I was sent away to cabin in 87-88, there were 100 of us kids there in one big dorm (only one was white ) and sometimes more. I remember there was hardly a vacant bed anywhere and there were absolutely no programs.
We would sit around talk all day, eat junk food sold to us at the commissary, lift weights, watch tv, play pool, fight. It sucked being detained and there were alot of hardcore dudes there, but the setting in the mountains was sublime. I actually look back fondly on those days
