  • i give her a like even im jealous of her

  • I have done those sorts of moves before I even knew about the sport, except for the wall-run-turn-jumps. It's great watching people do these moves.

  • I am your..

  • It doesn't matter what gender you are. I don't see how you sexist people think your reproductive parts are going to help you in parkour. It's not like your going to be hauling yourself up walls with you dick are you? dumbass. Yes fine, most girls wouldn't do things like this. But theres no need to assume EVERY girl is a boring girly girl who doesn't do any sports. Don't say these things unless you know them and have witnessed what they are capable of.

  • @fredbobkevinx3

    *your

  • You close minded jerks that are criticizing her and are acting like it's easy let me tell you something, it's not. As a female Parkour Trainer I know what it's like. It takes dedication and time. And it's a passion its not something we do for attention or because we want to look cool. I actually landed a job because of my parkour skills. So its not useless. And for the a**hole emoon3316 you try it. Your probably just too lazy. It's alot more than just what you said people like you aggravate me.

  • @Cakesnumber1fan Since you're a Parkour Trainer, any tips for a 17 year old who wants to start free-running? I've wanted to start for years, but I've had social, health and grade issues before that had to be cleared up first. I have a daily exercise routine, I am working on increasing my strength, especially upper body, and I have been olympic-style fencing more than 1/2 a year, but I have no clue where one would start learning to do this. It not popular around here, and the gyms don't allow it.

  • @AbsentInTheHead Yeah! We actually have a great parkour group that would love to give you tips and help you! Just add us on facebook -DarkCrescent Parkour!

  • Dudes, Parkour is french for 'the art of escape' basically. Parkour (as said be emoon3316) is getting from A to B as efficiently as possible. Free-running is the adaptation and it's called this because you have free reign of what to do. It's more like tricking and doing a couple of more elaborate moves (flips etc). Parkour is just running and ways to plan out every detail in quick time to get to places more efficiently.

  • if parkour is really getting from point A to point B efficiently as possible, wouldnt it be more efficient to take the stairs instead of putting in hours of training to be able to save yourself seconds of time....OR stop bullshitting what parkour is

  • parkour, is just haveing fun doing stuff and free running is when you get to a destination point with the most parkour on your way, im a guy and i do ALOT of parkour im on youtube but a different channel

  • please tell me that women cando better than this at parkour

  • if i werent a runner i would definatly do this! i think that anyone that used to be in gymnastics and cannot really compete because of older age should definalty do this sport

  • I've recently became interested in parkour and I'd love to learn how to do it. I'd help keep me physically active and it'd be fun. As you say, you need to be aware of your enviorment and that could really help open my mind up. Do you have any tips for a potential parkour student?

  • it's looks so stupid. No offense

  • hi. what age did you start practicing parkour? i'm 22. am i still eligible to do it. and i'm quite short. 5'2. if i practice it, wouldn't i be muscular. and it doesn't look good on short people. p/s: i m a girl

  • @vampireloveswolf Anyone can start at anytime! at 22 you still have a lot of potential! search american parkour in google to help you get started. :D

  • hey, ive ben doing parkour for about 2 years now but i only learnt through videos on youtube and just practicing where ever i go, but soon im off on holiday to london for a few weeks and i wondered if the gym with forset and dan is still there and can u just join temporeraly?

  • She deserves respect, for persevering in such a male-dominated field, and for ignoring all the stupid haters.

  • I hope that it's not mean of me to say that it's a relief to see someone else having to stop and gather her nerve before she makes a jump. I've been training for a month and a half now, and this just inspires me even more to get over my fears and persevere.

  • idc if shes a girl or a guy, its simplistic, but I can guarantee half the ppl who comment on most vids are the candy ass 13 year old kids you see in vids that can do flips and movements, but have ridiculously ugly form . Shes not doing flips and flashy stuff, but its smooth fluid, clean, and shes committed which haters usually aren't. Criticize yourself before others, remember that peeps.

  • London is the best place to do this lol.

  • Lets hope the police force doesn't hire these trainers.

  • @bmassa4 You can say that again...

  • @Riskbrayker lol, thumbs up! I have very small walls around my house,,, grrrrrr.

  • cool!

  • nice video, you are good

  • KarenPalmer you go girl~This IS Real Parkour~

  • she isnt flexable enough

  • this is really enlightening :D

    thanks for the vid !

  • much respect.

  • women basketball players cant dunk, women parkourers cant flip, shit sucks

  • @MOTIVEONER parkour is NOT about flips! you messin it up with freerunning.

but dont worry, you are not the only one who didnt get this ;)

you didnt listen to what she said in the video? liten agian, and you ll get it.

  • @MOTIVEONER

I'm still trying to work out why the game MIRROR'S EDGE decided to follow this GRRRL POWRRR bullshit by making it's lead a female, even though I can't find ONE exceptional female Free-runner, compared to the oodles of amazing males. It's the liberal delusion machine constantly trying to pitch us this image of "miss amazing", at the expense of reality. MALE reality.

  • @Hzqi Reality isn't male or female. Only through the one who perceives it does it take a gender. The reason you can't find women who excel at Parkour is because it is a male dominated field. Not many women do this as a hobby. The ones who do should be praised for their strength not mocked because they are a woman and can't do things as quickly as a male can. Women bodies are built differently.

Plus, don't dis women, you didn't pop out of your daddy now did you.

  • @XSilverful

Actually I did pop out of my Daddy. Unless your mummy differs from my mummy, your mummy doesn't have a set of nuts.

The "birth argument" is truly the most feeble fallback position women persistently conjur. "My gender gives birth. Cut me all the latitude I demand!" Is that the part where I kindly remind you that my gender constructed the entire civilization that renders you so comfortable? Or do I just chuckle at your fallback position?

  • @XSilverful

Oh, and you forgot to actually refute my central point, which is the retardedness of the mainstream media and entertainment sectors, that pander to women in order to broaden their appeal. I'm not dissing women. I'm dissing retards that pander to women.

And yes, the reality is male. Unless you'd like to point me towards a free-runner that is female, that is actually remarkable. I tried and didn't find one. Reference to reality is about what is ACTUAL. Not what is "perceived".

  • @XSilverful

So after you're done accusing my mother of producing and projecting that was manufactured in her testicles, maybe your feminist (oh yeah, you are. Your misguided mental skew of monopolizing reproduction is a dead give-away) ass would like to address that point. All the great free-runners are male... And yet the first videogame founded on the specific premise of parkour has a female lead, pursued by generic male baddies. GRRRL PWWRRR! Wow, what headache inducing, pandering dogshit.

  • @Hzqi

    1. GRRLL PWRR! Yeah, A guy says that he gets slapped.

    2. The game had a female lead because it's hot. Come to think of it a lot of that game was fictional. We all know the main idea of a female main character is dependent on the tits. Big tits: to attract male players. Small tits: to include female players.

    3. Shut up, FFS. Theres a character limit for a damn good reason.

    4. Make me a sammich.

  • @LOVERofPARKOUR

Gets slapped by who? An offended female? Does that mean she cops a right-cross for her trouble? Or do you empowered babes not get into the whole equlity thing when it comes to accountability?

It's "hot" to who? Male morons that need to take their hormones out on porn and leave the rest of design to good taste? Or female morons that need to weather their insecurities by engaging a fantasy that doesn't exist?

Slap me, and I'll make you a knuckle-sammich.

  • @LOVERofPARKOUR

I couldn't be assed to confirm your gender through a video. Being 15 isn't enough to cast dubious light on contribution to socially scientific subjects, being a fan of Rise Against is like a litmus test for discrediting insight.

Contemporary teenagers and their preoccupations with the work contemporaries and/or peers. Eep.

  • @XSilverful

Sigh @ a couple of typos, but meh. You get the gist.

  • respect to that girl!

  • @brigitannmcdonnell You get back up again. It's like in "Batman Begins": "And why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."

  • She's beautiful. I like how she stated that everyone has to start somewhere, and training for parkour is all about overcoming your fears. I liked that she humanizes parkour. It's not just videos of spidermen/women doing incredible things.

  • Девченки молодцы! Хорошая работа! Уважаю таких, кто не боится и идет вперед.!!! А те уроды, кому не нравится, могут дальше играть в КаЭс. А я всеми руками за девушек в паркуре!!! :)

  • Wow, her definition of parkour matches that of wikipedia and other websites almost exactly! Good, strong dedication shown though :)

  • @brigitannmcdonnell if you fall you fall

if you get hit by a car you get hit by a car.

    Simple logic

  • i like how when she does her jumps she has to compensate for her booty xD

    its cute.

  • Karen Palmer has nice buns!! FTW!!

  • great video very inspired

  • parkour is awesome. wish i was good at it.

  • looove her <3<3 !!! im proud being a woman :D

  • omg i want you to teach me ded bad can i ask you a qouestion how do u wall run

i am learning but its hard

  • why would i do something i think is retarded?

  • @Pinkboy67 and posting a shit negative comment on youtube isn't retarded?

  • @83Hammerhead no, it's not

  • @Pinkboy67 you think it's not, believe me, it is! but haters will be haters so I don't expect you to grow up :)

  • @83Hammerhead speaking of stupidity it's pretty stupid to disregard time as a definite force

  • da kann man mal sehen dass auch Frauen parkour können

  • Pinkboy....I would love to see you try and do what Traceurs do.

  • hurr watch me jump off a fucking rail. I'm so awesome. Give me money.

  • Like to see you do anything like this. If you're gonna talk big, you gotta prove you are to.

  • i love doing parkour been a week now and got my tic tac to cat down YAYY.. it all because i seen this a week ago...

  • why do they always have to look like guys...

  • Thank you so much for entering my life thru Youtube. I plan to start today the beginning of my parkour training.

  • Yes yes and yes again.

We need morde Girls in Parkour like you.

    5s'

  • That was a sick underbar at 44 seconds.

  • i wanna do parkour now. haha

  • Noob but cool

  • Nice!!! tnx for the vidio it helps me a lot

  • Im a albanian parkour...and i am impressed...that girl is cool

  • you are 12 but you can't spell.

  • lol. not everyone can be that good. just do it for the fun of it.

  • YEAH!! PARKOUR GIRLS FTW!! =D

  • this is so inspiring. im excited to start doing this.... :D

  • she is the only women i seen who is actually good at parkour so far, and she is right about the mental and phisical strengths, most of the time i find i can do things if i overcome the fear of them first. :)

  • was this in london?

  • yep

  • an angel just got her wings 3:00

  • 3:16 i could've done that too... and Im like the laziest person i know.

  • It looks like a short difference but when your right there trying to do something like that, its way bigger than it seems.

  • That is mental strenght not fysic ... It's scary, you could slip and stuff like that... Even boys could be scared there... But hey, video tape it and post it ;) Then I'll believe you, now you are just a mushroom and a troll :)

  • have you tried? right.

  • yeah parkour isnt supposed to be a team sport

well i wish it was, like one of those baton races, except on the roofs of buildings in a city that would be awesome

  • It can be a team thing... Check out the video "Yamakasi 2"

  • It should be extreme cops and robbers, capture the flag, or something.

  • the best way to do parkour for begginers is at a play ground

  • hmm.. youd be suprised. I have been doing parkour for a few years now and actually i have discovered playgrounds can be very dangerous to learn parkour in. Its the bars really. Bars are harder and more dangerous to learn on. I find good strong walls make you feel more confident, and theres less chance of you bailing or hurting yourself. But once you get past a certain stage playgrounds can be really useful.

  • ooo well ive only been doin it for 7 months so idk much lol

  • Well, no, you do have a point there. Playgrounds CAN be great. Just pointing out theyre pretty risky too. peace.

  • this is great! very inspirational for me i am a girl in the mans world of parkour and i love to see some female role models in this sport !!!!! :) xx

  • 3:15 must be a great feeling when you make it

  • wow her philosophy from 1:23 - 1:53 is 100% what plll need to be thinging all the time

  • and your a douche

  • i just noticed while at school i parkour =P

  • it is just something you do for yourself not for other people you do it because you want to see how far you can go

  • yeh cos she puts her toes down whitch ur spose to do cos u could injure ur heel or sumit

  • o^o Whoa, she really lands steady. :'D Wicked balance.

  • Who the fuck cares how good or how crap she is. Everybody starts somewhere, everyone sets out to achieve their own goals, everyone excels at their own pace.

This isn't a competition sport. So anyone criticizing her or anyone else on the internet about their level of Parkour doesn't know the true meaning of why we do it. IE you are posers who brag about your shit.

  • Thank god there are still people with some sense left on the internet.

Like you said, everyone has to start somewhere, no one is born and is naturally amazing at parkour, it just doesn't work like that.

  • Amen, brother. But I don't parkour.... But, I guess that can apply anywhere...

  • @HrcWhitey Well said! I couldn't have said it better!

  • @HrcWhitey exactly!screw them!

guys, parkour is about training your spirit to overcome obstacles and boundaries.it's about being free in movement and having your body on the same level as your spirit.and believe me,that's what it is for david belle.that's why he's so great, and his level of parkour the highest possible :P

  • @HrcWhitey

    :)

  • @HrcWhitey Yea I started JUST today, and on my first try i did a spin, plant, kick off, spin and got first try. but I tried 0:46 at a park and kept eating rail, and ground. so these LITTLE tricks she's doing is actually, HARD AS FUCK

  • @HrcWhitey Right on...

  • she aawesome!

  • no one takes classes anymore.I am self tought and so are a lot of of other people.

  • when she says "outdoor" she simply means not in a gym

  • Keep at it!

  • Mental Yes! but I FAILED! :L Look at my Video on my Channel! Its 2 years a go tho! but it hurted! :L Im much better now! :D

  • In parkour, it doesn't matter about who is better. It only matters who is GETTING better. As long as you wake up, and know more than you did when you woke up yesterday, you're doing well in parkour. It's not about where you're at. It's about where you're going. Regardless of sex, age, weight, etc. Parkour is about bettering yourself, not impressing others.

  • Word.

  • She's very good. How can you say that she's not...

  • parkour is freedom. u cant fell the same felling as when u do parkour.

  • I learn everything on the street,

    where there are no instructors

and failure costs you a lot more than in a gym

  • Meh, she's better than me, regardless of her gender -- are you better than her?

  • ...Yes...

  • woow cool

  • i think it's cool female human does this sport!

  • female human... another type of animal can do this too?

  • im sorry didnt meen it that way, i didnt find the word, i mean woman

  • oh.not many people around me no about parkour.only my friends cus i told them and now there into it to.i dont have many good spots either.only at playgrounds and stuff

  • i've been doing parkour for about 2 years now and i'm in the same situation as you.

  • 2 years of training and no further clues how to use your environment? The only limits are your abilities and creativity. I.e. I can train on two parallel rails for like 2 hours by myself and it's far from being boring, rather challenging, every new way of using it to develop my skills. Try the same, good luck with your training, train safe.

  • shes a student!!i didnt no thetre wer like schools for parkour.i do live in the states tho.

  • There are sessions across the whole country. I haven't been in the loop for two years after being injured so i'm not exactly sure where, but you should search and you'll find something.

  • there is a school in france that teaches parkour i saw it in nuts(lads mag) lol

  • thank you. I checked out that video you reccomended and i was impressed.

  • I love Parkour Generations!

After i was spent 3 days with Stephane Vigroux and Thomas Couetdic my training changed so much, nice guys too.

    Loved the video. 5*

  • "Find me a woman who does what the guys do and i will be quiet. And respect her. "

Post us a vid of yourself outperforming all the traceuses and we'll be quiet and respect you. ;)

  • hmm maybe... kat female parkour. a vidoe in youtube. shes got quite some skill.

  • Missing a few huge points here - parkour is completely NON-COMPETITIVE. It's just about moving through an environment efficiently, being strong and useful. If we women 'did what the guys do', the planet would be even more screwed than it is. Moving quickly and efficiently is more true to parkour than backflipping off things and risking your neck like a knob.

  • thank you Skeetarus!

    Parkour is completely non competitive.

and about that video of Kat -

    watch?v=1Nk7_fwNuVQ

  • @skeetarus

    well said!

  • Maybe there are less experienced women in parkour because they have to deal with people like you.

  • For any feminists who say anything against women is sexist. YOU are wrong. I am not sexist at all. Anyone who has seen enough parkour can see that this woman does not even compare to most of the MALE videos out there. Not sexist, just true. The guys run faster, jump higher and further, do more flips, etc. The most this woman has done is jump over some railings. Not very impressive...

  • "The most this woman has done is jump over some railings. Not very impressive..."

What makes you think that Karen cares the slightest bit about how impressive her movement is? As long as she has a great time when she's moving, no one can possibly surpass that. : )

  • Oh yeah, if you look at it that way, sure.

Why does parkour even exist? Olympic athletes jump further and higher, and artistic gymnasts do way more flips.

Next time please think before you post ok? ;)

  • You're an idiot.

  • I'm an elite gymnasts and even I marvel at the things these guys can do.

  • I didn't think I needed to tell this, but that was a sarcastic comment. I'm not saying parkour is is useless, I'm saying parkour isn't only about jumps, flips, etc.

  • She's just learning. Give her a break.

  • See For Any Haters Sayin Woman Cant Parkour, Free-Run, Or Trace Your Wrong They CAn Do Just As Much As Men

  • I want to learn parkour, but without breaking my neck, however there doesnt seem to be any places or official groups like that anywhere in the UK, at least that i can find.

  • Yeh! But they teach her to roll straight down her back! She could damage her spine is she rolls like that on a big fall.

  • k thnx, i wanna get into parkour, but dont wanna injure maself, cos people around me;d stop me doing it if i got even a minor injury, but im watchin loads of pro vids about it before I attempt small things

  • Good approach! always be careful when you start doing something that you don't have much experience with :)

  • thnx, know any uk groups or support places or sumthin thats free? thatd help a lot

  • nah soz, I'm only 14 so... yeh lol :D You live in the U.K? coz i do i live in cornwall :D

  • ye I live in UK, im 15 tho, an live in derbyshire, so nmo-where close rlly... anyway thnx

  • HA! Parkour Generations have run academy classes in the UK for years now... the best teachers in the world are on your doorstep my friend.

  • thnx man :)

  • she has a great personality :)

  • damn right dont fukin roll like that u will brake ur neck

  • 1:59 !!!!! What the hell! Surely they don't teach them to roll like that!!!

  • aren't you supposed to roll from one shoulder to your opposite hip?

  • nice u should type in Team stree flow there pretty gud for there age ..... so yer watch there 5th its pretty insane parkour stuff

  • dude that's not funny...ever
