have watched this vid of yours a handful of times always swearing to myself i'd try a fender next time i was at the shop, yet never did.

was in today buying a pack of eb skinny top heavy bottoms, and decided to give one a try. the fender jazz on hand didn't suit my fancy.

but OMG i tried a squier fretless and i'm just blown away. the tone is superbly better than everything i own. quite sure i'll be picking one up soon, so thanks for steering me to an awesome purchase!

the wal was too blah for me. theres no crunch or bottom and it sounds too hollow...not that i don't like theyre work during the wal era, just i dont like the tone. he went back to the fender for more crunch and bottom. he said that his ricky had too much of one of the two and not enough of one...can't remember, but the J is geddy's favorite and mine too. im a fender person mushself. so think about playin some rush on youtube. try playin with the ricky :D

I don't know what Geddy's settings were on his wal but I can promise you the wal has more mid crunch and lows than the fender jazzz. Rick definitely lacks lows...why i sold mine

I actually like my tone better than Jeordie's...He plays on a fender precision and this is a fender jazz. He has a little more low end and the jazz has more mid range crunch.....I like it alot. :)
