I've been listening to Goapele since she started to gain underground popularity in the Bay Area music scene. They were blowing up her single "Closer" all over the radio stations during my soph year of high school (2002). I have many memories tied to her music so I always get that sense of nostalgia whenever she comes up randomly on my Ipod. From listening to her back then and now (I'lll be turning 24 in 2 1/2 weeks) she has truly evolved herself and her sound with elegance and grace. GO GOAPELE!

Personally, I too think that auto tune should be used for those who actually have talent ; when I say that, I mean that she actually pours her heart and soul into what she is expressing vocally, not for what ever boosie excuse T-pain and any other 'artists' of the like have for even bothering with it. This isn't to discourage or put down upcoming artists, it's just the art of using this tool has become so played out by the wrong people today. It should be used for flair, not attempted touch ups.
