Oh my God...I was just listening to this while looking at the lyrics and it fucking hit me. .it's about the Holocaust. the speaker of this song is a prisoner at Auschwitz ("work will set you free", one of the lines that the lead singer says, was the camp's motto). the speaker is about to go into the gas chamber, where prisoners were told that they were taking showers, that they could "get clean." hence the line "try not to breathe" because of the gas. my God...
