The OT laws were for the jews and Jesus at his coming fullfilled the mosaic law with love and Godliness. We have one book the bible while u muslims have two books the quraan and the hadith. When christ came he fullfiled the law by saying instead of an eye for an eye turn the other cheek and forgive and love ur enemy. The bible is a collection of books handed down to the prophets of God. Actually the translations of the quraan are brought down a notch from the arabic becuz some verses of the quraan are absurd. Sura 4:34 say in "adribouhounna" which is from the arab word "daraba" meaning Strike or hit them. It says nothing abotu a tap on a shoulder its says "STRIKE". And why the hell would u tap them on the shoulder and how hard is the tap?
@ouwat4life If u read arabic sura 4:34 sounds even worst then the english translations.The english translators tone it down a bit by saying like this "[first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. " notice the words in brackets those dont exsist in the arabic quraan read it without the words in brackets and that how it should be read. The arabic quraan advises to do all three together not praticularly if one doesnt work then do the other.

It is not modest to talk of their beautiful faces. They must never draw any attention to physical beauty. This is for husband only. They must not adorn themselves to make themselves more beautiful for everyone. Inner beauty is all. This is done for something greater than 'prettiness'. This is the reason to cover - it is modesty - not superficial titillation. This is what disturbs me about Islam and covering. We cannot have it both ways. I see too many women in hijab wearing make-up , etc.

@halam1 All the verses u cherry pick and quote for me do nothing but prove the trinity. they talks about the father and the son and the holy spirit. But when i get a verse from the quraan which is as clear as the blue sky u say i need a scholar!! HAHA u muslims always say that. S4:34 orders the man TO STRIKE THE WOMAN IF DISOBEDIENT. U DONT NEED A FREAKING SCHOLAR TO TRANSLATE THE WORD "ADRIBOUHOUNA" which clearly means strike or beat them. It doesnt explain how hard or soft so stop lying .

@halam1 Muslims quote hebrew 5:7 and say look God saved Jesus from death as the muslims claim!! so what do we do with the 100 other verses proving Jesus died and rose on the third day? do we throw them out? and if we changed the bible as u claim dont u think we would have removed hebrews 5:7 if it worked against us? Hebrews 5:7 is saying that God saved jesus from death by raising him from death read hebrews 5:8 to get ur answer"Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered"

@halam1 If Jesus was just a prophet he wouldnt call God his father. No other prophet dared to call God his father but Jesus did it all the time. I'll give a human example maybe u would understand. you and your father and your mother make ONE FAMILY even tho ur father is higher in authority then u it doesnt make u less human then he is. If the son looks up to the father in the God head it doesnt make the son less God but he is necessary in Gods work. Jesus is called God many times in the bible

@halam1 u know if ur gonna quote me from the bible why dont u understand what the rest of it says. When we say Jesus is God we are not saying that he is the father. U quoted john 1:18 for me. Didnt u notice how it calls Jesus God too? God's oness is not in his person but its his unity. God is not limited to one body or person. God exsists in the form of Father son holy spirit. So when Jesus says the father is greater then i he is talkin of authority wise but they are both God in nature

who is this father son and holy ghost? its no other then the one true God. John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, "I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. The oneness of God doesnt mean he is One person becuz we Know God isnt a person in nature but decided to become in form of a man that we know as the messiah or jesus christ. Jesus was in everyway God as his father and he said it and the prophets wrote about. I will quote to u verses where Jesus speaks with the auhority of the one and only God.

@halam1 The quraan u have today is the one caliph uthman kept after burning all the rest contradicting versions. How can u say u have the original quraan when the original arabic did not even have vowel signs. In arabic the word can mean different things by just changing the vowel signs. How did calip uthman know that the quraan he kept was the right one revealed? u guys are just blind when it comes to asking questions about ur own faith but are quick to point fingers at others

@halam1 How many different versions was the quraan revealed in lets use ur own hadtih for proof. When two men argued about how a certain sura should be recited becuz they both recited it different they came in anger to ask mohammed where he replied..."This Quran has been revealed to be recited in SEVEN different ways, so recite it which ever way easier for you." (See Hadith No. 514 Vol. 6) Vol. 9 - Apostates - Chapter 9 27/30)

@halam1 By different versions u must mean translations. There are different translations of the bible. Different translations but same meaning. We have one book the bible while u muslims have two books the quraan and the hadith. Most of muslims traditions come from hadith and not from the quraan. the quraan was so incomplete the muslims rely on a different book the hadith which is not even written by prophets but simple men not even inspired by God's spirit.

so does this wound like self defense to u? were the pagans not attacking the muslims during the holy months? this verse tells me the muslims were on the offensive if they could take a break during holy months

@halam1 How do u claim the words of God handed down to the prophets as being corrupted when ur quraan says no one can change the word of God and that he is watcher over his word.6:34 Rejected were the apostles before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: THERE IS NONE THAT CAN ALTER THE WORDS(and decrees) of Allah.

@halam1 Exodus was the law givin to moses 1000-1500 years before christ. When christ came he fullfiled the law by saying instead of an eye for an eye turn the other cheek and forgive and love ur enemy. The bible is a collection of books handed down to the prophets of God. U cannot say u beleive in all prophets while u claim their teachings as being corrupt. U believe is moses as a prophet by say we corrupted his teaching which God promised to watch over.

@halam1 u are confusing ur self halam. So are u telling me the quraan can only be understoof by scholars? all muslims say that when faced with questions. Did the god of the quraan only wanted to target those highly educated and scholars to understand his word but came to an illeterate prophet? The verse says Beat i dont it does not say where or how hard. This is again another verse in the quraan which each person can translate the way they want.

@halam1 Now halam u say the quraan doesnt not allow husband to hit their wives. I read arabic and i dont rely in tranlations. Actually the translations of the quraan are brought down a notch from the arabic becuz some verses of the quraan are absurd. Sura 4:34 say in "adribouhounna" which is from the arab word "daraba" meaning Strike or hit them. It says nothing abotu a tap on a shoulder its says "STRIKE". And why the hell would u tap them on the shoulder and how hard is the tap?

@ouwat4life If u read arabic sura 4:34 sounds even worst then the english translations.The english translators tone it down a bit by saying like this "[first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. " notice the words in brackets those dont exsist in the arabic quraan read it without the words in brackets and that how it should be read. The arabic quraan advises to do all three together not praticularly if one doesnt work then do the other.

@halam1 It's very dangerus for a book such as the quraan to teach war tactics and how u should take revenge on ur enemy if ur religion is attacked. The taliban think their actions are justified becuz islam teaches them to defend islam and they are doing so becuz to them USA is an enemy of islam that supports the jews and occupies the arab lands. A book from God should not contain such verses becuz it should know ppl will justify their actions by them. Instead it should teach forgiveness

@halam1 When Jesus came to earth he knew how ppl were and that they already had hate and full of rage so he taught ppl forgiveness. So he taught the opposite he said instead of cursing and killing ur enemy love him and pray for him instead. Thats why u see most christians arent so quick to react when they are attacked but ar emore humble and forgiving but as soon as u attack islam in anyway the whole muslim world goes into a rage and start killing and burning. example is danish cartoons

@halam1 I was born in the middle east and arabic is my mother tongue. Im not getting these views from the west but we knew these before 9/11 becuz we grew up around muslims and islam. The west is just starting to realize what kind of religion islam is. Look if so many ppl are mislead by this religion then its a problem with the religion. When the quraan orders its believers to kill and attack and take revenge then this is y u see so many ppl translationg the verses the way they want.

A nun has commited her life to serving God but look at 90% of the muslim woemn who wear the hijab. its become more of a fahion statement for muslim women then relgiously. they wear flashy colored hiajbs with make up on their face eyes brown plucked tight jeans and high heals! they attract more men that way then not wearing the hijab. @halam1 and islam gives women its rights? go take a look in saudi arabia which suppose to be the mother of islam. Women cant drive or be independent. Women cover up while the men walk around freely. The quraan orders the men to beat his wife if she is dissobediant or to cut her off from sex LOL.[4:34] The men are made responsible for the women.... If you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then deserting them in bed, then you may beat them.

I dont mind the hijab so much but wtf is it with girls looking like a bunch of fuckin ninjas. Islam is a religion built on male dominance and treats the woman like an animal. God gave us faces so we can tell one person from the other and communicate. How is a guy suppose to marry a girl without seeing her face?
