No one can recreate the way a song was originally recorded, sometimes not even the original artists, but Robin McAuley can sing the pants off anyone any day of the week. Check out his renditions of "That Summer" or "Faithfully," or better yet his work with MSG in "What Happens to Me" or "Anytime." He could make the theme from Gilligan's Island sound good.

He sings it pretty well here . In another video he didnt achieve it so easy . Bottom line is his voice just doesnt have the quality of Jimi's . And i dont care if i get thumbed down . Most are from hard core Robin M. fans most likely .

Okay, this guy has finally won me over...

He's singing pretty effortlessly. Really good! Very good control and his high notes are pretty full, unforced and have a nice pure tone. He's also got really good expression and musicality going on here. I think this is an extremely good rendition of this song. Kudos to you Robin!

That being said, I can't feel that Survivor is Survivor without Jim Peterik... :(

I do agree with celebeb that Arnel Pineda is amazing!!! Definitely check him out.

I'm gonna have to say when I started to watch this one, I was like "Who is this guy that's gonna sang it?" Then once the song started I knew it would sound better than the original recording bcuz it's Robin McAuley! Anyone who sings with Michael Schenker is a tremendous vocalist!

Jimi sings this the best. Period. But Robin does a great job of doing it in HIS voice. I will agree, though, his voice is not the best suited for the band, but Robin is always stellar. I'm sure Peterik is fantastic, but having written the song ,If he was that much better, he would have sang it himself
