If its a full docu i would like to buy it maybe otherwise you can put the docu up on the internet so people can fall in love with this super boardgame.
My husband taught me a year ago and I Love this game like no other. This game can apply to life on so many levels. I do not know how to play chess. But for now I must agree, this is quite a cruel game ♥
Ernie pick is so funny. There was a more detailed look at the life of Ernie in a video a couple of years ago. It hasn't been on youtube for a while, has anyone seen the vid?
Appreciate all you're doing Andy. I enjoy watching whatever videos you and the WSOB put out into the mainstream. For all, have a look for the documentary Falafel's Game.
@pokernuts really? I went to the site and I thought they were fund raising to complete it. nuts, I would really like to see it in it's fullness. Who is Andy? The producer/director?
@sandworm3 @pokernuts I was trying to raise private finance for this back in 2005 when there was a wave of successful feature documentaries. The creation of the World Series of Backgammon overtook it.
I am not planning any more documentary on backgammon though I think this film illustrates the potential and hope someone else may have a go..!
It's hard to make it appear exiting for a novice player to watch. Hopefully more and better backgammon shows on TV will come along. Anyway, pretty good doc.
The next big backgammon event is the WSOB in Copenhagen, Denmark during easter 2008. I (the guy touching his white hat for luck) will be attending and hope to see some of you there.
Yeah, I was #52 in the U.S. and I just let it slide away. I play every now and then and I haven't been beaten by anyone in 4 years. It's just a super tough game to master, but my favorite by far.
Too bad backgammon is still unable to explode to a mass audience again like it did in the late 70's. Like poker, it's an exciting game of luck and skill and fascinating to watch.
