I know this is an old video of your carb, but I actually appreciate it a lot for keeping this on here. I have an old '72 Polaris Colt that hasn't run in 10+years. Finally took it home and took apart the carburetor. An HD carb which Tillotson doesn't seem to carry anymore. *shakes fist. So I checked out the website mentioned (MFG Supply), and I was shocked. They HAD IT! Kudos for you. Any chance you know why my engine would start up (pumping fuel) then 2 days later it doesn't? I'm having issues.
@icanflyhigh I am no expert, but your inlet control lever may be bent. In my video I didn't replace or clean under the welch plugs and if your sled has been running for that many years there may be dirt under there.
@adsc2006 Yeah... Thank you very much. I took the carb completely apart again and soaked the gaskets in fuel, cleaned out the welch plugs again and BAM! I got it to seal up and ran it for about 30 minutes on full throttle (driving around on snow) and works beautifully. Thanks again for the reply. I have the video on my channel if you care to see what I was talking about.
Rob, If you have any old snowmobile repair shops you can give them A try. The new sled dealers usually don't have a clue about this old stuff. You could also give the mfgsupply website a visit. Hope this helps.
Hi adsc, thanks for your response. I found some diagrams and I'm also joining a club, maybe I can get some parts I need. I may need to get another hr 17 carb. If you have any info please let me know

It may be wise to track down a replacement carb. The screw is threaded so getting it would be challenging.

The plugs being installed the wrong way on the parts carb is no big worry at this time. I guess I'll have to put a new carb kit into that one.
