No, Lanzhou is not part of Tibet. Tibet starts slightly west of Lanzhou - talk to any old Lanzhou family, they know the true borders. Tibetans did have temples in Lanzhou; however, Lanzhou was not a Tibetan town.

Vietnam and Iraq were not permanent, massive areas of land attached to America that America tried to administer as "American citizens."

Trying to administer Tibet as "Chinese citizens," when they have no desire to be, and when most Chinese have no real connection to Tibetans (or Uighurs) is excessive.

It's one thing when there are small pockets of minorities within China itself; but large land masses with 95% Tibetan or Uigur population, different matter entirely.

The problem for the government is that 1) it has blocked YouTube, thus showing this film is real, and 2) it's against the Chinese constitution to beat people in custody and 3) one of the dead Tibetans has already been identified, and the government admitted yesterday that he was dead - they said even tho he's lying in this video, he didn't die here, he died of a "disease while at home awaiting arrest."
