Animated in japan does not an anime make. While the topic of "What makes anime anime" is one that can spark a lot of debate, it's generally accepted that anime are shows that originated in japan, were made in japan and targeted towards a japanese audience. Transformers were a japanese toy line that got made into a TV series by an american company when they came state side. It was animated in Korea, but then again so are most cartoons.

Bay was the best at Transformers And It was carly in the 80's. Mikaela was a pretty brunette and sam was alot cooler (megan fox/Shia Labeouf) played those roles.
