Holy shit, ha ha, I actually have this entire rendition of Carmina Burana and I actually studied this particular piece because I'm going to cover it with my classical/black metal project (The World Philharmonic Black Metal Chamber Orchestra - 1 timp, 2 cymbal, 1 snare, 2 metal guitars, black metal and operatic vocals, 2 violin, 1 viola, 1 cello, 1 double bass) and so I actually learned what the English translation was and your pictures are fucking awesome, ha ha.
@kackn0ob Well, just the "Estuans interius" because well, I mean the other mate that is in the project with me is a tenor, I'm a basso profondo, and we don't know any women or anyone who can do soprano or anything like that. Besides, I want to mostly do original stuff with that project, instead of just rearranging and adapting other's work.
After 10 years of being a chorister, I have finally found my home in a choir that performs the most wonderful music written through the centuries, and currently we are performing Carmina Burana. Being a latinist, I understnad the lyrics and had an easy time learning them (we're not allowed scores).
The drawings are absolutely wonderful. If you find yourselves in Lower Austria on 25 September 2011 go to Burgschleinitz for a scenic performance of the Carmina!
I'm performing this tomorrow for a grade and in a few months as part of a recital to garner my bachelor's in vocal performance. I could not have memorized the lyrics without your video. Thank you forever.
I love HH. Heard him in recital 20 years ago, and he was magnificent. No surprise that he sings this excruciatingly difficult aria beautifully, with apparent ease:) --
@sabbersolo His theme may have the same first line but I won't be tempted to make a Sephiroth version of this. He has suffered enough at the hands of fangirls already ;)
thank you so much. I love this version, his his high notes are like Corelli's (a feat in and of itself for a tenor, but a baritone with high notes like that, amazing)
I liked the idea, congrats!

@trooubermensch Classical music and metal really is a match made in heaven :D Will you be playing the entire Carmina Burana or only Estuans Interius?

Sounds suspiciously swedish? :3

what is this man doing? he should be singing Rigoletto, Macbeth and Simon Bocanegra, not Mozart and Swedish music. his voice is DRAMATIC.

@raigekimaru
on second thought, with such an easy, spinning top, he might be a dramatic tenor.
