The poem really good, you would be far more affective if you worked on your diction because I struggled to understand some of what you said..... The video :-/... lol I enjoyed the poem a lot better when i didnt watch the video.... it was comedic and kind of didnt fit the tone of the poem

i don't know which account you check more, so here>> excellent concept. people tend to want to live the "resurrected" life (which is all good), but forget to also reach back and liberate those who are oppressed and are still living on the "suffering and death" side of the crucifixion. question though, why would God need a gun? and why the candle and different camera angles? this is a great poem and i sincerely think that the visuals are somewhat distracting, taking away from your message.

Not hating, just giving honest feedback. This poem has potential. However,there's no dressing up the truth. If your words were cohesive and rang true, you wouldn't need the theatrics. Being a poet is something you are, live, breathe, not a show. This may fly as poetry on MTV, but at a slam or Def jam venue, this will hardly compare to the other talented poets like Shihan, In-Q, Sekou (tha Misfit), Javon Johnson, etc. etc. Think about what message you're trying to send, and let your words evolve.

I think you have an interesting idea but like some others say here, it does need to be made plainer. Many of your words are hard to understand. I heard some good stuff though but I don't believe the message if you are saying that we are gods too. Although, it is ironic to me that someone once wrote a song about "What if God was one of us?" when the truth of the matter is: He actually had been and they didn't know it.

You misinterpret what he said. He is refering to the fact that Jesus lives in all of us and we have the oppertunity to be like him. So when we go hungry, then God goes hungry, when we die it is as if God dies with us, but it is only a transition. Remember in the bible when Jesus returns he tells his followers when I was hungry you feed me, he is refering to that concept. Look at the ending he said "God may have died but is not dead."

God was/is not dead because of this dude's "lack of faith" but because God CHOSE to die for you and i DUE TO the suffering and oppression of God's people for the sake of liberation and everlasting life. Remember those 2000 years ago on the cross at Golgotha (which the poet in fact references)? And if you listen, he states God is NOT dead, but does die everyday so that we can live on, just as God through Jesus did on the cross for us to have everlasting life...
