i love this game! as well as bof3, which in my opinion had the best dragon morphing system. :D

bof games and a lot of other good rpg's were never really popular because of poor marketing/advertising. and let's not forget the big hype the final fantasy series does with each new release which is why many developers don't even bother to advertise to compete against them. :d

This game is a masterpiece. One of the few game, i talk about even today because of the story, music, graphics. The evolution of the 2 main protagonists, their quest and the final choice... I loved it.

This game has an amazing 2d animation. I wonder why almost every game now has to rely it's grapphics only in 3d. I wish we could find more games with this grapphical quality

i like more rpgs with a max of 4 characters for a battle thats the reason i dont like too much this breath of fire ( i have never play it before ) but BOF 1 and 2 are really cool games.. btw the graphics for me are excellent looks epic, but more of 4 characters make me judge it too quickly =/

omg i can only remember bits of this game but i fucking loved it! I was only a kid at the time, so didn't understand it that well but damn this was good. You remember you could combine spells?

Yes you can combo spells to make them stronger (there is video in Related Videos I believe) , but I'm more into physical kind of combat.

Probably graphics....I can't think of any other reasons because this game has cool story , great characters and most important - fantastic battle system.

@Firzen8 I dont think it's graphics, they have really good graphics for a ps1. If they made a PSP game it would be alot better or a PS3 game. It's probably because most people judge it about it's name.

...if you have rusty sword, and if you equip it with Ryu, will the kill counts still count if you kill the monsters with cray, or do you have to kill monsters with rusty sword in order for it to increase?

Those are fearies , in the middle of the game you gain control over their colony. You can play minigames in their villiage and gain 2 skills - fairy attack and warshout.

i had Ryu level 46 and the rest of the party average 29 and i got Screwed during that fight. but my mate nick managed to do it with all his characters lvl 32-33

It's pretty simple fight if you think about it and prepare right.All you need is lots of vitamins (the ones that heal your whole party , you can buy them) Cray with his spell that raises your party def by 20% (with this he won't be able to 1-shot you but I got pretty lazy in this vid :\) , Scias with his Shining Blade and Ryu in dragon form (you burn AP very fast that way so you will probably need some wisdom seeds or other items) or other character with Shadow Walk skill.

lol to up level its easy .. use ivory dice 8 times on a +\- strong enemy and you will win more than 20000exp and more than 10000 exp (note ivory dice double the exp and money the efect is acumulative) for example : enemy = 200 exp and 100zenny - use ivory dice 1 time - enemy = 400exp 200zeny - use ivory dice again - enemy 800exp 400zenny - after is 1600 exp after is 3200 exp o.o and its this :D

Even lvl 35 is enough to defeat that boss , but you got some nice idea of power leveling :)

Thanks for the upload. Could you tell me how you got Ryu's Royal Sword and Armor? I thought the only way to get them was stealing from the final boss.

I defeated this boss third time already , so as you can see I stole that sword and armor , it took me bloody 30 minutes to steal this stuff....
