I think that science is a useful heuristic that seems to be able to describe the objective reality around it, provided we can devise a way to test an idea. That's all it is.

Religion, pseudoscience, mysticism, shamanism do not describe the world with such accuracy and do not provide knowledge we can use and test.

Science doesn't explain why gravity exists, but it can help to explain how it works and how we can use this knowledge.
