  • Oh, and by the way, djfakt -- talk about the pot calling the kettle, "black!" Um, perhaps you meant to type ". . . or *some* *similar* jive," rather than the BARBARIC phrase you chose, "something [sic] similarly [sic] jive." Talk about SICK, SICK, SICK!!!

  • MESSAGE TO djfakt: KISS OFF!!!! I'm entitled to express my opinion on one of my favorite *escape films.* The style in which "Pillow Talk" was produced and directed seems to be a lost art, these days. The chemistry between all of the actors and the perfect timing with which they deliver their lines is simply a joy to see -- for ME, anyway!

  • beautiful. doris day is wonderful.

  • Doris Dayn sewdat Ageren tastwsegnalech.

  • Thelma Ritter steals this one! A classic!

  • This is my ALL-TIME favorite comedy. Good, CLEAN fun (but sexy at the same time). The dialogue is filled with tongue-in-cheek, double entendres. Doris Day, ROCK HUDSON, Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter at their ab-so-lute best!!!

All of the above, PLUS the BONUS of title song (and another short little number, in the movie itself) sung by the multi-talented Doris Day!

  • So is mine. And I agree with everything you say. Good time when eyes and behavior could say a lot more than mere plain words would - with class and desirable sophistication! Thanks and best wishes.

  • @Jaimebugs Good, clean, wholesome fun, eh?! SHUT UP with that nonsense!..Go read the lie-filled bible or something similarly jive.

    Also, your punctuation is neanderthal.

  • excelente, me recuerda las fiestas de los 60

  • BEST DORIS DAY MOVIE EVER!!!!!

  • @tamerswan yes.

  • a great vegan!!!

  • I still love to watch these delightful comedies. It is funny to look back at what was considered quite racey in their day. Thanks for posting this!

  • I like this movie and song:)

  • Love this movie and the song. Wish they made more movies like this today!

  • Will you upload the remaining movie? Its a great love of mine as well, in fact any movie with her and Hudson

  • I love you Rock! RIP i always loved you and hope you are in a better place

  • i don't care if rock hudson was gay he was gorgeous, and doris day is adorable, they were so cute together,

  • @appleandhoneyspice I couldnt agree more :)

  • the old films were great they could act and no smut

  • HI ....This was one of the first films that my mother took me to see at the afternoon show in at our local `Essoldo`cinema..luv`d it then at the tender age of 6 yrs..one of many great collaborations between them..good memories...thanks for posting.....: )

  • Hi! Glad you've enjoyed it. That's one of my favorites too. Just love multi-talented Doris Day. Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks so much! This movie was hysterical and like someone else said, there will never be another Doris Day.....

  • Rock was a hottie! Love you Rock! Rest in peace.

  • Great idea to use the commercial recording of Pillow Talk instead of the soundtrack from the film. By the way, I also adore Doris Day. I get quite frustrated when people come up to me and tell me that Miss So and So is a great actress, a diva, this and that... It seems like today everybody is a diva and they all get Oscars. Gimme a break! DD is the ultimate star, actress and singer. She's done everything from comedy to drama to musicals and done them all great. No bitch today can compare!

  • There'll never be another Doris Day!

  • You bet! I quite agree with you among so many who also agree with you.

  • It's sad to see that people just NEED to say something about gay actors. Just watch the movie and have some fun

  • God i love Doris Day. She makes me happy every time i see her.

  • Im sorry but im gay and im in love with rock hudson so bad

  • my most fav character was the drunken old lady.

  • We ALLLL love Doris Day..

  • This film is hilarious! Love it!

  • Loved this movie and Doris Day

  • Thanks for sharing...........I love it..........

  • Doris Day was nominated for an oscar for best actress for this movie.

  • That's right. And she should have been awarded. My favorite movie of her ever among many terrific ones. I'll include your info. Thanks.

  • there must!

  • A great opening to a great film! Doris was such a star!

  • Actually, this is a recording, not the introduction; the introduction included four rhythmic hand claps.

  • This movie is the best.. this is the way I always dreamed my life to be, living in NYC, a fabulous career, a great apartment and hot men to date.. this movie is tops!!! Doris Day is the best

  • IF maureen ohara wanted to call somebody gay--she should look at rock hudson

  • IF MAUREEN

  • one of my favorite movies and im 14!! its a great movie and it always will be

  • Tony Randall was not gay.

Randall was married to Florence Gibbs from 1942 until her death from cancer in 1992. He remarried on November 17, 1995 to Heather Harlan, an intern in one of his theatrical programs. At the time, Tony was 75, Heather 25. The couple subsequently had two children, Julia Laurette Randall (b. 1997) and Jefferson Salvini Randall (b. 1998), and they remained married until his death in 2004.

  • I don't know what made you and others explain here on Tony Randall as the talk has always been on Mr. Hudson who publicly made known his homosexuality. Anyway, thanks.

  • i saw this movie with my girlfriend now my wife for 44 years thanks

  • I love it!!!

  • One of my favorite movies ever. The perfect film to watch when you need a break from "reality." Especially funny to watch two gay actors (Rock and Tony) competing to win over Doris Day. Even funnier, gay actor Rock in a role as a big studly straight man, playing gay for a few scenes in the movie. And Thelma Ritter was at her all-time best!

  • You're right! I never thought of that that way. A lot funnier now when I think. Thanks.

  • tony randall was not gay i do not believe.

  • Tony randall --he is not gay

  • Made at a time love & comedy movies were meant to entertain. And they did. Today they will upset you instead with their lack of imagination and imitating the old ones. Thanks for your comment.

  • This movie was made before I was born, but it is timeless and so adorable! Thanks for the great clip!
