  • I agree with donewiththeweight you need carbs you just got to get the from the right source such as grains,corn friuts, and veggies.

  • You do need carbs, I have trained myself to buy whole wheat pasta and only 100% wheat bread and this is what helps me with carbing.

  • I am with donewiththeweight. You need carbs. They give you energy. Hollywood fake diets want you to believe that all carbs are bad. You crave them when you deprive your body of them.

    I did South Beach Diet for 2 weeks. I lost 12 pounds but I was a BITCH!!! I attacked a piece of bread. I was dreaming out eating a bowl of grapes!!! If a diet tells you that fruit is bad for you then it's not a good plan.

  • I know what you mean. I LOVEEE carbs. Especially bread. But you know the feeling will pass. What i find works for me is to cut bread out PERIOD because once I start in a day, I have to have carbs ALL day. So now i only allow it twice a week or so for rewards if i'm doing well with my weight loss.

  • CARBS ARE THE DEVIL! That's what I hate about carbs...when you eat them...you crave them! It stinks. I can totally relate!

    Because of the aspertame scare!! i jus stick to water, tea, and apple juice, orange juice. I do need to try the gum though

  • I agree with donewiththeweight's comment. Don't feel to bad about it. I personally don't have a problem eating carbs because I know that eventually I will want them and I dont want to gain back the weight after it's lost so I am eating the same way I plan to eat when the weight is gone. Make good carb choices and you'll be okay.

  • I was thinking I could cut them out all together but I see I'm wrong. THANKS for the advice guys,!! I gotta incorporate good carbs vs bad carbs.

  • Eat your carbs but watch the grams of carbs that you eat. For most people, 45-60 grams of carbs are recommended per meal. The key is to keep your carbohydrate intake consistent at each meal on a regular basis. Also remember carbs and fatty food is like any other addiction. Your body will crave for it.

  • people always have the misconception that carbs are bad and that you must stay away from them but actually you need carbs as long as you're getting them from the right places such as whole grain foods, vegetables, fruits things like that. your body needs carbs to break down the fat in the body so you can eat carbs just choose the right kind. if you want pasta eat whole grain pasta and bread it's much better for you.

  • are you drinking or eating alot of artificial sweetners like sweetnlow or splenda if you are that will make you crave carbs like crazy.. also have you tried chewing gum when you have cravings that has helped me alot as well..
