No it does not cost $400,000 to shoot this gun. Maxed at roughly 8,000 rpm. Rounds are roughly .50 a round for them MAX. That's $4,000 for a minute, so $800 for 12 seconds. Still crazy expensive for you and I to shoot, but hey, the military deserves it. It's them that protects us all.

Gatling also had the first electric gatling gun in 1890's and holds the patent to it ( this patent would pertain to the mini gun).
