  • I actually kinda dig this cover!

  • I'm proud to say I have played on that piano.

  • You guys are freakin cool. Great job.

  • Wow. Freaking awesome.

    The pianist is slightly off in the fast parts, and the vocalist is just slightly nasally (but on-pitch through nearly all of it). Nothing practice and a cup of tea won't cure. Mind you, this is really nit-picking, just because I always try to offer some kind of constructive criticism. There's really nothing else I can think of in terms of criticisms.

    Upload more! This is seriously good.

  • Heel click, that's when i knew i would like the video

  • shit, if i scroll down and don't watch the video...it sounds incredible.

    can't take the guy singing seriously though if i watch it...goofball :P

  • cool geeks! :D

  • Was the Clair de Lune intro necessary?

  • @LogicThis If by Clair de Lune you mean Rhapsody in Blue, then yes, yes it was.

  • @LogicThis That's not the Clair de Lune, it's Rhapsody in Blue (by George Gershwin).

  • a bit fast on some parts and there were actually some parts missing on the intro. the singer is exceptional.

    play in pubs

    good duo you two.

    :D

    3 stars

  • oh.. my... god...

  • !nice voice! I really like it!

  • Oh my, the pianist NEEDS to learn how to get timing down..that was rough. The singer was alright, but ben folds isn't broadway/choral. Make it more...well, ben folds-y.

    And let's add that adjective to the dictionary.

  • @altopower28 I agree with you. But you have to admit, they did a nice job for not being Ben Folds, right?

  • @honuecker well yeah. they're alot better than some of the covers on youtube. though i just think people should get it down before youtubing it. i dont mean that in a bitchy way ha. they are quite good!

  • Clap, clap , clap...WhoooHoooo...lights lighter and sways it in air.

  • i like the Gershwin at the start since Folds does actaully put a little Rhapsody in Blue during the piano solo.

  • That little song at the start reminds me of Zelda Ocarina of Time for some reason.

  • It was Rahpsody in Blue, but I can see that.

  • soo,, way impressive.. piano player please get a sense of timing :P :D :-) peace :$

  • Dude that is sooo. Good. Can you put the tutorial of how to play that online. Going through the piano parts slowly. That was so awesome.

    Thanks

  • What the- nice pipes dude! Thats impressive. But I don't know if thats the real piano

  • It is the real piano; watch closely when I make mistakes!

  • seriously how can you not tell

  • Just way so impressive! I didnt expect it when the video started... But This was fantastic. Cheers on a wonderful post boys>

  • love the sock ;P necessity is the mother of invention isnt it?

  • sweet

  • Sweet Cover Homies.

  • when i first started watching i thought this was gonna be gay as hell. but when you started singing i was actually somewhat impressed. not the best singing in the world but who cares and nice piano dude.

  • Uhm, Will you marry me? :D

  • We don't think that there can be multiple grooms at the same wedding.

  • UNLESS YOU REALLY WANT THERE TO BE

  • uh, which one if any?

  • Comment removed

  • 4:36 is my favorite part of the song and it was beefed up pretty bad lol, but other than that it was great, good job.

  • wow, you guys are amazing!! great job!! :D

  • Awesome!! Good Luck -- you guys are great!

  • damn that slap sounded like it hurt

  • Cooper and Lewis, that rocks.

  • It's getting closer to 3,000 views. How long is the contest on for?

  • I'm pretty sure it ends on the 30th.

  • Great work, good luck hope it makes benTV - It deserves to be.

  • YES!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND THIS SONG!

  • You guys rock!

  • Way cool.

    Peace

  • that's some mad key work. loved it! how do I put this nicely - wtf - my vocal teacher does vibrato parody, less is much much more and all that shit. I didn't know how it sounds...what would i know anyway...

  • Fabulous skills! And I loved the comedic interlude. Wow~ that piano player is excellent!

  • that's my boyfriend <333 he's beyond incredible on the piano, and he composes. it's ridiculous. i just want a little tiny bit of his talent.

  • You must be proud! He's amazing. Peace and good luck to both of you.

    :)

  • I would like to point out that that was indeed a stage slap. No Lewises were harmed in the making of this video.

  • Aw, you destroyed the illusion that he was singing his heart out through the terrible pain of your brutal slap. You play the piano very well! How long have you been playing?

  • Thank you :) I have been playing piano for 5 years.

  • Shall be lifted- nevermore!

  • And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor

  • And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;

  • And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,

  • On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;

  • And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

  • Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

  • Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"

  • Leave my loneliness unbroken!- quit the bust above my door!

  • Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!

  • "Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!

  • "Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting-

  • Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

  • Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."

  • It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore-

  • Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,

  • By that Heaven that bends above us- by that God we both adore-

  • "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil- prophet still, if bird or devil!

  • Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

  • Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore

  • On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore-

  • Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted-

  • Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,

  • "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!-

  • Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

  • Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"

  • Respite- respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore!

  • "Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee- by these angels he hath sent thee

  • Swung by Seraphim whose footfalls tinkled on the tufted floor.

  • Then methought the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer

  • She shall press, ah, nevermore!

  • But whose velvet violet lining with the lamplight gloating o'er,

  • On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamplight gloated o'er,

  • This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining

  • To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;

  • This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing

  • Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

  • What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore

  • Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore-

  • Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking

  • Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;

  • But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,

  • Of 'Never- nevermore'."

  • Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore

  • Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore-

  • Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster

  • "Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,

  • Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,

  • Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

  • On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."

  • Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have flown before-

  • Nothing further then he uttered- not a feather then he fluttered-

  • That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.

  • But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only

  • With such name as "Nevermore."

  • Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,

  • Ever yet was blest with seeing bird above his chamber door-

  • For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being

  • Though its answer little meaning- little relevancy bore;

  • Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,

  • Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

  • Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"

  • Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore-

  • "Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,

  • By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.

  • Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,

  • Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

  • Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door-

  • But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door-

  • Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;

  • In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;

  • Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,

  • 'Tis the wind and nothing more."

  • Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;-

  • Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore-

  • "Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice:

  • Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.

  • Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,

  • Merely this, and nothing more.

  • This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!"-

  • And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore!"

  • But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,

  • Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;

  • Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,

  • Darkness there, and nothing more.

  • That I scarce was sure I heard you"- here I opened wide the door;-

  • And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,

  • But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,

  • "Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;

  • Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,

  • This it is, and nothing more."

  • Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;-

  • "'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door-

  • So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,

  • Thrilled me- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;

  • And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain

  • Nameless here for evermore.

  • For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore-

  • From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore-

  • Eagerly I wished the morrow;- vainly I had sought to borrow

  • And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.

  • Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,

  • Only this, and nothing more."

  • "'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-

  • As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

  • a tapping,

  • While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came

  • Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,

  • Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,

  • Not enough views yet.... maybe more comments would help.

  • This is sweet.

    Cooper thanks for sending me this.

    piano and vocal is sweet

  • dats awsum, i hop u win! gud luk!!!!! <3

  • That was Great! Hope you win

  • you guys are great. I hope that you will win because you would deserve it.

  • I believe that there may be so very much win in this video, that bits could be chipped off and given to unfortunate orphans in the street.

    If you wanted to.

    You get an extra hundred and forty stars for adding Gershwin, by the way.

  • I love the rhapsody in blue intro, that was rad.. 1thing, dont look at him why you say "i love you your my friend"... kinda ghey.

  • Hey you guys are really good!

  • This is made of win.

    There is absolutely no alternate way of verbalizing this other than in the previous sentence's style.

    Awesome.
