Owning Optimus Prime was a double edged sword. He was an AWESOME toy, but if you were an irresponsible kid( like most of us were) and you lost his hands, he was a worthless amputee robot.

All i wanted as a kid was Star Wars toys when i was really little then when these came out they were all i wanted lol. I had a huge collection by the time i was an adult and had them on display and kept them in mint condition, then got tight for money one day and sold them all on ebay for probably 5 grand total. Totally wish i didn't do that now and could still have them on display. But what i can't get over is how these dumb commercials got me so excited to buy these things it's hilarious!!

Omega Supreme cost me a fortune even with a huge price break and took me forever to save for as a kid and let me tell ya...he SUCKED to transform! Wasn't one piece with moving parts. Was actually a bunch of pieces that snapped together. Not something you transformed often! My little nephew was in complete awe of it when I showed him all my transformers a few weeks ago. I was in awe of MYSELF that I actually remembered how to put the f---ing thing together!

I used to get so amped up watching these commercials... I probably looked just as intense as kids in them. They seem kind of crappy now, but back then I wanted all these toys so bad. Devestator and Blaster are standing on top of my computer hutch right now actually. The first generation Transformers (the ones in these commercials) are my favorite toys of all time, hands down.

Yeah, I have the 20th Anniversary DVD set of the movie and they do have some of these commercials in the special features. The good thing about those is that the kids faces are blurred out.

I think it's to avoid lawsuits from the kids themselves, who are now all basement dwellers well into their 30's.
