  • 2:10, tall guy runs shorty over like a bulldozer!

  • i train wtf but we still learn how to fight with fists, only difference is that itf cannot be used on wtf matches :P

  • Good shit

  • GOOD....BUT NOTHING'S COMPAIRED TO WTF!!!!!

  • @MelinaMCCRASH96 Bull$hit WTF are pussys who hide behind padding and besides wtf is a copy of ITF

  • WTF Is The Best than other martial art

  • @soares4178 We had a yellow belt(8th kup) who was only 14 from ITF who smashed the crap out of an adult (24 year old) 1st Dan Blackbelt from WTF ... How do you explain that for being better than other martial arts?

  • I find it funny that a certain person below is knowing full well its Semi-Contact, but still thinking theyre poor Knockouts. Consider how much harder it is to Incapacitate someone with only Half Power.

  • How in the world does this video have so many likes ?

This is more comedy then fighting LOL.

Garbage. Wanna see some real knockouts search Muay Thai please.

  • @Foxist101 Anyone here that is educated on these martial arts knows the difference of what you are trying to compare. Read the below comments. It is true that it is semi-contact. Calling one person's martial art "garbage" is offensive and ignorant. If you are truly just bitching about the title "knockouts" then you must lead a sad life.

  • @Foxist101

    Lol a sad life

Who are you to deem what a sad life is ?

Just like you state that im ignorant, you must be equally as ignorant to come to such a conclusion based on such minimal information about who your judging :).

Try being a smart ass somewhere else mr kidcornchip. go eat chips mate lolol.

  • I thought only WTF allow knockouts, in ITF you dont have to control your contacts?

  • @dragonbut No, it doesnt work that way. ITF Sparring is Semi Contact - But that doesnt refer to Power, as much as it refers to; No Striking "Through", and not using Traditional Reverse or Upset Punches, which are Powerful by Technique alone. Otherwise, especially in the Black Belt Divisions, you can only really tell its Semi-Contact based on paying attention to the Above. Then of course, some People dont mind taking the Foul.

  • only 2-3 of these were knockouts

  • If someone is knocked out in an ITF match, black belts anyway, and can recover within a reasonalbe amount of time and continue the match it will simply keep on going. Unless there is some kind of penalty warrented.

  • a question: do you win or lose from knocking out an opponent?

  • @thelegendxp It doesnt work that way - If an opponent is KO/TKO, they are declared to be... TKO/KO. Then, one of two things will happen: Itll be inconclusive, if it is decided that excessive contact was used (punching the back of the head, for example.); Otherwise the Points will be tallied as usual, as if nothing had gone differently to them just finishing out the match. Fun fact: If your knocked out, most of the time youll be given a Foul, for "Falling Down Whether Intentional Or Otherwise" :P

  • @Caeviens

so if you are in a lead, you can seal the lead by getting knocked out?

someone told me you lose if it was excessive contact and win if it wasn't, regardless of the current points. Do you know if there is a formal regulation on the rules? Thank you in advance :)

  • @thelegendxp Excessive Contact isnt an automatic loss, unless you hit someone whilst theyre down or something. If you just hit too hard (Its technically excessive aggressive contact), youll get 1 out of 3 warnings. You cant so much steal the lead, but the Judges can decide that nobody technically won.

Sometimes youll win by default if you inflict a TKO, but that depends on the Judges/Referee, and the severity of the Injury. The formal regulation is that its up to the Judges :)

  • @Caeviens You are probably the only person I've seen on the internet who doesn't freak out on people who have different opinions. Thank you.

  • @datguy197 Much Obliged

  • lol moste of the knocks outs are from the punches

  • why do they wear thos gay feet things

  • cool vid but some of theese knockouts are people losing there balance i know your gona hate me for this but the olympic one is better

  • @westhamboy95 um... the olympic one is gay. its safer than itf thats why itf isnt in the olympics. there isnt any punches in wtf and .... its.. just ...boring.

  • @T1ger8oi There are punches in the WTF, but its more of a Cover than anything else. Being an ITF Practitioner, ill support your contradiction to the previous persons statement with one fact: People arent being knocked down because they lose their balance. Proper ITF Punches HURT, and they have alot of throwback/recoil in them. And before someone calls them sloppy, thats only because your forgetting that ITF punching =/= Boxing punching, in terms of the technique. They are about equally effective

  • @Caeviens boxing punches and itf punches are equally effective? i dont think so, even though ive never practiced neither of them. boxing punches seems more firm, their body is locked to the ground. and about that losing balance thing. its sorta true. alot of itf fighters back up whenever the opponent charges at them, which makes them lose balance. they dont counter right away; they back up then counter attack. thats what it seems. and WTF doesnt back up cuz they dont have to protect their head.

  • @Caeviens Its two different methods, however. Boxing Punches are intended to be thrown in, hit someone, and go through. To simulate that, just swing your hand in front of your face, and dont stop until its around your opposite shoulder. ITF Punches are intended to be extended, and contracted at the moment of contact. To simulate that, swing your hand in front of your face quickly, then quickly tighten your muscles to bring it to a snapping stop. Karate Punches do almost exactly the same. :)

  • @T1ger8oi @T1ger8oi from a neutral point of view (mma) the olympic one looks better and i suppose that is why it got chose over your one plus the kicks in this look weak as. why do they wear those gay feet things

  • @westhamboy95 Your so neutral, that you insult Shoes that barely cover anything, but dont criticise using Shin Guards that cover the top of the instep. And as for kicks, considering that they are only being performed Semi-Contact, theyre delivering a substancial degree of output. Like Light Contact Karate, something practiced by many forms of, well, Karate. That is all.

  • @Caeviens do wtf wear shin guards then? and wehat do u mean deliver a substantial degree of output english isnt my strong subject

  • @westhamboy95 Yes, they do. Most MMA places, Kickboxers, and othersuch also wear shin guards. Substancial Degree of Output just means that they arent hitting as hard as they can, that isnt the point. Theyre using good technique, and only really making contact to demonstrate that they can. Board Breaking and Heavy Bags are used to prove that they can hit hard. Competitions are Semi-Contact. :)

  • @Caeviens yhyh i suppose we dont really do mcuh board braking in mma and mma have shin gurads because the deliver hard kicks with shins and in pro fights they dont wear jack

  • @westhamboy95 Thats exactly my point - In ITF TKD, Competitions arent a test of strength, rather a test of skill. You are proving that without using full power, you are still able to knock people out, and overall, fight at closed quarters. Then, using Board Breaking and Heavy Bags, you prove that you could be hitting full power if you wanted to, but that you choose not to, for the sake of the competition.

  • @Caeviens fair point i suppose. iot just seemed at first that it would be pointless if you were doing theese fights and never really put them to good use in real life, but fair enough i stil believe that wtf is better but i suppose u cant judge a book on a cover

  • shizzz iw switching to itf

  • @BJBezeme with all due respect to WTF, I still consider it a ballet, with only one type of punch allowed.

  • in ITF more than 2 punches in a row are not allowed, are they?

  • @Chikirinmoto they are as long you can punch as many times as you like as long as you are not knocked down or clinching

  • Neil Ernest. Class.

  • no head gear that shits stupid

  • que buen K.O

    FLAVIO FERNANDEZ

  • parece pelea de bolivianos 0 tecnica en todo no me gusta el itf

  • @fightluv theyre skilled but the rules are a joke,an embarrassment in front of other olympic sports. At least itf allows headpunches even though they are useless at it.Id like to see something like sanda put in the olympics instead of wtf tkd.

  • @billysue2 i wouldnt. WTF wasnt as wussy as it is now before it joined the olumpics. its due to the olympics that they had to change the rules and make it rly bad. if san da was put in the olympics, it would b without throws, no kicks, and only lefhanded punches are allowed, to the body, semi contact, with body pads

  • @veshkeat wtf was excactly the same before it went olympic, pure useless, the rules were always the same with the exception of headguards.Sanda could easily stay the same in the olympics, they already have full comtact head punches (boxing) and wrestling .Sanda would be like a combo of tkd, boxing and wrestling.

  • WTF didnt exist pre olympic, that debate is what separated TKD from the start. No way in hell San da would be allowed with the same rules as they have now in the olympics. More importantly, San Da is a small comparativly unkown martial arts compared to TKD (with soemthing like 60 million practitioners world wide). Traditional wushu or shotokan karate would be a higher priority (or wado-ryu, or any of the other semi contact, point based karate styles)

  • @veshkeat tkd was first in the olympics in 1996,the wtf was created in the 70s.From a spectator viewpoint, sanda would be the most exciting.Sanda isnt a martial art at all ,its a competive ruleset for chinese kung fu and any kickboxer should be able to compete with a little wrestling training.Leave the semi contact styles to the pussies that practise them. Some form of mixed rules full contact needs to be in the games and not some pansy tkd.

  • @billysue2 "WTF didnt exist in the form it does today" is what i meant to write

  • The red guy at 0:33 what is his name? ive seen him at many tournaments ive been too..

  • just the stuff i was looking for thanks Dontblink

  • The second one shouldn't be there. Intentional face punches are disqualified. Otherwise that's not ITF

  • @PisYCaca1 all face punches are intentional, nobody tries to deliberately miss the target even though ITF is theoretically light contact or no contact. This doesnt happen in comps, youll often see full contact without disqualification. What they wont allow is continuous punching

  • @billysue2 its neither light nor no contact. its semi. U can hit, but not break. no contact is like modern shotokan (the way its SUPPOSED to be, not the way it is. shotokankas still break eacherother mercilessly, despite new rules :P ) where u get points for marking. ITF is the same as semi contact kickboxing

  • @veshkeat semi contact usually refers to point fighting, tkd is light continuous kickboxing(not especially light, its heavier than semi).Thats whyitf ladscompete in the wako light continuos section.

  • EXCELENT!

  • @fightluv ive still yet to see them, iam not sayin there isnt, evry martial art has there stars, and anybody that achieves anythin in martial arts be it competition, to highiest graded student, or acheiven there black belts to master they have go to be proud regaurdless wot art you do,, but as a fighting art ITF for me over WTF and over them thai boxing

  • Nahhh

Compared to the TAGB in england, These guys suck!

  • ITF is supposed to have semi contact competition rules but anyone who has competed at Black Belt level knows its full contact to the body mostly PLUS if you happen to knock out an opponent who runs into a well executed kicking technique without due care - then that's your win. I haven't been in TKD since the early 90's but most of our club sparring was full contact by consent depending on who you sparred with.

  • I'm a Ashihara/Kyokushin karate practitioner and someone told me to have a look at ITF.....Nice techniques although some of the hands are in WTF style position.

I think I might find my local ITF Dojang to attend for extra curicular.

    Thanks

  • @Dobbersky you train in a good no nonsense solid style, ITF TKD can only add some nice kicks to your repertoire. When i trained in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, my earlier TKD training was a definite advantage as I was hunting kicks at angles my opposition wasn't expecting both low and high. Cross training is highly recommended and despite its many detractors TKD is a good martial art. A lot of higher grade ITF practitioners do full contact as an extra.

  • wow. I do WTF an i also like it much more for competition, but ITF is sooo beautiful to watch!!

  • @BJBezeme they're pretty much the same, only in colors in ITF we only got one belt tip.

  • @BJBezeme WTF is pure sport, ITF is more practical self defense (they teach how to use hand too)

  • @BJBezeme ur so right itf tkd is deadly becasue they also use more punches then the other styles of tkd itf tkd is more powerfull

  • @BJBezeme ITF is more realistic sparring which is probably why!

  • ITF is da bast soooooo much bettter den WTF!!!!!!!

  • @JordanL7028 of course

  • Kickboxing-lite with an emphasis on jabby lead-leg side kicks.

  • WTF is betttttter than ITF !!! it's true guys !!! whaaa ha ha ha. sorry dontblink !!!

  • @ariunbayartan2 but look at videos with wtf sparing or if you want (matsogi) they dont use hands.imagine fighting on the street,if someone wants to kill you i think its to better to know how to use your hands

  • @kopenda

wtf taekwondo sparring cometitions are just a tiny part of the complete training, exept if you have a club that focusses on competition or the olympics, other than that you're completely right, if you wanna be able to fight, do kyokushin, if you wanne be able to defend yourself, do krav maga, aik-/hap ki do, if you wanna have lots of fun, adrenaline rushes, kicks (litt and fig.) and lots of action do wtf taekwondo!

  • @kopenda you got that right ive done taekwon-do for 15 years ukta and itf and mauy thai 16 years and i havent been beat of a wtf fighter as they get knocked easy because they cant defend or use hands m8

  • @leftjabhook in all fairness the vast majority of itf guys cant use hands either unless theyve boxing experience.Ive had almost the same background as yourself,17 yrs itf,2 thai,10 boxingand now 5 wrestling and bjj since I cant strike anymore due to injuries.

  • i loled so hard... xD

  • kick is strong than punch. kick + punch

  • i thought knockouts and full on strikes werent allowed in ITF tournaments.

  • All i know is that wtf fighters are skilled, but itf fighters are more skilled in street style fighting. No hands to the head in WTF? Thats ridiculous. In a real fight, a tag in the head will end it, no matter how great your kicks are.

Every martial artist should strive to be a well rounded fighter. Knowing more than one style is the best way to go. But I have trained both ITF and WTF, and if I had to choose one, it would be ITF in a heartbeat

  • ITF is the world of weaklings better join WTF... That's not taekwondo

  • @ChrisWindyBoy They are so weak that they take punches to the head... So true... Now go play your Tae-Do.

  • are these old r new..

  • This is pretty cool. This is the kind of Taekwondo tournament I wish I could have faught in before. I did WTF. What are the rules for ITF sparring? Where can the punches go on the head and where are they not allowed? Can you do leg kicks?

  • @whitedragonawa punches to body and head and same with kicks. no big over hands allowed or uppercuts

  • @ThOutRider2 Can you punch directly into the face with the fist? I know point karate does not allow that and you can only hit the side of the face where the headgear covers.

Why not uppercuts or big overhands?

Can you kick low to the legs or no?

  • @whitedragonawa kicks only to the body and head and no KO punches, no spining back fists neither. if you KO someone with a punch youre disqualiffied (how ever u spell it)

no heymakers, but you can punch a straight to the face :) at least

  • @ThOutRider2 Can you knock out with a kick to the head?

  • @whitedragonawa yeah but not everywhre i think some competitions dont allow it.

    but usually you can

  • I always did WTF sparring. ITF sparring sounds more fun, but it would be cooler if it was hard contact.

Do they break the fighters up between each point like in Japanese Point Karate?

  • @whitedragonawa ITF thinks that its not right to stand there as a winner for knocking someone out. No they do not brake up between each points, the judge in the movie brakes upp cuz they are knocked :P

  • 2004 TKD IMPACT OPEN

  • Awsome vid.

    Great fighters.

    5 stars

  • Excellent. The pocket rocket in action!!

  • great video! 5stars
