  • Great job! So I'm planning in joining WW and I'm happy I found your video. We have the same goals, so it just nice to see someone else's journey.

  • Great job!! Your videos inspire me a lot! And you might have heard this before but you sound like Cher from Clueless, such a cute voice!

  • It's nice to hear u say about ur imperfections (I don't mean ur body - it looks fine to me). I mean when u said about eating out of pity (and other related comments). It makes u more endearing and not so Stands-With-A-Fist which is how I normally see you i.e. gritted teeth, determined, achieving, confident business woman, nothing phases you. It's nice to be able to feel a bit closer to the person. I strangely feel reassured too by sharing this information.

  • hopefully nobody gets me wrong. I sincerely didn't know this.

It's not that I looked perfect (like those hollywood stars) but I don't even have the ambition to look like that. ( me 5 days after giving birth: watch?v=EbzV7WVz6MI )

And with being active I mean mostly that I danced around in my house a lot for fun and instead of walking to the bus or store I ran to it, just out of boredom. I'm lucky I'm hyperactive I guess...

I wasn't aware woman struggled with this, but they shouldn't, be proud.

  • I really didn't know that woman looked like this after their pregnancy. A week after birthing my daughter I went swimming in a bikini and nobody could see I just gave birth a week ago, and I thought it was normal.

But then again... at that time I was still vegetarian and eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and was active, so I had a good amount of muscle (not obvious, but they were strong). Especially the muscles (abs) helps a lot to keep looking/being healthy through and after a pregnancy.

  • You can tone up a bit, that gets rid of a lot of the loose skin.

  • Thx 4 the vid. When i was pregs, I used to go to a website showing real women after birth. I am still struggling to lose mine. I joined WW as well, & i am working out aprox. 20 activity pts per wk at least. Its hard to eat enough bcus I have 22 pts., plus the extra 35 per week, & w/the workouts, I get at least 20 xtra per wk. I only lost 1.2lbs in a mo, bcus i am so confused abt how much i should be eating. My next weigh in is 2morrow. Wish me luck. WOrkin on eating more filllng foods.

  • why u so worry about your body..there's no something wrong with that. u said that u were happy but why u complaining?!

  • you are awesome!!

  • Thanku so much for sharing this! Thanku for your honesty and boldness. Since Feb of '09 till now I have lost 32pds. But my post baby body (stomach) is the same...battle scar as well. Its something I am coming to terms w/ and ur vid has definitely helped my journey in accepting my body post baby! Thx and congrats on ur weight loss so far :)

  • DuuuuDE!! You can get rid of that with time.. I am pretty much like you over weight when I was younger then got really skinny and fit.. THEN I had twins and had to kiss all my hard work good bye.. My Tummy ended up so disgusting.. sigh.. But If i were you id focus on weight training rather than cardio to get your tummy back.. I made the mistake of cardio and lost too much too son and wish i did weight training instead..

  • way to go girl!!

  • you are far to pretty to worry about a couple of ounces of loose skin after having a baby your hoooooot

  • Flawed?

    Frail?

    Insecure?

I think you're perfect, strong and totally beautiful.

Thank you for inspiring us mere mortals - you're amazing xx

  • Amen sister!

  • you are my inspiration!

  • you are such a beautiful person..inside and out. you are just so genuine and open and i love that. and i am not embarrased for you at all. in fact i'm empowered by your words. i'm in the journey with you...went from 145 at 5'2" 2 years ago to 123 now..which is kinda where i'm stuck and trying to jolt up again and reach my goal of 105-110 pounds. thanks.

  • C-section scars are like a baby's first foot print into the world. My wife has 2 of them, right next to each other.

I think your belly is beautiful. And I'm probably not the only one. Your strength and honesty is a wonderful thing to see.

  • its great that people are starting to show what the real women look like. in ireland i work with a load of size 8's which can depress me no end but went back to ww last week and lost 3 pounds :0)

  • your still hot. just rub some of that butter and coconut oil on you and the skinn will start to tighten back up.

    c section scars are sexy.

  • Stay strong and positive llike you normally show in your videos. I'm glad you have a place to vent when you need to. As you know what you are doing is one of the hardest things to do in life and it is an everyday struggle. I show your videos to some of the people that I help to train at the gym. They find you and your videos to be an inspiration to keep working towards their goals. Sometimes they feel like they are the only ones going through the ups and downs. Thanks again for being you!

  • Love your honesty... it requires a certain level of wisdom to accept us just the way we are.

  • Noone is embarrassed for you, and nor should you be!

You'rte right, it's the most natural thing in the world.

    Good luck, little Mommy=)

  • You make me proud to be a woman.

  • great video.

  • i had never comment to your videos. But now is time to support you on this. I had a baby on may 5th, 2009. I have a 5 month old baby girl and i feel so dow because my body is totally a disaster. This is my 3rd and last baby and i know now that i never will be the same. Just think that you are not alone on this. you look greattttttttttttttt , seriously!!! i wish i had courage to show you my 3 c-sections belly fat, hahahaha. Besos to you

  • thank you for sharing this my son is 16 months old this month and I still have a little baby belly and am finding it hard to except the way I look I have for years. And knowing that I am not a lone means a lot so thank you and you have done amazing

  • you are awesome! i wish that there were more people like you out there- lord knows we need the honesty! i love, love, love this video and i can't tell you how much your words resonate with me-my little guy is 5 months old and i am with you in the battle against body image. it is great to know that i am not alone in this- thanks for the posting!

  • You are so incredibly beautiful. This video is unapologetic and fearless and five stars for that.

  • I posted a video response because I wanted you to know you are SO not alone in your insecurities and goals. I also posted myself in very little clothing in my first video (Real Accountability). Since then, I've lost roughly 17 lbs (49 all together) and am feeling a lot better about myself. I'm no where near reaching goal but I'm getting closer one day at a time. Keep up what you're doing. You're amazing!

    BTW - Jude is ADORABLE<333

    -Liz

    <3

  • If I would be a guy, I'd marry you without hesitation:) Anyway, this is real life and not a fucking fairy tale so I think we have to make an effort to be the best POSSIBLE person we can be and forget about other people and their *opinions* -- they are not in your place.

  • Great vlog, very real. I wish it wasn't so hard to recover from the physical aftermath of pregnancy. Have you thought about lifting weights? I don't know how that would integrate with WW but there's nothing like building muscle to get in shape quickly.

  • The end was very nice. :) I think you're nice to yourself and that's great.

What I'm wondering about is, 125 lbs wouldn't be much for me. ;) So you must be really small in height? ;)

  • Flawed and frail we all are, just as you. This is a touching account of a personal journey, reminscent of some part of life for each of us, and I am grateful for the post. Good wishes on the rest of your journey! I really really hope it goes well.

  • It's life...and life is good.

  • Thank you for sharing this. It's hard to know what it's really like after having a baby because we see so many celebrities bouncing right back and whatnot. Thanks for your raw honesty with everything.

  • You know what? I think baby Jude was worth the "real mommy you." Your beautiful girl! I now think there's something special about the baby markings post-pregnancy. Keep up the strength! You are very inspiring to women, and have a beautiful family! Have fun on your upcoming trip!!

  • You inspire me!! I love watching ur videos. Keep up the good work!! :)

  • Great video Esther :-) I also do WW (I'm a LTM), and I also BF as well (6 times a day, and I have a 9 month old son). I loved how you showed your tummy, as mine looks exactly the same!!! I also had a c/s, and it has been a battle getting my abdominals back to what they were!!!!

Keep up the great work :-)

  • Thank you for tell me about this....I really needed to know this.

  • emm..i got a bf..we still have like 2 years to get married or 3..but..im dying to have a baby..im 20 now..my mom says i cant have one till i lose some weight...im trying to..but another pro is that im terrefied of havin a baby...

only the period pain knocks me down..how am i gonna bare havin a baby...but i really wish i get one..im lost..

  • Esther you're just great! I love that you love your body no matter what it looks like. I haven't had a baby and I dislike my body as it is now. I've been trying the weight loss thing, did well for a week or 2 then picked back up on a bad habit or two and started to loose my motivation and happiness. But you're right, the journey is all about the ups and downs and it's never always great. Thank You.

  • you're great :-)

  • I love this video!! :) Awesome!

  • you look great.. your face has gone soo skinny, much slimmer than mine (I'm 4 mo PP) and I weigh 10 lbs less than you. may I ask if you're nursing your baby, and if so, is the WW plan allowing enough calories for you, as many of us feel sooo hungry when we BF.

  • Hi Amenakin - congrats on your little one! :) Yes, I'm breastfeeding.. and because of that I get a bunch of extra points to make sure my weight loss is at a pace that sustains nursing. As for my face, as I get closer to goal my face definitely thins out more...

  • awesome. just awesome.

  • Rock on starlight

  • You are amazing and truly an inspiration. I'm also on this journey, and your videos have always helped me in some way. I've been battling this stuff for a long time, and I honestly believe it's one of the hardest things a person can do, but it is doable. And you've already done it once before, so you know you can do it again! Keep up the good work and praise yourself for the progress you've made!

  • The most important and beautiful part of you is not how you look... it is inside of you :) and you are beautiful, unique, and a mom :) Hooray!

  • You are so awesome and I love your attitude very positive.

  • Congrats girl you should be Proud your doing awesome!! Bumps in the road will always be there but you have so much to be thankful for ! Keep up the great work girl!

  • You are beautiful!!

  • Awesome video!!!!!! I know you can reach a body that you would like. Don't need to be a skinny B. But you keep it real and that's what matters. You are beautiful and you are living your life. That's an awesome thing. You will get there eventually. Stay strong and keep it going!!!!! :D

    Cheers,

    Mari

  • u look amazing!!!! keep up the good work!!!!

  • Thanks for all the encouraging comments - you all inspire me! There's no way I'd give up ... I know I can get there again by busting my booty, which I'm gonna continue to do. :)

  • You are doing awesome! No need to get discouraged! Most women don't even get on track to lose the weight right after having a baby. You are a new mommy and you are doing awesome! You should be proud of yourself.

  • Got baby fat? Have another baby!

Problem solved! There is nothing "ugly" about having a baby. Those fems that think it is need to be shipped to China.

    :)

  • Um, yer body fluctuates 5 lbs up or down. This is NORMAL.

  • We're proud of you too!! :o)

  • Starlite, I've been subbed to you for a long time and usually watch your videos, and I have to say your fat/dieting videos are the hardest to watch. I mean really, "most women who just had a baby can't get into a bikini"? Shouldn't it be more like "all women SHOULDN'T be expected to put on a bikini right after having a baby"?

  • Esther, your courage continues to amaze me. I know that by facing your fears and insecurities, you are inspiring countless others to face theirs - myself included.

  • u look great honestly!

  • You go girl!!!! PROPS to you!

  • You are beautiful. I am not religious in anyway. But the fact that your body carried another human and tock care of it for that long is nothing but a miracle!

  • way to go!!!! somtimes you just have to stop thinking about everything so much and relax (while not going over board either)

  • Was this your first baby? If it was you shouldn't have any lose skin and if you do it could be a thyroid issue....it would either make you lose extra weight, or gain extra weight and if effects the elasticity of your skin and health of your hair and skin.

  • Loads of Women get loose skin after their first baby, everyone is different

  • Great JOB!!!!!!! your doing great :)

  • Your skin should firm up a lot more ..I never worked out and mine went back mostly..But still had some.

  • you know what...it's is disturbing to see your body change due to childbirth but you know what you still look good. And we all must remember if our stomachs arent flat as a board due childbirth or not you we are still beautiful!

  • Good job and for the record, loose skin or whatever, you're still really good looking.

  • I can see how showing your body this way would be very therapeutic. Congratulations on your progress toward your goals and happiness :)

  • Awesome Video! Good job on the weight loss too!

It is nice to see someone being soooo REAL!

That is pretty good that you are able to lose the weight like that when you are still breastfeeding. My body seems to want to hold onto those last few pounds.

  • wow.........your doing very well!

  • Go Ester! You have done really well! Your pretty much halfway to goal which is awesome!

  • Thanks for posting - so inspiring :)

  • This is good. And yes, you should be proud indeed! :)

I think so many of us in society feel that we have to have "perfect bodies" when the reality is.... does anyone? bah

Anyway I could relate to this. I gained weight this year after my ex and I broke up and it's been hard losing it and feeling good again about how I look (and accepting myself for how I am now!). There's that vicious circle too of comfort eating I can fall into which doesn't help.

So, this was very encouraging :)

    Thanks!

  • You are soo cute! I think you are coming along great and you should be proud of your self. Believe it or not most of us guys kinda like a girl with a scar. I hope you really push yourself to get as fit as you want and dont use the fact that you are a new mom as an excuse not to hit your goal weight. Some woman say I had a kid so this is what you get. My wife has had 3 kids and she looks amazing cause she wanted to. I think you will do the same.

  • i swear to god i love this video. you a normal mother who finally shows to the world that she has a baby belly. believe me i do too! my son is 2 and i'm 21! i have bad strech marks and still a bit of a belly. so i thank you for such a good video! by the way, congrats on ww. you are doing brilliant. i wish i weighted as much as you i'm about 10st 9lbs. just cant get below the 140lbs range, going back to ww next week

  • i can tell this was a tough one.

  • yeah!! u rock! yes, those are helpful! ur great!

  • well done for doing this is true and all these celebs who have tummy tucks at the c-section its not real. YOu are well done

  • thank you for inspiring me!!

  • You are the best!!!! Thanks for this words because I was needing to hear something like this;)

  • I'm a guy and I have stretch marks on my legs and I'm so insecure about it. You're so brave for showing it off.

  • I kind of like the real you;) Good to see more of your videos!

  • Try not to fixate on the outer which changes and ultimately perishes. Concentrate rather in the inner person---who you ARE. Don't let the culture and TV lies trap you in the matrix of obsessions

  • Woman who have been mothers are often very sexy. So, ok, nature happens, but it's all just another part of what makes womankind attractive to men. There are men who will only ever be interested in porno bikini babes and then there will be men who will be interested in the real thing. I just wish more woman were prepared to be themselves more.

  • Five Stars!!

  • I SO appreciate your honesty <3

  • you are beautiful no matter what!!! imperfections are what make people who they are. :)

  • Good luck with all that!

  • to bad I live in europe and have no idea how to count in lbs, inches, feet, yards or blocks :__:

  • You're the BEST!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You are truly and inspiration! I am just now coming to terms with my own body weight and realizing that I will never be a size 2. I am finally fine with that because I am healthy! I do not want to spend the rest of my life worried about what a scale reads or what size jeans I have. I want to be free of it all and just live! Thanks for your wisdom and honesty!

  • i love your videos thank you for sharing your inspiring love the honesty :)

  • Thank you for your candor.I know you will make it to the weight you believe is ideal for you.If there is 1 thing I have learned from watching your videos its that your determined and you dont beat around the bush.I wish you well in your Journey and all my best to your husband and son.Take care of each other and keep safe.
