  • The strumming pattern is simply alternating bass notes with a down strum in between in 4/4 time.

  • You've got a great cowboy song voice my friend, so this is really good video, your brain seems to be getting used to the chord shapes and the quick changes in a couple more months you will find it will just all click into place. If you ever play the guitar like you do the accordian then you'll be the next Jimmy Hendrix.

  • hey man thats pretty good first your first guitar. i've been playing for 3-4 years and i have had a couple of lessons but i taught myself how to play the guitar. check out some more johnny cash songs, most of his songs have the same beat to them and they are easy to play. good luck.. oh and i know a fair amount of cash's songs... so... if dont be afraid to email me for some advise or something...
