, giving you longer range also. For more info, go to electricEVette(dot)com.

  • Hi,

Here it is, the electric EVette 10 10 challenge, you can`t stay with in 10 feet of the electric EVette for 10 seconds. Here are the rules, conventional cars only , 4 wheels,12ft or longer, thats most cars. City street laws only, no speeding, no driving on the shoulder, no backing up except to turn around, no burning rubber,no driving on the wrong side of the road, two lanes only, in other words the way people drive every day.

  • =p yea right not anytime soon.... lol

  • sorry, this thing is a joke. the company burned its money. they should only concentrate on developing better solutions for engergystorage. everything else is just not a big problem anymore.

  • 3 wheels?

  • So awesome!

  • I don't know why you all bitch so much just buy an electric car from china, you can have 2 shipped for 10 grand. Course they can only go 45kmh and have a range of 70 kms but for 5 grand a piece I don't know why you would complain

  • How is it that some hicks can mass produce electric cars, but the automobile giants can't even make one final design car.

  • fuels = money money = power and the powers don't like free things, it makes them loose money.

electric cars were made in the 50's, and they were fast.

  • Boeing has been flying by wire for years,at hundreds of miles per hour, and thousands of feet high. Driving by wire at 60mph is doable, and saves alot of weight.

  • I wouldn't want to go 60mph in that thing.

  • hah before it top $3 its already topped $4 u can tell this an old vid

  • well we all know. soon as teh oil runs out >_> everyones gonna want one...

  • I want one now, but I wonder why not mass produce it.

  • fuels = money money = power and the powers don't like free things, it makes them loose money.

  • ...before it tops $3 dollars huh?

  • @a46475 ahahah $3 its closer to $5 now. ppf and im from canada where we pay $1.33L X4L = 1 gallon $5.32 for a smaller gallon as 4L is just under 1 US gallon.

  • rofl... gosh that was so long ago.

  • I want one!

  • If we all bought electric cars the Arabs wouldn't want to hold hands with Bush

  • There are a lot of electric cars out there that look and perform much more desirable than this one, but its still a good establishment

  • replacing batteries costs a fortune too

  • was that a lamborghini???

  • i think it's a lamborghini countach

  • A 3 wheels Lamborghini Countach! Why, oh why did he have to save 1 wheel?

  • Check out our latest video:

EVette electric car cruisin'down the road.

  • why are electric vehicles so expensive? If the car companies want the people to buy their cars they need to make at least a 5seater all electric car and drop the price tag and they should have at least a range of 100 miles or 300 miles per charge. For example the Tesla motors car is hellofa expensive, and it only has like 2 seats, but I heard that car can drive fast.

  • it wasnt so long ago in the uk when we were worried about when prices where creeping up to a £1 a litre. now its sky rocketed up to £1.37 making it $11 a gallon id give anything, well not anything but id love the price to fall to a sane level again. but with our pm its just going get worse. like england is on a whole

  • Since we're talking an electric car, i want a car with all the electronic bells and whistles, the true car of the future.

Over the past several months of looking into "alternative" fuel cars, i've seen about 20 different electric car designers around the world. China seems to be ahead of everyone, in so far as mass producing and putting a car ON THE STREET. So far. Nothing elegant, mind you, but they have a true electric car on the road already.

In the end "made in china" isn't so bad

  • Even if global warming isn't caused by co2 and methane, I'm sick of going outside and being assaulted by all the pollutants in the air that come from burning fossil fuels. This would also help decrease our dependence on foreign oil, which, in my opinion, puts us in entangling foreign alliances. Electric cars are the furture, and if you don't get with it, you and your gas guzzlers are gonna be left in the dust.

  • I saw that car at the Green Exo

  • IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF THEY CAN MAKE IT like the car on irobot. LOL but i know it might be impossible.

Anyways for this car,I think they shouldve made it still 4 wheeled running on electricty, keeping the steering wheel, since it seems pretty hard to precisely go on a turn u want.

  • The EVette body is a replica 1988 Lambo Countach kit that was modified to fit the chassis. Ideally, we vision making the front narrower and shorter to better fit the

3 wheeled design. We need a talented fiberglass mechanic to do that, and more money.

  • 120v 500amp speed controller.

  • I just laughed...and cried on the inside...when the lady said gas could top $3 a gallon in the beginning... I'm in the east bay area in California and we're at $4.77 and 9/10s for 91 octane.

  • looks like a lambo countach

  • See our latest video:

    EVette electric car prototype

  • This auto/cycle is all about saving energy, because it's lightweight and highly maneuverable, it allows you to make turns w/o wasting energy. This is not your ordinary 3 wheeler, the front wheel does not steer the vehicle nor is it a load bearing wheel, and with its low center of gravity, it will not flip over while making a turn. It also has a large battery capacity, all this combined gives you longer range and that's what all EV's are trying to get, further down the road.

  • Interesting story. Wish the picture was better though.

  • This video was taken from a VHS tape, so yes, it could be better. See our latest video, electric EVette, that we captured in Orlando after a 4 day expo event.

  • Looks like Wiegert Vector

  • The reason for the joystick is probably because he used a controller from an electric wheelchair, that would also explain the TWO foot pedals for brakes to separate wheels. The front wheel is probably mounted like a swiveling grocery cart front wheel.

I don't like hearing the insults, if you did a better job with YOUR electric car, let's see some constructive comments, otherwise drive away in your gas hog.

The joy stick is better than a steering wheel through your chest in a collision anyway.

  • Your constructive comment is appreciated.

The joystick is not from a wheelchair, but is our own fabricated design. The joystick works very well, however, we now have 2 handgrip controls that vary the potential energy to each main wheel.

The dual brakes make it more maneuverable. We're thinking of adding a single pedal to push both simultaneously.

Front wheel is a swivel, free wheeling wheel.

We're working on a steering wheel type model for those of you who can't get w/ the joystick.

  • lol $3

    its at like 5 now

  • EV's aren't about saving money or the planet. Eventually we probably won't be able to buy oil as readily as we could only 5 years ago. Electric cars make use of a cheaper and more efficient source of energy. Combustion engines are an absolute joke in terms of efficiency. You might as well create a petrol-fired hot air balloon. hahaha

  • You pollute to create hydrogen cars. Whatever the car does not pollute as the finished product all the pollution is taken care of in the manufacturing process of creating the hydrogen energy source because there is no natural hydrogen so it must be created by breaking the water chemistry which it needs a lot of energy . In that case you are using so much energy which is a waste and end up not making any progress. Solar, wind and hemp for energy but not waste the energy on hydrogen.

  • How can anyone on Youtube be taken seriously if they can't spell? Am I the only one that thinks this? Oh, by the way, hydrogen cars work well and EM cars do too. Let's work together to prove the skeptics wrong and get them rolling now! Anyone with me?

  • The Tesla is obviously a more pretty car. But for homemade it's not that bad... better than most converted kits. The three wheel system with that body... not so good. I can't wait till the electric smart cars arrive.

  • Yea..and hes hoping in the near future to make the Tesla even affordable to us common folk. Right now the Roadster is a "Test" to see how well his ideas will pan out for the future.

  • um.. for 1, this car looks amazing. and 2, who gives a crap about their looks? i'd drive a shoebox if it was economical and safe. want something to be beautiful? buy your girlfriend a makeover. the joystick is a bit moronic.. while this design may not be for everyone, atleast someone is trying. instead of just driving their Hummer around and hoping the problem fixes itself.

  • is this a car that was designed by you or it was a replicant of the lambo?

  • A lot of electric vehicle inventors are doing 3-wheeled vehicles because they are considered "motorcycles" and there are a lot less safety regulations to comply with.
