Yss,that disease causes a person's brain to shrink. It's very scary.A smaller brain results in a gradual loss of nerve cells, and the person becomes senile from loss of memory.A medicine has already been invented which can delay the progress of the disease. But that means it only slows down the process of decay. It cannot prevent nerve cells from dying.Reseachers across the world are now racing to develop a next-generation drag.
Hey guys for this cool project that someone has done to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease. Quite interesting things. Just thought I'd share it with you all. It is the sortmeout.sg
she is worrying so much about the smallest things and has a hard time figuring them out. Can someone tell me when about she will die? or become really lost and has those majure mood swings? i've been searching for info the whole night...
i'm so sad... i'm 16 and i have 2 smaller sisters, my mom is 51 and i found out a week ago my mom has had alzheimer for some time now, don't know how long. (my english is not so good). she told me because i had been getting mad at her because she couldn't remember anything(her effects are getting very bad), i thought it was just because she didn't care to listen. Now only today i searched more info and found out that it is deadly... she is in the logical part now, everythign is so hard for her.
I love this video. Explains it perfect. My great grandmother suffered this disease and we watched her suffer this for 8 years. It was sad cause we were best friends, then one day she was calling me my dads name, heartbreaking... Most screwed up disease out there!

@ivaniatrans I think it's one if not the worst disease a person can get :( It's especially hard for the people around the Alzheimer patient. Two of my grandparents has it.
@SentaiFilmworks he kills you,slowly...But its one of the worst deseases a person can have cuz its uncurable and when you have it,you lose your life. You can't remember who you are and you don't have any past memories...

wow. be grateful for what you have, imagine that you cant remember anything in the past few hours, but you know its there but you just cant get it out. :(
My grandmother was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease today, a few days ago she was having a conversation with someone who's been dead for 30 years. Frightening to see what this disease can do...
Last month I had a few drinks with some work buddies, & I decided we should play a trick on my Father-in-Law (who has Alzheimer’s).
We turned up at his house & the guys pretended to be UN Criminal Court Officers, here to interrogate him over the killing of civilians in Vietnam. The old guy fell for it completely- we questioned him for over 2hrs & he was a total shivering wreck when we left!
He talks about the incident, but my wife just thinks it’s his persecution paranoia getting worse.
@SuperTruth77 You are disgusting, wasting the air humans breathe. Tormenting your own wifes father... ugh, I don't even want to waste my breathe with you, it'll be better used to pray for your wifes father...
@SuperTruth77 ayo, you need some god in your life bro. If you morals would allow you to do something like that, you need jesus. He says he came for the sick (like you), so search for him. Telling you now dude, search, and you better..you've been warned, not a good warning, but what else can i say from behind a computer, because jesus said to speak to people, and if they accept, awesome, and if they don't, life sucks for them
My grandmother suffered with this disease for 20 years. It's very uncommon to live that long with the disease so we watched at an agonizingly slow pace, this disease destroy her life. The stages lasted longer than normal so it was a very long drawn out process for her and for us. The last few years were spent in a nursing home. She really made it to the end of this disease, she couldn't walk, swallow and finally she couldn't breathe. There needs to be more funding to finding a cure.
My grandmother is dying of this, she's in the very final hours of life. She's been sleeping since last Tuesday. That was the last time she ate or drank. She's barely breathing. It's been difficult, but the end hasn't been so dramatic for the family since we have been dealing with her dying inch by inch for about 10 years. It's one of the worst diseases possible. We need to help fund the scientific research that is working to understand and stop this absolutely horrid and slow death sentence.
Actually some people with alzheimer's disease can live very long and some very short. keep in mind many people don't go to the later stages of A.D becuase they end up dieing from something else or natural causes. If you do manage to live long enough though, you might experience forgetfullness like knowing how to talk and eat like in the video.

do you know the plant called "MORINGA OLEIFERA " mostly called "THE TREE of LIFE".. I'm just a student of care giving here in Philippines, who is learning and studying about this Alzheimer's disease. The leaves of the Moringa are among the most protein - dense leaves of any species, and contain every essential amino acid required for a whole source of protein. Doctors and Nurses won't help much, because all they want is your money in the end. Just change your diet and the way you eat...add in more fruits and vegetables to your diet on a daily basis....read my last post, and that will give you a good description on what to do.
You really are what you eat and that is the truth right there...Fish, Blueberries, Strawberries, Green Tea, Spinach, Broccoli, Apples, beans, and certain types of nuts have powerful Antioxidants that keep the brain healthy and your entire body.
You have to eat some of these foods consistently everyday to stop the progression...if you can do this, it will really help out a lot. The Choice is yours though! I'm not forcing you to change your current diet.
We can fight this disease together. Did you know that by 2050, more than 15 million people in our nation are projected to suffer from and eventually die from Alzheimer's disease? Starting as young as in one's 30s, anyone can be affected by this terrible disease which prematurely steals away one's mind and memories. Donate to the leading sponsor of Alzheimer's disease research and care - the Alzheimer's Association - today at this link. Thank you so much :)
Early Onset Alzheimer's is a curable disease. Don't be fooled, not just for the elderly, Alzheimer's is an equal opportunity killer...my own Mother diagnosed at the age of 52. As an advocate, I know of even earlier ages of people who have developed the disease. It's a puzzle that we are on the brink of solving. Go to Alz . org, and click on Advocate, for your way to help by simply using your voice. Hey, you even get emails from Congress! I thought that was kinda cool...
My grandmother have this shity desiease first sings has manifest 10 years ago some light demention, now shes not capeble to do anything I see that emptynes in shes eyes,...I hope our rase will find the cure someday...
my great grandmother had this desiease i watched as the disease grew inside her and i was there when she died too she wa shooke dup to a breathing machine in my grandmas house and then she passed away god love her, shes in a better place now at least and dosnt have to suffer anymore
I've only known two of my grandparents and both of them suffered/suffer from severe Azheimer's. It was/is tough to watch them fade away. Few months before my grandpa died, I was crying beside him. He didn't know a thing of what was happening, who I was. He was some sort of a plant. And then he looked at me and whiped my tears with his finger. A moment I will treasure.
Holy hell.... I looked this up because I was asked to perform at a living home for people with a Alzheimer's. I didn't feel i knew enough about it so i looked it up.. this is what I found and that's so scary!
9 year old bulgarian girl with red hair and blue eyes was diagnosed with primordial dwarfism and early childhood alzheimers disease meaning niemann pick type c that caused her to not remember things and words that she lost her memory but she cant talk
alzheimer's disease is not just for old people but young people get the alzheimers disease
Check out Music & Memory! We use personalized music to aid those with alzheimers and other diseases! Check out our youtube channel at user/MusicandMemory1
It's possible that my dad has this disease. Just heard the bad news yesterday and I don't know what to think. I've never been close to him but I never wanted him to have a horrible disease. I feel pretty empty but I guess it's better I never got close to him because in that case this would have affected me more.
Here at Evangelical Homes of Michigan, we provide comprehensive Alzheimer's Care to patients through our Memory Support Center in Saline near Ann Arbor. We believe in providing support to our residents and families, and hope to provide them with excellent care while doctors and researchers look for a cure. Thank you for this video.
@padude64 actually its the left wing dirty bastards that are fucking everything up, so fuck you, learn both sides of the argument before you open your vagina
Okay people I would like to ask you all one question how do you know your love one has this awful horrible disease? Did you know that the only way they know for sure it is Alzheimer's is after death when they go in and cut the brain up. So how do they know its Alzheimer's. I'm going to try to save you a lot of pain and suffering and especially your loved one, with the disease. Did you ever wonder if it was something else? It just might be. A lot of things cause those symptoms.
Mother diagnosed at the age of 48. There are early onset forms of the disease that are a genetic disability. The best advice for any of you is to do the best you can to care for your affected loved ones, and prepare for a time where it will be too much of a burden for you or family members to handle- you may need to put them in a retiree home. This is a very sad time but you must come to accept it or the trauma on you will be very damaging as well.
Thanks for this film. I have watched it several times. It helps me get beyond my sadness every time I watch it and it makes me realize that ALZ, like all other terminal diseases, is relentless but that I am not alone as a care giver or a grieving relative. I just wish there was a way for us to truly know what they were thinking and feeling so we could put them more at ease. So that we could somehow relieve the ungodly pain they must feel.
@MrWonnabee lol god must of looked at ur grandma and thought "fucking hell shes ugly, i know ill invent a funny disease called alzheimers which makes her even uglier then kills her" hahaha
@WolveLoverTienemien there is no way for him to remeber yall..trust me..both of my grandparents on my father side of the family died from it between Dec.2008(grandfather)May 2009(grandmother)..Its very painful and sad that they didnt recoginze me as their grandson before they died and I get all my looks from them..I felt depressed and very sad because this trait can affect me or my kids for the rest of my life..I hope by any chance that you continue to support your father as well as family
@WolveLoverTienemien My mother has an early onset form of AD, diagnosed at the age of 48. There is yet to be a cure, and most medications that slow the process vary in performance. I dont want to ruin your esteem but so far there is yet to be any help for any of us. If you want some advice of how to cope with the trauma of having a family member with this disease please message me on yahoo.
@WolveLoverTienemien People said my mum would forget me but my mum never did because I played a constant part in my mums life! Right till the very end my mother nerve forgot me. :O) I was my mums primary care :O)
@WolveLoverTienemien Sadly There Is No Way To Stop This, In Our Time. It Would Take About 30 Or So Years Before They Find a Cure. . . This Is Why I Want To Be A Doctor when I'm Older, Well. An Architect Too. If your Lucky.. (5% Chance) That They'd Find The Cure Before Your Father Dies ... I'm Afraid your out of luck, god bless you ):
@WolveLoverTienemien Just keep on loving him, see him daily if you don't want him to forget you, and love him when he doesn't recognize you -- keep coming back. Imagine how scary it is for him to be dependent on caretakers he doesn't know anymore -- he'll need the security he can trust you. Be careful of institutional living. Give him good nutrition, if he can walk / exercise and engage in social activities, do more of this! Just returned from Internat. Alz. Research conference - hang in th
@WolveLoverTienemien my dad also has this.....he is at the stage where dosent control his moods...its .... but thankfully hes mostly happy i hope they find a cure soon..i didnt know it could lead to death ........love you dad <3

Would voluntary euthanasia be a solution or a problem? Just imagine, if you
decide to bump off your granny, you leave an empty bed for the hospital to
rent out to the next victim of some horrible disease. God, being an American
Republican - bless His little heart - would, no doubt, approve. So why not put
it to the vote? Admittedly, only HALF the electorate would turn out to vote
anyway. But let's vote Yes of No, shall we? I humbly await your
replies. Yours sincerely in Christ. Des.

Americans think more of a dollar bill than they do of a human. When they die,
they cannot take their money with them. They THINK they can. They seem
to worship Mammon instead of Allah/God The Father/Creator, call Him what
you will. This greenback bill will get you nowhere. Share it with others. Buy
food for them. But do NOT purchase alcohol because this is what keeps
the poor poor!

would that not put the pills-and-tablets people out of business?I mean, if we could
ALL be cured of everything, all these apirin companies would fold up. THINK
ABOUT IT. These companies don't want to cure everyone, now do they? Look
at all the money the Taxman would lose in taxes!! THINK AGAIN ABOUT THESE

more money for relief. TEMPORARY!!

@Mr.Wonnabee
Doctors and Nurses won't help much, because all they want is your money in the end. Just change your diet and the way you eat...add in more fruits and vegetables to your diet on a daily basis....read my last post, and that will give you a good description on what to do.
EricSchwin22 6 months ago
@WolveLoverTienemien

It's possible that my dad has this disease. Just heard the bad news yesterday and I don't know what to think. I've never been close to him but I never wanted him to have a horrible disease. I feel pretty empty but I guess it's better I never got close to him because in that case this would have affected me more.

A lot of things cause those symptoms.
noejones 9 months ago

@MrWonnabee For the governments old people are useless. They don't want to waste money on new technology for old people.
They want the old - wise - people dead.
So, you'll have to find the cure.
A tip.. Get a notebook, stick some photos of your family, name them. Give it to grandma and let her watch it.
