@150peacemaker no, I believe the viper was, and the vette was made to turn sharply on tracks such as the nurburgring. Vipers are all torque, and drift really well. Vettes got the hp, and have better handling. I would like to say, I like dodge, chevy, and ford. I love vipers, vettes #2-tied with mustangs. Viper, Vette, Mustang.

I own a base Corvette with 530 hp and the reason I did not buy the.viper, besides the bigger price tag, is because its a raw hp beast....which scares the shit out of me. At least in my car with traction control off I have a computer monitoring the system thousands of times a sec.....but the bigger cubes makes me jealous. I will say a canned v8 is better than a cammed v10. But best believe if Chrysler group LLC refines their new viper coming out guess who'll buy it...ME.

I've always been a Corvette fan.. however I can never truthfully say that they are better in terms of speed than Vipers.. stock Vipers are faster than stock Vettes , and apparently from looking at this video supercharged vipers are faster too.. Corvettes in my opinion look slightly better than Vipers ( I own a Vette myself) but the better thing about Vipers is that, fewer people have them,..... that makes Vipers get more attention. Mustang owners look up to us though =D

More power does not necessarily mean easier to drift, compared to say an S15 this Viper is quite a bit more difficult, Sam has said this himself. Also when it comes to drifting higher power with more wheel spin does not mean you will be faster, you need grip kid. Motor size does not win drift battles, its common sense I thought.

You obviously don't understand the physics behind this, so let me set you straight: generally speaking, more cylinders = more power (at the same compression and cutoff ratios). More tire spin = less grip, because more tread pieces on the tire are sliding across the pavement, not clinging to it. It's called static friction versus kinetic friction. With rubber and pavement, static friction ALWAYS leads to better grip. Please.

It takes a huge amount of precise throttle control and an ability to quickly and smoothly spin the steering wheel to get the car at the right angle and in the right direction. I agree that it's not very exciting to watch, but it's really fun to try and learn and perfect.
