I bet this "hunk of shit" pulled a lot more women back then, than a 68-70 dodge charger Hemi. Lord knows, it's a hell of a lot more sexy than a DODGE.
Wow the most desired Muscle Car in the World is your 68 Charger, 67 Camaro, know-one even knows about this Lambo Wagon...you know why? Cause it is a fucking Hatchback with a V12. So your argument has Legs to stand on.
I can Drive a Dodge Neon Srt4 with 800HP and Blow Ferraris doors off and it will not get you any more respect cause by the end of the day...it is still a fucking Neon
You stupid ass hat! This car was a LAMBORGHINI! Go anywhere in the world, ANYWHERE, and tell someone you are giving them a free car. Then tell them, they have a choice between a LAMBORGHINI and just about any other car on the fukn' planet, and see which one they pick. Lamborghini has, and all ways will, build some of the most bad ass cars in the world. You're just mad that you can't afford one.
@BIGBOY2TON THANK YOU!!!! I really like muscle cars but to say in 1968 that a Charger was better than than this you would need to be drunk and on cocaine, a dumbass shit head right out of highschool could tell his mom and pop to pick him up a Charger for 6,000 , now i know inflation has hit us hard but in the 70s for a car of that power was REASONABLE price, and the Espada was a car for the rich, had better performance, and was a true gentlemens car.
@k9forkids Since you are so rude and hostile: You are a child. Maybe no one in your trailer park knows about it, but other more prominent people knows about it. I personally have been invited to one of the princesses in Europe to show my car, but you probably consider these kind of people "know-one".
But a good conditioned Charger or a Camaro also has their charm . Why so hostile?
If people in general don't know what a priceless Bugatti Royale is worth who cares? Those who know cars know it's value.
Lamborghini owners and enthusiasts know what it is. Who the hell cares about what kids in the ghetto or bluecollar workers in their pick-up trucks know?
Also, you need a car to get respect?? Proves what social class you're from. Your reasoning is on pimp level. Wonder what Dr.Freud would say about your musclecars?
Bet it cornered a lot better, braked better and was stable above 120mph, comparied to the Dodge musclecars which according to contemporary roadtests were pretty scary to drive at those speeds.
Watch Bullit to witness the fine handling of the Charger (I am being sarcastic), which was bad even by the standards of the 60's.
In the real world people use exotic cars more than just for stoplight drags.
You know, it doesnt matter how much better this lambo handles than your Iconic Muscle car. If this Lambo is your indication of style than I hope you are married because no woman is going to think that you driving this WAGON will make you any more attractive. An Old 911 has style, a GTO has style, a 65 Mustang Fastback has style but this Lambo WAGON does not!
@k9forkids This car had just as much style as all of the other cars u mentioned and it was just as popular , and its not a fucking "LAMBO WAGON", if u ever saw one in person you would know that it was no longer than a Ferrari 364 GTB/4 (Daytona) witch had the snout of an elephant :P. This car is just not ugly, the only Lamborghini that in my opinion is truly UGLY, is the Faena, if u want to see a LAMBO WAGON google this car
Hallo, no there is no downside except that fuel becomes a little more expensive with API TC oil 1:100...truly a good solution against petrol corrosion!
@cuttlefisch I understand that the Monteverdi has a top speed of 240 kph and the Espada has a top speed of 260. But the Monteverdi is nevertheless a real stunner. There are other things that are more important to me than top speed or acceleration. Style never goes out of style
@buse67 : Considering the Monteverdi normally got 3 speed automatic transmission they have tested it with a 0-60 time of >9 sec and a top speed of 133 mph, both tested in 1975 from automotorsport in germany. I dont got any figures for the 4 speed manual version though. Road&track tested the Espadea 400GT in 1972 with 0-60 time fof 6,5 sec and a top of 158 mph. I think the Espada will always be a winner - especially when it comes to style.

I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Sports Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps the cabs and injectors clean as new!
@buse67 too much oil (or a low quality one) and it will stick to the valves so they may become dirty and may not close properly or not move at all. look inside a two stroke engine exhaust to see what I mean.
these cars are gorgeous, they had all the amenities that most car wouldnt see until many years later, electric windows, four wheel disc brakes, air conditioning and so forth, i saw one at a wendys one time, just parked out there, it was white and it looked like it had a few miles on it, i would never buy a car just to keep it in a garage, cars are meant to be driven, not abused but driven
my sister reluctantly used it when her riley elf was off the road, it was her husbands car , yes i agree, the lambos are the bad boy of supercars, a mans car indeed,
My fav (Lamborghini) GT and a stunner. Future classic, buy a good one now!
Miura engine up front!

I still think that the Miura is the most beautiful car Lamborghini has ever built.

@ponchoyo Well, it´s probably the other way around because the Espada came before the Challenger, but I do agree that there are similarities
